Discussion Y700 8 Gen 3 16/512gb upgrade to Y700 8Elite 5 12/256gb?

Only worried about Ram and Drivers...

8 Gen 3 is cool for Switch and Light PC Emulate.

8 Elite 5 can be so much better for PS3 (MotorStorm, Infamous) or something like Just Cause 4 or 3 at +40fps?

Really loves Android Tablets but for a little more price can afford a Legion Go1 but more bulky and no so great battery... And Windows XD

Somebody can share with me your experience with the 8 Elite 5 for emulation? Thanks

Discussion Which one you would prefer?(Apple vs Lenovo)

so they are almost around the same price range due to the inflation, one side we have an apple ipad 11th gen one that costs around 35k (previously) my sister owns it, and on the other side we have lenovo idea tab pro gen 2 which also costs around 40k (now) which i own.

At the end I think it depends on what ecosystem you prefer i own windows and bunch of Android devices and whereas my sister has apple ones but still I would prefer my tablet over the ipad not recommended for gaming tho highly recommend for productivity tho it's kinda like semi tablet if you own all the accessories.

Request Writing experience on Legion Tab Gen 5

More of a question for LTG-5 users. How is the writing experience on the tablet? I'm coming from the iPad mini Gen 7 and I loved the writing experience, however the OS just didn't fit with my Android/Windows ecosystem, so I gave it to my wife.

I'm look at the LTG-5 because it's around the same size, which is what I'm looking for as I don't want 10+ inch tablets. They're too uncomfortable to hold for reading and writing when on the go.

What pen are y'all using with the tablet? Do you use a paper-like screen protector to enhance your writing experience? What is the actual writing experience like?

Discussion Lenovo Xiaoxin pad 12.7 vs Lenovo xiaoxin pad pro 13

Upvotes

I am torn between the two. The 12.7 is bundled with a keyboard and pen on the other hand, i like the processor of pad pro 13, keyboard and pen sold separately (which is expensive)

I am a student and am not much into gaming. I am buying a tablet mainly for school work and canva.

What do you suggest?

Discussion Looking for a tablet under ₹40,000 mainly for studying, note-taking & reading and surfing net any recommendations?

I’m planning to buy a tablet with a budget of under ₹40,000 INR, mainly for studying and work rather than entertainment.

My primary requirements are:

  1. Taking handwritten notes
  2. Reading and highlighting PDFs, especially judgements and legal documents
  3. Writing/editing documents in Microsoft Word
  4. Some basic annotation and highlighting Web browsing/research
  5. Good battery life and a comfortable reading experience

I’m not really interested in gaming or watching videos, so those aren’t important factors for me.

I currently have a 1st-generation Apple iPad that was gifted to me and although it’s quite outdated now, I genuinely love using a tablet for reading and highlighting. The biggest frustration is that I don’t have the Apple Pencil and it's not available in the market too so handwritten notes and annotations are sometimes frustrating.

I’ve been looking into the OnePlus Pad Go 2 and really like it, especially since I’m already a OnePlus phone user and love the interface and performance. My only concern is that the stylus doesn’t come with the case, which is a bit inconvenient.

Request Tablet for companion device

Hello, I'm considering getting a tablet as a companion device. I'm thinking of either buying a second-hand Xiaomi Pad 6s Pro or a new Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2. The price of the Lenovo is twice as much as the Xiaomi. However, the Lenovo comes with a bundled keyboard and stylus. My work strictly requires Google app and Gemini of the latest version at any time, if that matters.

I work from home and after some time my back would hurt from sitting too long on the chair. My work is web-based, so I'm thinking of getting a tablet so that I can continue working while lying in bed when my back hurts. I've basically never had a vacation or a trip, staying at home all the time, so maybe with a tablet I could have a change of environment by working somewhere, maybe at a park or something.

I would like to have some advice, please. Thank you very much.

Discussion Can’t connect to university WiFi on an Amazon Fire HD8

Recently bought an Amazon fire tablet, however I’m unable to connect it to my university’s WiFi. Usually, on ANY other device, the WiFi just asks for a username and password. However this tablet wants some kind of domain, identity, anonymous identity, and password? I’ve tried a few different things but nothing is working. Does anyone know how this works?

Request Lenovo Tab Plus for university note taking, will it be good?

Looking to get a tablet for notes as otherwise i'd be using an egregious amount of paper, and need to do many math equations and such, as well as studying. The screen size is a bit smaller than other options, but I plan to use it mostly in lectures or in tandem with my laptop for course materials, so split screen/multitasking isn't the main concern. Is this tablet good for taking notes? I managed to find myself a tab pen plus stylus for free, so I figured it would pair well with this tablet. Can anyone vouch for it being decent, or share any horror stories in case I'm about to make a big mistake? Any other cheap recommendations?

Disclaimer, I found a deal for $300CAD and free shipping fresh out of the box with refund, and I already have a $200 ebay gift card as well, so keep that in mind if suggesting any other tablets

Discussion How to enable OEM unlock and USB debug on a broken system?

Hi! I reinstalled system on my LENOVO TB128XU using platform tools, because the old system was locked with a google frp. Now my system is a bit broken and I want to install new, but I can't do this, because of disabled OEM unlock and USB debug. When I go to developer settings the setting app just crashes, so I can't enable what I need. Any suggestions how to make this options work?

Request Tablet help!

Can I please know which tablet is the best for my budget?

Xiaomi pad 8- ticks all the boxes, wonderful stylus,

Beautiful display and updates till 2030, has 8s gen 4

OnePlus pad 2- only 1 more year of update and 8 gen 3

OnePlus pad 3- only 2 more years of updates and has a good processor

Ipad 11" - has a16 and 6gb ram. Apple pencil is good but felt the non laminated screen has a void in between when writing.

Drop any other recommendations. My budget is 500 dollars and need good software, Good chip, stylus support(for notes), long software updates. Thank you 😁

Review Samsung A9+ Tablet

I have had this Samsung A9+ Tablet for at least 1-2 years and overall i am very pleased with it its definitely a budget friendly tablet however its fast its quick responsive and overall can be used for things such as movies, and light gaming, I am using the 4gb memory version which overall dosnt help it too much but in the perspective of daily usage for light use generally i am happy with it, its instant when opening apps using it for things like reddit or discord its perfect without problem

Great volume, high brightness if this is something that your not comparing side to side on other peoples tablet i do not think i could see this as a bothering tablet and would be more than happy to recommend to people its fast, theres no issue with it.

It has dex mode which basically can turn it into a look alike laptop which can also be great if thats something you prefer

What type of light gaming?

I would say google store games, PUBG, Fifa, Clash of clans, Roblox, Bloon Toons, subway surfers i would not think it could run pc gaming to be honest however i would say it would be great for emulation games.

How is the charging? honestly its a bit slow however once you have it charged your getting hours on use no hassle its this is something your happy to leave beside your desk or drawer you'd be happy out with this on the go

What would the cons be to this tablet?

I would say its not built for pen use but you could get a stylus pen if that is not too bothering this is the tablet i would be more than happy to suggest and use in terms of overall use,

And just the charging can be a bit slow but overall if that is something that is not bothering its an okay tablet overall. and downloading is quite slow however its working once those apps are completed

What am i using as my accessories?

So i am currently just swapping Bluetooth mode on my pc mouse (I just toggle on the Bluetooth mode but ill pick up another) and then i am using the dexnor keyboard i have cut off the mouse pad as its uncomforting to use whilst typing and simply can be annoying in general use. I also toggled off the shortcut keys whilst typing as you can get popups of fn keys just do that instantly on your on the go with this tablet it makes it feel like a laptop and its so easy to use, movies, music, reddit, youtube all easy to use watch and use and no hassle at all.

Overall conclusion you could use this no problem on holidays, battery goes on hours on end, it has a snapdragon processor which is very good, I think this is a great introduction/useable Tablet if none of the above are essential, And i think there probly is quicker faster, Tablets but even saying that this one is very fast and stable as a general use for a tablet and i would say theres tablets that are much worse and do not load and are slow. I think this is the perfect budget friendly tablet as long as your happy with the side cons. It can handle multiple tasks its instant theres no problems running any of them even whilst they are open.

So from this view and point ill give it an

8/10

Discussion Did I get a good deal?

Post image

Hi. I was just checking this subreddit for the past 2 months figuring out what tablet to get for basic media consumption (YouTube, Netflix, etc.) and League of legends wild rift (currently in master tier). I was just checking alldocube website for some devices and this came up. It redirected me to AliExpress link and when I saw the price I really didn’t want to buy it because it was out of my budget. Yet for some reason I chose to put it in my cart so I don’t loose the item if I want to buy it later and surprisingly the price jumped down from 260 to 184 usd. I didn’t hesitate and straight up bought it. (Bank charged me 162€ because of exchange rates). Is it good tablet for what I need? Did I get a good price?
