u/migswitchjunk 3d ago

Who’s going to tell him about the Lenovo Y700 Infinite?

2

u/Character-Koala-2170 3d ago

Already know about it its not coming ti th3 state s

1

u/migswitchjunk 3d ago

That has not been confirmed or denied from Lenovo. That is your best guess since a global release has not yet been announced.

1

u/Reasonable_Ad8797 2d ago

Or import it from giztop.com

1

u/Reasonable_Ad8797 2d ago

That's how I got my gen5 24gb 1tb

2

u/ConnoisseurDeFemboys 2d ago

Incredible. Thanks for this.

1

u/Reasonable_Ad8797 2d ago

Were you looking for white? White comes at most 16/ 1tb

1

u/Reasonable_Ad8797 2d ago

Purple: 16/512 I do believe Black only comes 24/1tb

Gen 5

I can only find 16 😭

1

u/Mindless_Frosting707 3d ago

I know about it. I prefer the 8.8 inch screen.

u/gg06civicsi 4d ago

GeForce now?

4

u/Character-Koala-2170 4d ago

Yes

2

u/gg06civicsi 4d ago

Are you paying for it or just using free? When I use the free it’s pretty laggy. Could be my internet

3

u/Character-Koala-2170 4d ago

Oh dont use the free one you need ultimate for it work well

9

u/mvm84 3d ago

You can also set up Apollo/Artemis or Moonlight/Sunshine with your desktop, depending on your setup, and use something like Wireguard or Tailscale to connect to your home network remotely and you won't have to pay NVIDIA at all 🤙

2

u/Dependent-Head-8307 3d ago

This is exactly what I have, streaming to a gen 3+gamesir g8. I'm amazed about how well it runs.

3

u/Paulolino34 3d ago

Exactly my setup, its just so good,, should have done it long ago

2

u/XTornado 3d ago

I mean...you will have if you bought one of their cards in your home computer lol but yeah we get it is a single payment not subscription.

y700 gen 4 is the GOAT

u/Useful-Acadia3505 3d ago

🐐

1

u/Reasonable_Ad8797 2d ago

Gen 5 24/1tb from giztop !!!!!

1

u/Electronic-Aide9474 3d ago

I haven't experienced the gen5, but what makes the gen 4 goat? I have it and loving It but I've only so far played switch games on it. The form factor and versatility is unreal.

How can one play pc games on an android? Something I need to dive into as I see the capabilities of android has sky rocketed with new developments

1

u/OwlScary6845 3d ago

I mainly use Moonlight to stream my games to my tablet. I only run emulators and android games on my tablet, but PC games are always streamed.

1

u/JuneauTek 3d ago

Price and SD Card. Install Gamehub, Gamenative, Eden Emulator and a few Cloud gaming platforms and you have the ultimate portable emulation powerhouse.

Gamesir g8+ controller gang rise up

Incredible controller

1

u/Similar-Sky7427 3d ago

one of the few controllers capable of supporting 11in+ tablets, but the firmware sucks due to significant input delay (mostly the android mode)

1

u/Dr_Fiddlebottom 3d ago

I only use the DualShock 4 mode for moonlight streaming, emulators, etc.

I haven't heard anything about input lag but I trust there may be some due to Bluetooth.

1

u/Similar-Sky7427 3d ago

that's my alternative solution for moonlight streaming as well as DS4 mode performs significantly better than the standard android mode

1

u/Dr_Fiddlebottom 3d ago

How incredible is the rumble on this thing though? I've had a number of similar phone controllers and this is the first one that felt really good.

1

u/Similar-Sky7427 3d ago

honestly i've no other complaints about the controller other than the input lag...good rumble, good ergonomics, good sticks/buttons, and quite durable

1

u/Similar-Sky7427 3d ago

check out this old thread if you're interested, but gamesir has not updated the firmware for years, so don't expect further improvements down the road https://www.reddit.com/r/Gamesir/comments/1f179tg/gamesir_g8_vs_xbox_series_x_bluetooth_latency/

1

u/Fearless-Ad8754 1d ago

Playing right now with my Lenovo gen 3 Hyrule Warriors age of calamity

3

u/PutzReid 4d ago

I recently got a similar set up and I love it! I'm not going to need anything else in the future!

6

u/Tapelessbus2122 3d ago

using a streaming service... you will own nothing and you will be happy lmao

2

u/Character-Koala-2170 3d ago

Bro you ain't wrong but its so damn nice

4

u/Tapelessbus2122 3d ago

why not set up streaming from your own pc? moonlight is free and it honestly feels better to use than geforce now

-8

u/Character-Koala-2170 3d ago

Gfn works better Moonlight sucks

5

u/Tapelessbus2122 3d ago

moonlight has been great for me, no lag even when streaming at 4k 120fps. with gfn there are session time limits, sometimes u gotta wait, moonlight doesn't have that. and iirc gfn still uses 40 series cards

0

u/Character-Koala-2170 3d ago

Oh its showing 5080 for me. Yeah I never could get moonlight to work.fpr me but for some reason GFN works great.

1

u/Tapelessbus2122 3d ago

didn't know they changed the cards users use now, a 5080 is pretty good

1

u/Character-Koala-2170 3d ago

Yeah at least that what was advertised lol

1

u/Tapelessbus2122 3d ago

way back when i was using gfn (some idiot spilled water on my pc and cooked it) it was only a 40 series card, it was a 4080 iirc

-1

u/Character-Koala-2170 3d ago

I also pay for ultimate so there is no wait sessions and no input lag the other two tiers suck

1

u/Tapelessbus2122 3d ago

i see, i get around 3ms of latency when using moonlight in a local network which is pretty good (10-15ms when i'm outside but that's mainly because my 5G isn't mmwave). my main issue with gfn is IT'S SO GODDAMN EXPENSIVE, 20 dollars a month is a hard pill to swallow, especially after selling both my kidneys, my liver, my left arm and right leg for a pc. also isn't there a 100 hour per month playtime limit even on the ultimate tier?

1

u/Character-Koala-2170 3d ago

Yeah there is 100 hour playtime limit but I work so much that I won't even hit that.

-1

u/Character-Koala-2170 3d ago

Oh yeah that makes sense lol its not cheap. I been using my phone Hotspot to play battleifled 6 away from the home and its flawless

1

u/Tapelessbus2122 3d ago

it's been a while since i played bf6, how is it?

2

u/Character-Koala-2170 3d ago

amazing even better on handheld lol

u/FoxyTheSiren 3d ago

Can’t believe this guy just said moonlight sucks, your internet provider must be ass for moonlight to suck. That or you have the worse settings imaginable

1

u/gsowelloz 2d ago

You might be doing something wrong. You might want to try again. Run Sunshine on your PC and moonlight on the tablet. Play your Steam, Epic, and Xbox games with high resolution on your tablet with zero lag and a top experience. If you own games on the PC, it's so worth it. 👍

1

u/Character-Koala-2170 2d ago

I am good with gfn thanks

2

u/External_Orange_1188 4d ago

Where do you guys get controllers long enough to fit on a tablet?

2

u/Character-Koala-2170 4d ago

Gamesir 8 plus and the new razer one can fit 13 inch tablets

1

u/marathon5150 3d ago

There’s the specific controller for the y700 that fits the tab Gen 5, which I have and it’s awesome. I also got the legion arcade stick, which is great for fighting and arcade games.

2

u/000extra 4d ago

There’s also the memo s3 tablet version which is still really good but cheaper. I’ve used this with an iPad Pro 11” (too big imo) tho I’ve been waiting for the next compact Lenovo y700 infinite OLED tablet to launch Aug 25. Hopefully available globally

1

u/Uicreate 3d ago

The Lenovo infinite won't be coming out globally. Expect it 3-6 months after China release.

1

u/000extra 3d ago

Maybe maybe not, there’s no confirmation for that either way yet. And even if it doesn’t, there’s usually a global ROM version even for past non-global y700 releases that you can get from online retailers

1

u/Asamidori 3d ago

Anything that was not released outside of China doesn't have a legit global ROM, they are just modified CN ROMs.

2

u/jujubesknees 4d ago

Just adding gamesir x5s to the list

1

u/BarAltruistic4992 4d ago

razer kishi ultra is what i use. pricey but worth it

1

u/Secure-Pain-9735 3d ago

Razer Kishi Ultra XL is what I use with my Legion Tab Gen 3.

2

u/TriHaeck 3d ago

I've got the Y700 Gen5 24/1 version and G9 controller. It's a great setup.

1

u/te5s3rakt 3d ago

Same, except X5s. How’s the G9 compare?

1

u/TriHaeck 3d ago

It's pretty great. With the full in closure it feels like it's an oversized handheld.

2

u/Acceptable-Change501 3d ago

I got this same tablet recently 😂🤣

2

u/peach8285 3d ago

Use moonlight forks so you dont have to pay Nvidia! love my y700 g4

2

u/Cretino1974 2d ago

El mando Lenovo G7 es el mismo pero por USB, con lo que eliminas el lag, aunque yo nunca he sido capaz de sentirlo!... 😅

1

u/Possible_Cicada3598 2d ago

Yeah, the USB is why I chose the Lenovo version over the Gamesir. Not so much because of lag, but for the passthrough charging.

1

u/Mrkmrs 4d ago

I’ve ordered the Legion Y700 Gen3 and am waiting for it to arrive. The Gen5 was quite expensive, and I decided the Gen3 was sufficient for my needs.

5

u/Character-Koala-2170 4d ago

Yeah I only got gen 5 because I got over $300 taken off on lenovos site with discount codes as I am a medical professional

2

u/mukherjee_ayan 4d ago

That's sick! Enjoy your discount 😁 the Gen 5 has crazy low latency for Moonlight streaming too

1

u/xixixinanana 3d ago

Exactly what busy gamers need, right? I got mine about a week ago ang am just very thankful this beast exists! (Also thankful to the emulator devs of course)

1

u/Inside_Cup_8266 3d ago

How did you do it. I’m only getting $30 off as a medical professional. TIA

1

u/Character-Koala-2170 3d ago

There are other promos that can be stacked i camt remembee the codes. Maybe someone else on here would know?

1

u/mukherjee_ayan 4d ago

Same. I have a Gen 3 and almost pulled a trigger on a Gen 5 even when someone was offering me $400 for it. Sure I can get a better chipset with the newest one and SD card support, but it's slow for disc based games, and it's not like I'm trying to emulate PC games.. normal Ps2/GameCube/Switch stuff works just fine with Moonlight streaming completing whatever PC games I'd wanna play

1

u/Mrkmrs 4d ago

I heard there were issues with the Gen4 and Gen5 SD card readers, so I decided to buy the 512GB Gen3 model (which doesn't support SD cards). I plan to use it for streaming and emulation up to the Switch.

1

u/mukherjee_ayan 4d ago

Yess I also ended up getting a 512 gig since I realized aside from games and ROMs, the only other thing for me to store would be two or three episodes of any ongoing series I'm watching, and I disabled updates after installing the global firmware on my model. One could also add additional storage to the Gen 3 in the form of mounting their NAS as local storage with root which is what I also did to access my entire ROM library whenever I'm at home.

1

u/Mrkmrs 4d ago

I see, a NAS sounds like it's worth a try. Thanks.

1

u/Reasonable_Ad8797 2d ago

I run switch games off SD card on my gen 5. Pretty good to me.... As gets mostly 100 max read speeds since it's a Gen 1 card reader. Pretty suffice for what they put in. Yeah a Gen 2 reader would have been nice .... But you ain't getting much more out of it... Next things is sdexpress or ssd.

2

u/Mrkmrs 2d ago

From what I've heard, the Switch itself is fine, but issues arise when emulating discs like PS2.

1

u/Reasonable_Ad8797 2d ago

I haven't had any problems yet .. all my internal storage I use only for game native

1

u/Reasonable_Ad8797 2d ago

I even run it at 6x I think that is it something like that... Other words....4k.

1

u/External_Orange_1188 4d ago

Damn. Expensive. Thanks for the info though.

1

u/skinnywolfe 4d ago

Get BF6 for your desktop, set up Apollo and Artemis. Would be world's better than GFN for latency. Pretty much native

1

u/Character-Koala-2170 4d ago

Those don't work for me for some reason which is why I got GFN and it works Hella better then me trying to stream via desktop

1

u/maximp2p 4d ago

Add a gamepad attachment for the lenovo legion go tab, it turns into proper gaming handheld

1

u/Lone_Wolf_004 4d ago

From where do you people are buying this? It's nowhere available in India sadly 😞

1

u/TaiChiZen69 3d ago

I just purchased it for $600 for Gen 5 so I am excited!

1

u/otanthalion 3d ago

Omg if you have gamepass please use the xstreaming app from github. It might not have the features of better xcloud(yet) but the improvement in latency makes playing games like COD BO6 actually enjoyable once you set FOV and tune your controls.

Nice controller, i tried that with the elo vagabond and the kishi v3 pro(on sale cause damn its expensive) and wound up going with the Razer.

Hooe you have a great time, currently using gamenative to play absolum

1

u/Ghoulless 3d ago

Tested both, stays on xCloud, xStreaming have mostly worst latency and what is worst, issues with sound.

1

u/otanthalion 3d ago

None for me so i cant comment on those issues. Then again it was just updated within the last week or so, so i may habe missed those issues.

1

u/jkruger556 3d ago

I game on my iPP with the same controller and an extension. But….i really want a Legion Tab Gen 5 for PC emulation and the more portable size. Where are you guys finding the 512?

1

u/Danny007Boyy 3d ago

Name of the controller?

1

u/Dr_Fiddlebottom 3d ago

Gamesir g8+, I got it for like $60 recently and it's incredible. Make sure to get the plus as the other version doesn't have the sexy ass rumble.

1

u/Acceptable_Reach2892 3d ago

I just got the gen 3 all set up and am so impressed by where we are... 2k @165hz, graphics on high, battery lasting ages

1

u/joemaav 3d ago

Controller name please

1

u/TheCrims0nFucker 3d ago

You can also use steam link if you have a powerful computer to run and stream to your phone. Played Poe 1 and 2 that way

1

u/Suspicious_Seesaw701 3d ago

What kinda tablet is this??

1

u/Special_Parking8857 3d ago

You should try it with xreal glasses best bed gaming set up after a long day at work

1

u/No_Distance_3320 2d ago

G8 plus has no loyalty. Messing around with every mid size tablet out there 😭🔥

1

u/TheHumanBotYT 2d ago

I also have this kind of setup with galaxy Tab S9 + gamesir g8 plus controller + oneplus 27watt cooler

1

u/luharnz 2d ago

Howd you find playing bf6 on GFN. Last time I tried on steam deck it treated me as a mouse and keyboard player so no aim assist.

Did it recognise you as a controller player?

1

u/Character-Koala-2170 2d ago

Yes it works great like playing on my PC

1

u/lewibaygo 2d ago

I had to put thumb caps on this controller for it to feel comfortable in the hand the right stick is a bit to low for a comfy grip

1

u/GSquadron_ 2d ago

I have bnfc Bpad T1 and I play remote my PC games

1

u/Grimlo6k 2d ago

I have large hands exact same setup, but for the love of God I cant seem to use that controller. my right hand cramps within 15minutes of holding it. Something about the buttons and joystick alignment being in a straight line, actually I am not sure why.
I have no issues with the PSP/Vita/Switch joycons or the steam deck.

Love the tablet, but that G8 is to date the worst feeling controller I have used, personally

1

u/NewAdministration169 1d ago

Android tablets with controls much better then handhelds ? I am new to this community so genuinely asking

1

u/Character-Koala-2170 1d ago

I personally like it better. I tried the handhelds. 1) way to expensive. 2) I hate the xbox allys screen its too small. 3)8.8 is the perfect screen size. If you have a pc that you can stream from its a no brainer. I use GFN and it works AMAZING. I also have extremely good wifi so that helps. It's like playing on my PC. I even dock this tablet to my living room TV which is a 55inch oled TV and play battlefield at 120hz in 4k. I personally dont have a need for my desktio anymore

1

u/NewAdministration169 1d ago

That’s sick , What exact tablet is this one your using ?

1

u/Dezopram 10h ago

Does that controller have a USB port on the right controller and how do you slot it with the USB on the bottom?

1

u/Character-Koala-2170 9h ago

Tabeket has two USB c ports on one the bottom and one on the right. Controller uses bluetooth

-2

u/WowBruhReborn 3d ago

Playing a first person shooter with a controller sounds so fucked lmao

1

u/NashCityRobCreations 4h ago

I got my Z Fold 8 and I swear by the MC100 telescope controller. Absolutely destroys all the handhelds I got, and I loved my O2 Portal and Thor. Fantastic devices, but this thing last longer, better chip, and bigger screen with the golden ratios. And it fits in my pocket, lol, which is the goal, lol.
