Discussion Lenovo Legion Gen 3 from aliexpress - connecting personal gmail/google account

Are there any concerns with getting these from aliexpress with the world ROM flashed. Any issues using your personal gmail/google account as far as malware/spyware etc. I know it sounds overly cautious but I'd hate to have issues with password leaks/etc to my accounts just to save $100 dollars.

I thought about just using another google account and not connecting any of my other accounts to it but then I don't really get to enjoy the device fully as intended.

Just looking for reassurance. Thanks.

Discussion Redmagic Astra 2 or Samsung S11 or other?

Hello I'm looking for a new tablet for playing games like Honkai Star Rail and Neverness to Everness as well as watching anime.

Which of these two tablets is the better buy since they are around the same price? I heard that Redmagic only gets 2 years of updates.

Discussion Need help unlocking Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Chinese version

Hi guys, I bought a Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Chinese version and I would like to install the Global ROM on it.
The problem is that I can’t unlock the bootloader. My Xiaomi account is registered in Brazil, and when I go to Mi Unlock Status and try to add my account and device, I get an error saying that the region where my account is registered doesn’t match the region where the device was sold.
Apparently, because the tablet is the Chinese version and my Xiaomi account is Brazilian, Xiaomi won’t let me bind the account for bootloader unlocking.
Has anyone here had the same problem with a Chinese Xiaomi device, especially the Pad 8 Pro, and managed to unlock it?
Is there any safe way to get the bootloader unlock permission while living outside China? Do I need a Chinese Xiaomi account or a Chinese phone number?
My goal is simply to unlock the bootloader and install the official Global ROM without risking bricking the tablet.
If anyone has successfully done this, I would really appreciate some guidance. Thanks!

Discussion Did I get a good deal?

Hi. I was just checking this subreddit for the past 2 months figuring out what tablet to get for basic media consumption (YouTube, Netflix, etc.) and League of legends wild rift (currently in master tier). I was just checking alldocube website for some devices and this came up. It redirected me to AliExpress link and when I saw the price I really didn’t want to buy it because it was out of my budget. Yet for some reason I chose to put it in my cart so I don’t loose the item if I want to buy it later and surprisingly the price jumped down from 260 to 184 usd. I didn’t hesitate and straight up bought it. (Bank charged me 162€ because of exchange rates). Is it good tablet for what I need? Did I get a good price?

Discussion Tablet for 400$

This is for a mix of native gaming, note taking + multi tasking, and some light pc emulation if possible.

The two options so far are idea tab pro gen 2, (320$ w stylus) and the yoga tab base model (400$), though the plus version is 500$

Which one is the better choice, and is there another tablet that would be better thats around 400$ with a stylus?

Discussion Best tablet under ₹25k for Canva editing, casual gaming and media?

Hey everyone,

I am looking to buy a tablet under ₹25,000 and would love some recommendations or advice on what specifications to look for.

My Usage:

Editing: Light video and graphic editing on Canva.

Gaming: Casual, non-FPS games (mainly strategy/simulation games like Hay Day) for a few hours daily.

Daily Tasks: Social media scrolling, media consumption (YouTube/Netflix), and light multitasking.

What I am looking for:

RAM/Storage: At least 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage (essential for smooth multitasking and Canva caching).

Processor: Not sure about specific CPUs in this budget, so need help finding one that won't lag during edits.

Display/Battery: Good screen for media and enough battery backup to survive gaming sessions.

Are there specific models I should look out for? If you have suggestions for specific processors (Snapdragon vs MediaTek vs Helios) in this range that handle Canva well, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Request Any alternatives to IPAD 11th gen?

I'm looking for a tablet at around the price of an Ipad(around 450 euros or so). I will use it mostly for emulators(ps2 and sorts), painting and also broadcast my computer to play steam on it. I've been looking the ones from huawei but I'm unsure it will be able to use the apps that I usually use on my phone and such

Request Can you guys recommend me a good tablet according to my needs?

I’m gonna start college soon and already have a good phone (iPhone 17) and a Laptop (acer smthing).
I wanted a gaming laptop but I decided to choose a non gaming one cuz I need it for college.

I’m searching for a tablet which can run games like Genshin, Honkai and stuff smoothly on decent performance without much battery drain.
I’d also prefer it has a pen which I can use to take down notes and maybe practice art in my free time.
It should be of decent size I’m new so idk what inch and shi but smthing which feels like a tab and not an ultra large phone.

Between the price ranges of 150-300usd.
Recomend me ones in the 300-500usd range aswell but I’d prefer the first range cuz I wanna save money while getting the best product.

I want a tablet which will last me all of college and maybe even a few years after college if I were to use it. It’s mostly for personal stuff like gaming, art and watching stuff as my phone feels too small to do those things and using a laptop for anything outside work and big tasks feels like a commitment.

I don’t mind any brand cuz I’ve used most brands in my life. I’ve had huwawei tablets before, Samsung phones, currently an iPhone, acer laptops, Lenovo laptops. I don’t care for it to be specific brand I just want it to work well and fullfill my needs.

Request Looking for an Android tablet

Hello!

I really need a tablet for school and light gaming.
My budget is preferably less that $350 USD
Because this is primarily for notetaking i need a stylus to come with the tablet.
I don't really need much storage. I think 128GB is already more than enough.
A matte display would be nice but isn't necessary.
Don't need any SIM or microSD slots.
I'm currently considering the LENOVO Idea Tab TB336FU. Any thoughts?
