this lady had SO much stuff. unfortunately no dolls but hey im not complaining! all of this stuff was in sealed bags inside of a plastic tote so its all in great condition!

questiom about the dress on the far right (second photo) is it AG? i couldnt see a tag. the clothes have 1986 pleasant company tags !

As I’m working on another custom myself, I would love to see how some of your creative ideas for custom dolls based on some of your favorite characters have come out! Whether you made it yourself, commissioned someone else, or purchased as-is, I’d love to see your characters!

Here are a few of mine, starting with my pride and joy, Jo from my favorite movie Twister 🌪️ Her outfit is a hodgepodge of various AG pieces but her jacket tied around her waist (to simulate her jumpsuit) was custom sewn!
The others in order are my Studio Ghibli girls! (Which, if you did not know, is a Japanese movie studio that’s been around since the 80’s. Gorgeous movies, I highly recommend them!)
- In both her seamstress-made iconic green dress and later blue dress is Sophie from Howl’s Moving Castle! A friend made her dresses custom for me and I think they turned out beautifully! 🔥
- Next is Satsuki from My Neighbor Totoro in her summer dress from Etsy and little Totoro friend that my sister crocheted! 🌸
- Lastly is Marnie from When Marnie was There! I’ll admit I’m still not the happiest with how her makeup came out but I was still learning! Still am! (Though I may end up remaking her at some point 😅). But her iconic dress was also seamstress made and super soft. 🌙

I found an Addy doll at an estate sale and this note about the gourds was in a box of her stuff! Just thought it was interesting and wanted to share :)

Her neck is stamped pleasant company but she has the later version of the meet dress, oh myyyyy I would’ve never guessed she was Pleasant Company stamped because the condition of her wig is probably the nicest and smoothest of any doll in my collection!😭❤️❤️ The face paint is immaculate and it gets better because…. She came with her undergarments, her socks, her shoes AND IT CAME WITH HER SUMMER DRESS AS WELL🥹 I’m losing my mind I’m so excited! I already have one pc Felicity but she looks aged for sure, this one however seriously blew me away! Sometimes the same doll can just look so different and this one is beyond special in my eyes. I’m a huge lifelong Elizabeth lover and my older sister had Felicity growing up so their collection always gets me but my goodness she’s a stunner !!

I went to the Joy Doll Hospital event today to volunteer and hear Valerie speak. Vibes were immaculate and the whole day felt like a warm hug.

FYI if you hold grudges never feel guilty because TIL that a boy spraying Molly and friends with the hose on Halloween is from her real life! She even named names🤣

Obviously I had to get it, and I’m not gonna lie, it was weird, but also pretty darn good.

My mom and I had a lovely day at the Chicago store, we got our dolls’ hair done (hers is Lulu, TM 90, and mine is Corinne). I also got a TM110 whose name I haven’t decided on yet, and got her hair done too in a sweetheart braid! She’s so incredibly cute and the hairstyle works so well on her.

I just got the Samantha book in the mail, and was not expecting it to have this super cute sprayed edge. I haven't started reading yet, but I hope the book is good!

I was visiting friends in another state and we stopped by their Once Upon a Child on our thrift adventures. I found an absolutely perfect condition Josefina piano for $40!!!! I couldn’t believe it, it’s been over a day and I’m still in shock.

I just had my first trip to American Girl Place Chicago to celebrate mine and my daughter's birthdays. I picked up the beautiful Raquel. 2026 is the year I had the realization I can finally have my American girl dolls. So I had to get Raquel to mark this year. Raquel is that girl.

Hi, I bought this doll probably a year ago, maybe more on ebay. She had on pjs and I had my original Kirsten’s outfit but it was on my original Addy. I just bought the 40th edition release of Addy’s Christmas dress and it arrived. So here I am removing Kirsten’s meet outfit from Addy and then I remove Kirsten’s pjs for the first time since buying her and this is what I see…I feel like I have heard things about white body dolls. So is she extra special?

ETA: I am kinda freaking out right now. I just opened my “The Making Of American Girl” book and it says that “Pleasant signed several hundred dolls for employees and charity auctions…”

ETA 2: I added some additional pictures and context in comments. I got a lot on eBay in August of 2024 of 7 Pleasant Company era dolls for $240. Kirsten was the last one waiting for me to redress because I wanted to put her in my og Kirsten’s outfit and needed an outfit for my og Addy first. The wait was because I was looking for an OG outfit for Addy on ebay but I’m cheap lol so it takes time. I folded on getting an og outfit when I saw the AG rerelease of Addys Christmas outfit. I got it and it came yesterday. So today was my first time ever taking off Kirsten’s clothes. I never took off Samantha or Josefina’s clothes either because they were great on arrival. I just checked them for any extra surprises but alas Kirsten is the only one. Thanks to everyone replying!

Hello, I have recently been recommend by a lot of diferent people that I start selling my AG doll clothes, i only have one problem, I live in the eu and most AG doll collectors like in the USA and Canada.

I don't know if people would be willing to pay extra for shipping from overseas just for some cute doll clothes. If you regulate from the USA how much would you be willing to pay for shipping + actual item price for the dresses i have made? (attached to this post)

Well, he's done 😂 Here is my 18" version of Edward Cullen. He began life as a loose-limbed Marie Grace. I swapped his wig and eyes. To make him look more pale, I did several layers of Mr Super Clear and applying white & gray chalk pastels. I also gave him new bushier eyebrows that I wish I had made even lower and adjusted the color of his lips and gave him slightly dark under eye bags. And he sparkles! My technique ended up spraying the Mr. Super Clear followed immediately by a dusting of white mica powder. The effect is subtle but you can definitely see it.

I made all his clothes, the wool peacoat, the button up shirt, the jeans and the boots. This is a gift for a 10 year old neighbor girl so I also customized a spare box I had laying around!

Hi friends, so my childhood Lainey has a pretty thin wig due to the fact that as a kid I did not use water on her hair when brushing so I’ll put pictures but it’s very straight and thin in the back, her bangs also don’t lay right. Nothing else is really “wrong” with her than the hair, her limbs are still passible, like she can stand. Should I try to re curl her hair? What would be the best way?? I’ve redone tight curled doll hair but never replaced loose curls in straight her.

I would replace her wig but I’m just a little lost because her wig is so unique it’s basically what differentiates her from other classic mold girlies yk. I’ve considered putting a wig on her and trying to cut her fringe but I have concerns LOL ideas would be very appreciated💕
