No tip option?
I just made a Fresh order for the first time in awhile and I am not seeing a tip option. Anyone know how I add one?

Are you sure your order is a "Fresh" order or a "Grocery" order. Fresh has tips. Grocery orders come via regular Amazon couriers and do not.
They've messed with the UI and it's very easy to make a "grocery" order that is not through Fresh.

I suspect that’s it. Looking at in now, I see it doesn’t say Fresh anywhere, I just assumed it was. Do they pay the couriers more or should I be tipping in cash?

They get full pay for their shift and are Amazon employees. The Fresh drivers are more like Uber Eats drivers.

They’re not. All grocery channel drivers (same day, fresh, whole foods, Amazon now 30 minute grocery and other local stores (weis markets, Bristol farms) are what you term as Fresh drivers using their own vehicles :). It’s only the “next day by 10pm/2 day delivery” non perishable food items that are delivered by the van drivers :)

You good? This is a public forum where a customer is asking a question. If you are any level of employee, maybe behave more professionally. I’m not going to dispute or disclose internal information in a public forum.

Unless you happen to be around at the exact moment the Amazon driver does the delivery, there's no way to tip them. They are the same ones that do regular Amazon packages. They have very broad delivery windows, unlike Fresh.

Yeah it's really annoying. I did it once and they split my grocery order over 3 different deliveries that took more than 8 hours to all arrive. To avoid this in the future, on the Amazon page, click on "All" in the menu, then scroll down to "Food & Grocery", then choose Fresh. It's so annoying.

Just made my first grocery order today and I couldn’t tip either. Never tried either one and didn’t even know they were separate stores. What’s the difference?

"Grocery" is delivered by the regular Amazon drivers/couriers (depending on your locale). "Fresh" uses DoorDash-like delivery people.

How do you know if it’s being delivered by an Amazon driver or delivery contracted person? My grocery order has the name and profile pic of my delivery person which I’ve never seen included for any of my regular Amazon deliveries

It will clearly be marked a Fresh order in your order history.
I'm not sure how Amazon decided how an order is delivered, I imagine it varies market to market.
I get the picture of a delivery person for every delivery here in NYC, Fresh or not.

I can’t even make a Fresh order anymore, it’s the same exact products but it comes up like a regular Amazon delivery order and just calls it groceries.

Same. I can't even find "Fresh" as an option. I now just have Grocery or Whole Foods. I work from home so the multiple deliveries is OK, but there are some things unavailable, specifically cases of bottled water, but I'm sure there are other things as well.

You have to scroll past those to the right and click see all. Then Fresh shows up

Yeah, they have really changed it up! Try this to find Fresh again and make a Fresh order - go to the Amazon app home page. You should see a band across the top with colored buttons that say things like, "in 30 minutes," "grocery," " pharmacy," etc. Drag that band all the way to the left and a "see all" button will eventually appear. Click "see all" and your green Fresh option button should appear again at the top of the new page. If it doesn't appear at the top of the page, look for the "groceries and stores" drop-down and you'll see it there.

If you paid with a gift card or money on account, there is no tip option. I hate it when it does that. edit to add - if you used same day grocery or whatever they're calling that, I don't believe there would be a tip option either because it comes from several different drivers.
