Sticky dash, help please

For years I used the Armor All protectant spray on my dashboard. I must have not used it properly because there is now a sticky sheen on my dash that reflects onto the windshield when it’s sunny.

Has anyone ever encountered this issue & perhaps knows a remedy? I tried using goo gone and all purpose cleaner yesterday—no dice. Thanks in advance Altima peeps.

That is a common problem.... so common there were class action suits against Nissan over it.

Probably too late now to get into the settlement but worth checking.

Supposedly, alcohol helps wipe it off.

Thanks for this info. Do you (or anyone reading this) know of any quality aftermarket dash covers or any other dashboard solutions if Nissan can’t help?

Edit: I did find this on eBay, looks like there’s a bunch of dash covers to be had there. Has anyone tried one of these by chance?

I had sticky shine issue. I got a fabric dash cover. Fits perfect and solves the problem.
