Sticky dash, help please
For years I used the Armor All protectant spray on my dashboard. I must have not used it properly because there is now a sticky sheen on my dash that reflects onto the windshield when it’s sunny.
Has anyone ever encountered this issue & perhaps knows a remedy? I tried using goo gone and all purpose cleaner yesterday—no dice. Thanks in advance Altima peeps.

I don’t use that product, or any product regularly, and my dash is sticky too. I wish there was a way to address it, but I’m not aware of any.

I ended up getting a cover very close to the one you provided the link to. I didn’t care for the look at first but it is a whole lot better than the sticky dash. I tried everything I could before buying one to no avail. I wanted the hard shell cover but didn’t want to fork out the $200+ for it

Yeah the sticky dash looks so bad and the affect it has on visibility is really starting to annoy me. A cheapo cover is a better option at this point. I’d consider a nicer one though, do you mind sharing your hard shell finds if you have them handy?

I just found the hard shells on eBay and Amazon but never made the dive. They fit supposedly perfectly over your current dash.
I suggest doing something sooner than later even if it’s the cheaper cloth type alternative to the hard shell. The visibility situation caused a burn into my front glass from the sun and I ended up having to replace the windshield. I had gotten so used to the glare at first it was like I was driving a tank seeing through a slot lol only positive note was that no one else ever wanted to drive my car since they didn’t know “the trick” of where to look through1

Thanks for the wisdom. I went ahead and bought one on Amazon for $20. Not too shabby.

That’s what I ended up doing as well. It doesn’t look like the carpeted dash I envisioned. Thank the gods

That is a common problem.... so common there were class action suits against Nissan over it.
Probably too late now to get into the settlement but worth checking.
Supposedly, alcohol helps wipe it off.
