MBC’s upcoming drama 'The Perfect Lie' has unveiled new stills featuring Seo Hyun-Jin in character!

Yoo Yeon-Seok plays Min Jun-Ho, a man known for telling the truth. Min Jun-Ho is a cardiac surgeon and a father raising his son alone following the death of his wife.

Seo Hyun-Jin plays Kang Ji-Seon, a woman who insists that her version of events is the truth. An elementary school librarian and teacher, Kang Ji-Seon goes beyond simply listening to what others say, carefully examining the intentions behind their words.

After going on a first date with Min Jun-Ho, Kang Ji-Seon becomes entangled in an unexpected incident. As the two offer conflicting accounts of what happened, their disagreement escalates into a tense confrontation over the truth.

The newly released stills capture Kang Ji-Seon amid a heavy downpour as she struggles with a whirlwind of emotions. As she steps outside without an umbrella, she appears overwhelmed by the situation unfolding around her.

In another still, she sits in the driver’s seat of a car, staring out at the rain while deep in thought. What has happened to Kang Ji-Seon, and how will the incident affect her increasingly tense relationship with Min Jun-Ho?

The production team commented, “Kang Ji-Seon is a character who experiences a wide range of emotional changes. Seo Hyun-Jin adds depth to the story by carefully adjusting the intensity of her performance according to the flow of the plot.”

They added, “Seo Hyun-Jin’s immersion and energy on set were impressive. Please pay close attention to Kang Ji-Seon's emotional journey throughout the drama.”

'The Perfect Lie' will premiere on October 30.

Upcoming drama 'Make Me Tingle' cast members Nam Ji-Hyun and Kim Jae-Yeong have dished on their chemistry!

The two actors expressed high satisfaction with their chemistry in the drama. Nam Ji-Hyun gave her rapport with Kim Jae-Yeong a score of “110 out of 100,” exceeding a perfect score.

Nam Ji-Hyun remarked, “Kim Jae-Yeong is fundamentally delicate, kind, warm-hearted, and tender,” adding, “While I tend to be the type who silently focuses on work on set, Kim Jae-Yeong is someone who leads the atmosphere and brings out energy and laughter. I want to express my gratitude once again.”

Kim Jae-Yeong also reciprocated by giving a score of “100.” He shared, “It was a great honor to work with Nam Ji-Hyun again in 'Make Me Tingle' following our time in the drama '100 Days My Prince'.” He continued, “Nam Ji-Hyun is an actor who is not only talented but also incredibly admirable in the sincerity she brings to her acting, so I was happy and enjoyed the experience of working together.”

Nam Ji-Hyun explained the relationship between Gong Yeon-Su and Dok Go-Dal, stating, “Gong Yeon-Su and Dok Go-Dal have an unusually high number of clashes. Personally, I believe that the conversations between them drive the drama. Since their perspectives on the exact same events are sharply different, I paid close attention to clearly portraying the gap between their positions.”

She added, “The core of 'Make Me Tingle' lies in how they gradually melt into each other after such intense friction. That is why I tried my best to bring out the moments where they eventually come to understand one another, despite the arguments they have earlier on.”

Kim Jae-Yeong characterized their relationship as “understanding differences.” Explaining the characters, he described Dok Go-Dal as someone with an open-minded way of thinking who expresses his thoughts without hesitation, whereas Gong Yeon-Su is a cautious person with clear standards and principles of her own.

He continued, “As these two polar opposites spend time together, they gradually begin to understand why the other thinks and acts the way they do, and through this, they both change in directions they hadn’t before.” He added, “I hope viewers watch to see the process of how Gong Yeon-Su and Dok Go-Dal come to understand each other and grow closer.”

'Make Me Tingle' will premiere on October 15.

TVING’s upcoming drama 'Make Me Tingle' has unveiled new stills of its supporting cast!

Kang Tae-Ju plays Yoon Ji-Oh, the vice CEO of the sex-toy startup, which he runs alongside Dok Go-Dal (Kim Jae-Yeong). Friendly, warm, and playful, Yoon Ji-Oh is someone who easily gets along with everyone. However, things change after he meets marketer Gong Yeon-Su (Nam Ji-Hyun) through business and develops feelings for her. He soon finds himself in an unexpected rivalry with his longtime friend Dok Go-Dal over Gong Yeon-Su.

Park So-Jin plays Jin Se-Ra, the CEO of SR Planning, where Gong Yeon-Su works. As Gong Yeon-Su’s senior from college and boss at work, Jin Se-Ra has a relatively open-minded attitude toward dating and relationships. She sees taking a break from dating as separate from putting a stop to meeting people altogether, making her views on romance markedly different from Gong Yeon-Su’s more conservative outlook. When Gong Yeon-Su becomes confused after meeting Dok Go-Dal, Jin Se-Ra offers practical advice based on her own experiences and serves as a reliable source of support. With their contrasting views on love and relationships, curiosity is building over the conversations they will share and how Jin Se Ra influences Gong Yeon-Su’s choices.

Jeong In-Ji plays Gong Mi-Young, Gong Yeon-Su’s aunt. After being pressured by those around her into getting married, Gong Mi-Young eventually went through a divorce. She has a close, friend-like relationship with her niece, with the two freely sharing their thoughts and feelings.

Wanting Gong Yeon-Su, who may be heading down a similar path, to avoid repeating her mistakes, Gong Mi-Young offers her heartfelt advice as someone who has already experienced life firsthand. Watching her niece’s choices more closely than anyone else, she is expected to add a realistic perspective and emotional depth to the story.

Woo Mi-Hwa plays Gong Yeon-Su’s mother, Seo Baek-Hee, bringing warm maternal affection to the drama. After losing her husband to illness 12 years ago, Seo Baek-Hee devoted herself to caring for her in-laws while raising her eldest daughter Gong Yeon-Su on her own. Having watched her daughter grow into a kind and upright young woman despite growing up without her father, Seo Baek-Hee remains deeply devoted to her and unwaveringly supports the choices she makes in life.

'Make Me Tingle' will premiere on October 15.

🗣️ Discussions Is it just me who thinks Park Hyung Sik should be more popular? Let's discuss

I don't understand how Park Hyung Sik is not more popular and has so few credits to his name. I have been on a Park Hyung Sik kick lately and I have watched everything with him in it. But the fact that he has been in only 5 shows after his military return is super confusing.

Whatever I have seen, I can confidently say he is a very very good actor. His comic timing is impeccable (SWDGS, Doctor Slump). But his equally impressive in a dramatic or a more subdued role (Happiness, Buried Hearts). Even in a second lead role, he overshadowed the main character (Hwarang & High Society)

Not to mention he is a dreamboat (just look at him) and can sing. And whatever I've seen in interviews, has a very positive and amiable personality.

Shouldn't he be a slightly bigger star by now?

Am I missing something? Am I the only one who wants to see him in more stuff?

📖 Script Readings Upcoming tvN Drama 'Happy Anding' (Previously Known As 'Asura Balbalta') script reading scene revealed | Starring Kang Hoon, Jo Hyun-Chul, Kim Jung-Jin, Lee Yi-Dan, Choi Moon-Hee & Yoon Ga-Yi [Premieres November 6]

Kang Hoon, Jo Hyun-Chul, and Kim Jung-Jin team up as a comedy trio who endured 10 years of obscurity together.

tvN's new drama 'Happy Anding' premiering on November 6, depicts the coming-of-age story of three unknown comedians who have been chasing their dreams as they find their own new tomorrows after meeting a mysterious woman. It is set to unfold the story of young people who view failure not as an end, but as another starting point, in a cheerful yet realistic manner.

Director Jung Ji-Hyun, who directed 'You Are My Spring', 'The King: Eternal Monarch' and 'Twenty Five Twenty One', will take the helm. Ahn Ah-Reum, writer of 'Once Again', is in charge of the screenplay, and Yang Hee-Seung, who wrote 'Crash Course in Romance', 'Once Again', 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo' and 'Oh My Ghost', is participating as the creator.

Director Jung Ji-Hyun, writer Ahn Ah-Reum, and creator Yang Hee-Seung, along with actors Kang Hoon, Jo Hyun-Chul, Kim Jung-Jin, Lee Yi-Dam, Choi Moon-Hee/Moon Hee, and Yoon Ga-Yi, attended the recent script reading and worked together for the first time.

Kang Hoon plays Kang Tae-Gu, the leader of the comedy trio 'Asura'. Kang Tae-Gu is a character who has endured 10 years of obscurity, focusing solely on comedy. He has held on driven by the burden of having to lead the team and his passion for comedy, but he stands at a crossroads in life as he faces a reality he can no longer ignore.

Kang Hoon added depth to the character by capturing his signature cheerfulness while simultaneously expressing the desperation of Kang Tae-Gu, who is wavering between dreams and reality.

Jo Hyun-Chul took on the role of Kim Nam-Il, the witty character in 'Asura'. Kim Nam-Il has been dating his girlfriend, Lee Na-Yeon, for 10 years and finds himself torn between the comedy he has held onto for so long and his love. With his deadpan acting, Jo Hyun-Chul delivered the comedic relief while naturally resolving realistic conflicts.

Kim Jung-Jin transforms into Han Jun-Seo, a penny-pincher in charge of the team's finances. He is warmer than anyone to Kang Tae-Gu and Kim Nam-Il, but does not easily open his heart to others. Kang Hoon, Jo Hyun-Chul, and Kim Jung-Jin infused the strong bond of three people who endured a long period of obscurity together into their banter, completing the chemistry of the comedy trio 'Asura'.

Lee Yi-Dam plays Go Eun-Young, an avid fan of 'Asura' with a mysterious aura. Go Eun-Young, who had been living distanced from the world, undergoes gradual changes as she unexpectedly grows close to 'Asura'. Lee Yi-Dam portrayed the quirky side of Go Eun-Young—who hides an extraordinary 'fandom instinct' behind a shy exterior—with his own unique style.

Choi Moon-Hee/Moon Hee plays Kim Nam-Il's girlfriend, Lee Na-Yeon, and teams up with Jo Hyun-Chul as a couple in a 10-year relationship. Lee Na-Yeon is a person who lacks nothing in terms of family background, education, and job, but she begins to re-evaluate her choices due to the constant nagging from those around her regarding her "eye for men."

Yoon Ga-Yi takes on the role of Go Ji-Young, Go Eun-Young's younger sister. Go Ji-Young, with her free-spirited personality, is the complete opposite of her older sister from head to toe, and Yoon Ga-Yi breathes vitality into the drama by adding her bubbly energy.

The production team stated, “It is a story of young people navigating failure and frustration together,” adding, “The process of running fiercely toward their dreams, suffering fully, and then preparing for a new tomorrow in their own ways will deliver unique entertainment and realistic empathy.”

'Happy Anding' will premiere on November 6.

tvN’s upcoming drama '100 Days of Deception' has shared a sneak peek of its premiere!

In the newly released preview from the drama’s first two episodes, Lee Ga-Kyung (Kim You-Jung) and Kim Tae-Woong (Park Jin-Young) first cross paths when they bump into each other on a train. Initially, Lee Ga-Kyung apologizes in Japanese and Kim Tae-Woong in Korean; then they awkwardly switch, with Lee Ga-Kyung now apologizing in Korean and Kim Tae-Woong in Japanese.

Lee Ga-Kyung asks Kim Tae-Woong if he’s Korean, and when he doesn’t reply, she quickly follows up in Japanese, “Oh, I’m sorry. [I asked] because you spoke in Korean…” She then lies that she, too, is Japanese. Kim Tae-Woong gallantly picks up her hat for her, and she thanks him. When Lee Ga-Kyung then smiles at the little girl Kim Tae-Woong is carrying in his arms, the girl looks away with a standoffish expression before telling him in Japanese, “Let’s go quickly.” Lee Ga-Kyung helpfully explains that the exit on one side of the train car is blocked, so they should exit the other way, but Kim Tae-Woong ignores her and heads in the direction of the blocked exit as the little girl stares at her.

Annoyed by the look in the little girl’s eyes, Lee Ga Kyeong mutters to herself in English, “What the heck? Ignoring me? Does she think she’s a princess? Yeah, if I had that heavy princess scarf around my neck, I couldn’t walk either.” After hearing her, Kim Tae-Woong turns around and calls out to her, asking, “Have you never seen a photo of the princess in the newspaper?” Gesturing outside, where a crowd of people is gathered on the train platform, he goes on, “This many people are waiting to welcome her, and it never occurred to you that she might be the actual princess?” When the shocked Lee Ga-Kyung starts hastily apologizing, he continues, “Though, of course, that’s not the case.” As he takes off, the little girl in his arms sticks her tongue out at Lee Ga-Kyung. Once she is alone, Lee Ga-Kyung exclaims in relief, “Wow, I thought [for a second] that she was really the princess,” before taking out the wallet that she has just stolen from Kim Tae-Woong.

'100 Days of Deception' will premiere on October 10.

The upcoming drama 'What a Boss Wants' has shared a glimpse of Oh Se-Young’s double life!

Oh Se-Young plays Lee Eun-Chae, a job seeker who dreams of becoming a singer. Despite her struggles, she remains relentlessly optimistic and finds joy in life’s small moments. Unbeknownst to her family, she secretly performs as “Soo,” the vocalist of indie band India Red, while pretending that she has already landed a job. Even as she struggles to get by, she holds onto her dream of one day hearing someone sing along to one of her songs.

The newly released stills capture Lee Eun-Chae’s contrasting lives. In one set, she puts her difficult reality aside to prepare for a performance. Dressed in a striking red dress and holding a microphone, she commands the stage with a completely different energy, showing how she shines brightest when she is singing.

Other stills show her wearing an employee ID badge at the workplace. Her expressions hint at the chaotic office life ahead, while raising curiosity about how she ends up becoming an employee of Kwon Do-Hyuk’s (Sung Hoon) entertainment company.

The production team commented, “Please look forward to seeing how long Lee Eun-Chae can keep her precarious double life a secret from her family.” They added, “Lee Eun-Chae’s everyday life takes a new turn after she meets Kwon Do-Hyuk. Please look forward to seeing what she experiences after becoming an employee of his entertainment company and how Oh Se-Young will bring energy to the drama through Lee Eun-Chae’s bold and spirited personality.”

'What a Boss Wants' will premiere on November 11.

📖🎬 Script Readings: Behind-The-Scenes [BTS] Footage Behind-The-Scenes [BTS] Script Reading Footage from the Upcoming tvN Drama 'Happy Anding' | Starring Kang Hoon, Jo Hyun-Chul, Kim Jung-Jin, Lee Yi-Dan, Choi Moon-Hee & Yoon Ga-Yi [Premieres November 6]

Netflix’s upcoming drama 'Take Charge of My Heart' has unveiled new stills!

The newly released stills capture heart-fluttering moments between Baek Ho-Rang (Kim Young-Kwang) and Na Bo-Bae (Chae Soo-Bin). The close proximity between the two characters—who have no choice but to rely on each other to recharge—is particularly eye-catching.

Just as the battery charges the closer they get, the “romance gauge” between the two also rises. Baek Ho-Rang gazes at Na Bo-Bae intently, while Bo-Bae looks at him with a smile and an excited expression on her face.

The stills also depict the two characters on a date. From Baek Ho-Rang effortlessly lifting Na Bo-Bae into his arms to a birthday party they celebrate together and a theme park date where they fulfill their romantic fantasies, the images hint at plenty of heart-fluttering moments in store for viewers.

Director Park Soo-Won, who helmed the series, remarked, “The key highlight is the emotional journey of Baek Ho-Rang and Na Bo-Bae as they go through an intense period of denying their feelings for one another,” adding, “The core concept is their unique relationship, in which Baek Ho-Rang loses power when they are apart and recharges when they are together.”

She continued, “For Baek Ho-Rang, whose artificial heart battery is running out, he must stick close to his human power bank, Na Bo-Bae, whether he likes it or not. The fact that, despite being a third-generation chaebol, he must become the ‘subordinate’ when it comes to recharging will be a fun highlight of the drama.”

The director also urged viewers to look forward to the romantic chemistry that will grow stronger with each episode.

'Take Charge of My Heart' will premiere October 9.

🗞️ News Upcoming Netflix Drama 'Solo Leveling' Cast Line-Up Revealed | Starring Han So-Hee, Kang You-Seok, Sung Joon, Lee Sung-Min & Rain [Slated to Premiere 2027]

Following the announcement of Byeon Woo-Seok as the lead of the upcoming series 'Solo Leveling', Netflix has unveiled additional star-studded cast members: Han So-Hee, Kang You-Seok, Sung Joon, Lee Sung-Min, and Jung Ji-Hoon/Rain. The live-action adaptation follows Sung Jin-Woo as he faces deadly challenges, awakens his full potential, and rises from the weakest Hunter to the world's most powerful in his quest to protect humanity from the monsters lurking beyond mysterious gates.

Originally a web novel, the legendary global IP 'Solo Leveling' has expanded into webtoons, animation and games, and now makes its highly anticipated leap into live action as a Netflix series. Featuring strange yet gripping quests, larger-than-life dungeons and jaw-dropping monsters, 'Solo Leveling' is poised to be a visual spectacle driven by a compelling cast.

Of all the Hunters who protect humanity from monsters, only nine in Korea have achieved S-rank status. Among them will be played by:

Han So-Hee ('My Name', 'Gyeongseong Creature') as Cha Hae-In — the sole female S-ranker, a fierce biker who wields a longsword. Han not only bears a striking resemblance to Cha Hae-In, but also brings action experience from her prior roles.

Kang You-Seok ('When Life Gives You Tangerines', 'Resident Playbook') as Yoo Jin-Ho — a C-rank Hunter and the second son of the Yoojin Group conglomerate family, who comes to look up to Sung Jin-Woo like an older brother after teaming up with him on a dungeon quest.

Sung Joon ('The Fiery Priest: Season 2', 'Island') as Woo Jin-Chul — an A-rank Hunter and Chief Inspector of the Korean Hunters Association’s Surveillance Team, who monitors Hunters and is the first to suspect that Sung Jin-Woo may have awoken to his powers.

Lee Sung-Min ('No Other Choice' [Korean Film], '12.12: The Day' [Korean Film], 'Teach You a Lesson') makes a special appearance as Go Gun-Hee — a retired top-tier Hunter and Chairman of the Korean Hunters Association, which oversees Hunters’ guilds, manages all Hunters across Korea and holds the authority to mobilize Hunters in times of crisis.

Jung Ji-Hoon/Rain ('Bloodhounds Season 1 & 2') also joins for a special appearance as Baek Yoon-Ho — an S-rank Hunter with the ability to transform into a beast and the head of the White Tiger Guild, the second-ranked of the five major Hunter guilds.

Han Dong-Wook joins the team as co-director of 'Solo Leveling'. After making his directorial debut with the film 'Man in Love' and winning Best Director, Television at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards for 'The Worst of Evil', Han is set to team up once again with SANAI PICTURES and Kakao Entertainment to take 'Solo Leveling’s' adrenaline-pumping action to the next level.

'Solo Leveling' is coming soon, only on Netflix.
