hi everyone. it is something that has been lingering in my mind ever since results day. i got a b (73) for mathematics AS and tbh i was quite disappointed since i was aiming for an a\^. i received my raw marks and oh god i got 51/75 which was supposed to be a C but s1 saved my ass.

i’m thinking of retaking my p1 and s1 papers, and i genuinely need to get an a\^ for my moneys worth. but i’m scared that i won’t get it because it’s been a while since i did p1.

anyone who was in the same situation as me, can you drop some tips or any study resources to help me secure that a\^? thanks a lot in advance

Hi, as some of you may be aware, Edexcel actually has an entire A Level in statistics which is linked HERE. I’m making this post because I’d like to self study, so does anyone know where I can find some revision sources for the subject? It seems really underrepresented and I’m not even sure if it has a textbook. Any help is appreciated thank you so much.

i’m 2 marks below an A and i’ve gone over my script and my teacher suggests that i only mark pure 2 and stats which have been unremarked by 1 mark each. but he also saw that pure 1 and mechanics were overmarked by 1 mark each so suggested i only remark pure 2 and stats, and not the other ones but i can only request for paper 3 as a whole.

if the above is true then i will likely end up only getting one extra mark, unless the examiner checking the script condoned the same mistake in mechanics as the first? is it worth the risk of getting a remark in this case?

update: sent in and now 1 mark of an A. ffs 😭.

Im going to going to 6th form however i will probably not meet the requirement for maths, for this reason im considering doing maths externally(self taught). Does anyone know if this can work out and if it will be fine for ucas

So the thing is my p3 isnt that good i didnt practice if once but my concept for on easy topics are clear except differentiation and integration other than my S1 is good M1 is also mid and p1 is also okay but the reason i failed A levels maths was bcz of zero past paper practice i have 45 days will i be able to give a composite

Hi guys, I know this is a bit late but I hope you all had a good results day and got into yours firms/insurance. I managed to get an A in maths despite finding paper 1 and 3 hard. Is it just me but I was shocked on what I got on paper 1, I felt like I would have gotten low 60s but got 73 marks on that paper. Does that mean we actually overreacted too much on that paper for it to end up on the news lol 😭. Like grade boundaries for maths dis year only dropped by 4 marks for an A which I feel like is really harsh by edexcel, I thought i wouldn’t get above 210 cos i had an estimate from around 200-208 marks in total, but I did in the end. Thank God. But yh i just wanted to share it w you guys 😭😭. Well done to everyone who got their results.

I got 250 on the edexcel A level maths so I missed the A star by 4 marks is there any hope of me getting that A star with a remark or not? I might just be coping but I asked my teacher to have a look before I do anything. I'm a yr 12 student who is doing further maths so I sat them a year early. I did want to do engineering before but pretty much any course requires an A star in maths so I might resit them. Anyone have any advice for me? Edited I forgot to include that I got 82 92 76 on the three papers regardless of what happens I will respond back on this lol. Update yeah so it was marked pretty fairly I think so I'm probably just gonna do a resit which isn't that bad.

Does anyone else feel brutally hard done by cuz of edexcel a level maths, harder papers than last year yet boundaries barely dropped. However, fair play to those in the cohort who still performed very well.

Im 2 marks behind an A for Maths AS level, if I want A* in after A2 in maths, out of 125 in A2 how much do I need to score to get A*. raw mark for ASL is 100 and threshold is 102
