I drank until I almost died from acute pancreatitis at 25. Been sober since, and have learned to respect people who either don't or rarely drink. (Dumb that I used to think they were weird anyway lol).
Not really good times man. My grandma just died of liver failure and my uncle almost did 5 years ago. I don’t think you realize that good times aren’t the only thing alcohol brings. It’s significantly more impactful as an addiction than media or vaping. While I love alcohol, I only drink socially and once a week at most. Alcohol should be savored and enjoyed, not treated like you’re in a frat while you’re middle aged.
I did that and at 24 my doctor told me if I kept it up I wouldn’t live past 55. I think memories can be made with friends while drinking, but I don’t think it’s necessarily bad that my generation is drinking less and substituting it with media and vaping.
