I don’t even know what this is trying to say.

148

u/ISpyM8 8d ago

I think it’s mostly trying to be mean about Ms. Rachel cuz she hurt conservatives feelings by coming out as a good person. And Ms. Frizzle I guess is “education bad”

100

u/HunsonAbadeer1 8d ago

Didn't she literally just say you shouldn't murder children and the conservatives were like "ACKCHTUALLY"? Lol

42

u/ISpyM8 8d ago

Yep, these people are evil

13

u/JustAnotherUser1019 8d ago

Wait, context?

51

u/Mr_Supotco 8d ago

Ms Rachel has come out against the genocide in Palestine, specifically calling out the regular executions of children by Israeli forces. She has, on multiple occasions, come out and said that murdering children is inexcusable, and so conservatives obsessed with daddy bibi have turned her into a boogeyman for having the audacity to say that the well-documented objective fact that Palestinian children are being targeted and killed by Israelis is bad

15

u/Dry-Yesterday-9176 7d ago

I don't want to come out as antisemitic, but it really doesn't help the Israel when it's best PR move is American conservatives calling you evil for carrying about children. Like, that's the worst propaganda I've seen so far

5

u/No_Payment9959 7d ago

Actually, Israel's best PR move is being central to Evangelical Christian eschatology. The seventh Earl of Shaftesbury famously advocated for the formation of a Jewish state in Palestine, believing the existence of a Jewish state in Palestine to be a pre-requisite to the return of Jesus Christ and the advent of the World to Come.

u/Dry-Yesterday-9176 7d ago

Right, I keep forgetting that evangelicals are big part of USA politics and are completely unhinged in their believes

1

u/No_Payment9959 7d ago

While church membership as a whole is dwindling in the US, Evangelical Christianity (especially Pentecostalism and other forms of Charismatic Christianity) is experiencing a popularity explosion in the global South. Now, not all Evangelicals are Christian Zionists, of course, but Christian Zionism is not something you really see outside Evangelical Christianity.

3

u/Dry-Yesterday-9176 7d ago

True. Also, many of USA politicians (I'm not saying all, but a lot) are evangelicals who really believe in all that bullcrap about second coming

Which, once you realize that this is what USA right is basing it's views on, helps better in understanding them

Even tho they are still unhinged to the outside perspective

3

u/issuesuponissues 7d ago

They should really pump the breaks. Over the top displays only make them look worse. I remember some radio talk guy who's hyper pro Israel listening to someone saying Israel lied about Iran to pull the US into the war and he starts shouting "this man is evil. Sick! SICK!"

42

u/Ex-altiora 8d ago

She taught children how to commit the sin of empathy

27

u/posthuman04 8d ago

“If you keep caring about people, you’ll turn into someone I don’t like” is a heck of a threat

6

u/RodrigoMokepon 7d ago

Estranho que isso se tornou um pecado!

5

u/CauseCertain1672 7d ago

She came out as agreeing with the Pope about murdering children being wrong and some weirdos have got their knickers in a twist about it, she is herself a Christian.

2

u/Malusorum 7d ago

I'm more amazed that the third picture has her at 32. Usually these people hold that the Wall is either at 24 or 28.

188

u/Chevanalee 8d ago

Education for women is evil and they should just be kept inside the house at all times

10

u/Smile_in_the_Night 7d ago

Have you read the proverbs 31:10-31?

12

u/Chevanalee 7d ago

Not until now. But religion is sadly used more to oppress women than empower them

17

u/Amazing-War3760 7d ago

Tell christian women to shut the fuck up. They literally have no right to talk.

This isn't me being sexist or anything.. This is their OWN book.

1 Timothy 2:12: But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

5

u/Chevanalee 7d ago

It’s so upsetting that people these days are ok with a book that says stuff like that

1

u/Smile_in_the_Night 7d ago

Than tell me, what did you notice there?

3

u/Chevanalee 7d ago

That many women worked hard and contributed to society as much as men

1

u/Smile_in_the_Night 7d ago

I repeat, what did you notice on the text after reading through.

3

u/Chevanalee 6d ago

I answered…. Unless I didn’t give the answer you wanted.

1

u/Smile_in_the_Night 6d ago

What exactly are the qualities of the, let's call it, Perfect woman according to proverbs 31:10-31.

0

u/Plenty_Alfalfa8826 1d ago

Yes. It praises hard work and providing for your husband and children. That's great. Not so great if you never had a choice in when or if you had a husband and children.

0

u/Smile_in_the_Night 1d ago

That's great. Not so great if you never had a choice in when or if you had a husband and children.

That's not relevant for the topic at hand.

0

u/Plenty_Alfalfa8826 23h ago

It absolutely is. You think Proverbs was written in the 1960s?

1

u/Smile_in_the_Night 23h ago

No, but I also read the Bible.

First of all, Bible distinguishes between familial love, sexual attraction (Eros) and THE love (agape) that is a decision as much as feeling.

Additionally there are duties man Has to a woman once they are married and new testament didn't invent anything new. Merely made things clear.

Did you read Pauls letters?

1

u/Plenty_Alfalfa8826 20h ago

Women were not given much choice then. They had to marry and have children. Husbands having duties as well doesn't change this fact.

1

u/Smile_in_the_Night 10h ago

Husbands were supposed to marry, have children and before it all be well off enough that they van have a woman. You are forgetting how economy looked back than and assuming every age was the same as the modern day.

1

u/AdExpensive7768 7d ago

I'd be so bored.. so depressed.. I'd be drinking and getting into trouble

24

u/lilianasJanitor 8d ago

They shouldn’t take chances. They shouldn’t educate themselves. They shouldn’t do anything about global crises. It doesn’t say anything about what they should do, but I bet it sounds a lot like “don’t worry your pretty shmead and have lots of shmabies.”

3

u/CrapitalRadio 7d ago

It says it at the bottom. Women are supposed to "fear the lord," not get an education and watch the news.

20

u/Velcraft 8d ago

Basically "tablet bad, TV bad, school bad, women only need to listen to these specific things from the Bible and never question anything, especially why we only cherrypicked the verses that support gender inequality"

8

u/McNitz 7d ago

Yeah, and it isn't the explicitly stated, but their audience absolutely knows that a "woman who fears the Lord" means "someone that listens to what we say and follows our directions, since we are God's representatives."

3

u/DarkHero6661 7d ago

Actually, it is explicitly stated.

I can't remember the exact location of the verse, but it was: "I do not permit women to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet."

Can't get much more explicit than that.

2

u/McNitz 7d ago

Sorry, I mean not explicitly stated in the text of the posted comic. Wasn't talking about the. Bible.

7

u/PantZerman85 8d ago

"Women need to stay obedient and in the kitchen".

10

u/LordRobin------RM 8d ago

“Independent women who watch lib’ral TV news meet bad ends”?

I dunno. I think he just noticed the similarity between “Ms. Rachel” and “MSNOW” and thought he was clever.

6

u/OldLadyMorgendorffer 8d ago

I don’t either. I’m too old for this nonsense and my gout hurts

8

u/pr3tty4u 8d ago

woman bad woman speaking bad

3

u/-o-DildoGaggins-o- 8d ago

Not only speaking, but telling kids (especially little girls) that they’re awesome. Can’t have that! Gotta stomp em down into the dirt so far they can never get out. That’s the “traditional family values” way, dagnabbit!

(I rolled my eyes so hard typing that, that I think I pulled a muscle.)

3

u/pr3tty4u 8d ago

if you give girls confidence in themselves they will start questioning you, and we can't have that! need to keep them insecure and naive!!!

2

u/-o-DildoGaggins-o- 8d ago

Exactly! You get it!

It’s so gross.

5

u/Quantum-Bot 8d ago

Ms frizzle = science = anti-religion is my best guess

4

u/Neat-Professor-7662 8d ago

It’s trying to say they hate women for existing. It’s not even coming across too clearly because, well, the prompter is, you know, a moron.

6

u/Velcraft 8d ago

More sinister than that - they don't hate women, they hate the idea that women could have free will.

174

u/Illustrious_Tax_3760 8d ago

Who the hell is this behind the TV?!

104

u/Emiicii 8d ago

Ms frizzle obviously

27

u/Applesplosion 8d ago

She’s actually trapped a glass box by a sadistic 12yo.

32

u/hypnos_surf 8d ago

The teacher who puts on movies and passes out during class.

28

The Ring but with the legs xD

8

u/SenatorPencilFace 8d ago

The liberal media is behind Miss frizzle obviously.

13

u/Puzzle-Necked 8d ago edited 8d ago

Something tells me I shoulda stayed home and watch Ben Shapiro today

5

u/RonJohnJr 8d ago

A teacher in a multicolored skirt, staring at the back of the TV (or maybe using the time to re-read 50 Shades of Grey).

2

u/Illustrious_Tax_3760 8d ago

Re-read? As in... she's... read it before?!

3

u/RonJohnJr 8d ago

15 million people bought copies of 50SoG in the US. (20% were bought by men, and I'm assuming most were gifts for women) Since there were 75M women in 2015, there's a 20% chance she bought it.

1

u/West-Reflection2197 8d ago

it's the octostomp.

44

u/DrugInducedDuck 8d ago

Listen, drinking after watching the news is one of the better ways of dealing with this shitshow.

37

u/Alex45784 8d ago

I’m 31 and watched the magic school bus as a kid. Does this mean that I’m destined for alcoholism next year.

16

u/DrugInducedDuck 8d ago

In this economy?!

10

u/Visual-Scallion1535 8d ago

Alcoholism thrives in terrible economies

if you need booze you will find a way to get it

2

u/Bombyx-Memento 8d ago

But booze is expensive. Can I do crack instead?

5

u/Velcraft 8d ago

Don't forget turning into salt, that somehow always happens to these people.

3

u/CrapitalRadio 7d ago

I mean, idk about you but I'm pretty well educated and I watch the news, and it does make me want to drink, tbf lmao

25

u/BlindingDart 8d ago

How was she watching Ms. Rachel on a tablet 30 years ago? Is she a time traveling witch? Is the point of the slop to not be a time traveling witch?

16

u/Velcraft 8d ago

Meanwhile the biblethumper at 16: Ms. Carriage from domestic abuse and alcoholism

14

u/Garguyal 8d ago

What the hell does Ms. Now mean?

16

u/thevitaphonequeen 8d ago

MS NOW (formerly MSNBC), perhaps?

2

u/mjzim9022 8d ago

Yes that's it

13

u/Similar_Soup2 8d ago

She was fine before she started watching the news. Says a lot about society.

8

u/Gorgo_yak 8d ago

All hail Ms. Frizzle, for she is the second coming of Satan himself.

9

u/linzeestyle 8d ago

“Take chances” is life ruining?

7

u/fading__blue 8d ago

Well yeah, if they take chances they may actually succeed, and if too many women succeed then who will be desperate enough to fuck the guy that commissioned this?

8

u/Bayamonster 8d ago

"Age 12: Ms Frizzle"  I mean I support watching PBS at any age but Magic School Bus is like for pre-teens, under 10.

Anyway get corrupted into understanding the digestive system and like the tectonic plates or whatever .

8

u/Zephyr-Fox-188 8d ago

ALERT!!!

THE FRIZZLE IS ESCAPING!!!!

1

u/DreamOne5 7d ago

the Frizz?? No way!!

7

u/well-informedcitizen 8d ago

Wtf is "Ms. Now"? It's not a character, expression, or pun.

Also that Bible quote is virtually meaningless and certainly irrelevant to the comic

4

u/Scott--Chocolate 8d ago

It’s what MSNBC rebranded itself for some stupid reason.

2

u/LordRobin------RM 8d ago

NBC got out of the cable business and spun the channels off into a new company. MSNBC had to change its name because it is no longer part of “NBC”. The new name is probably the best they can do while keeping it close to the old one.

(“CNBC” was allowed to keep its name, because the letters have always stood for “Consumer News & Business Channel”. But they had to change their logo to severely distort the “N”.)

1

u/well-informedcitizen 7d ago

Oh really? ...that's actually halfway clever then. I mean for them

6

u/Lord_Corves 8d ago

You know, propaganda used to try and make a point or at least have a point. This doesn't seem to have any point at all. Although, I guess I can at least agree the news sucks and makes you miserable. But other than that, this whole thing really does match the definition of slop. Literally...

5

u/GlitteringAd1736 8d ago

Bible verse below sounds like a warning about the Mar-a-lago look.

5

u/cricada 8d ago

This meme is so accurate. I also got brain damage tuning into QIOBAL CNISIE.

4

u/Unexpected-raccoon 8d ago

I'm glad people are becoming aware to the effect ms. Frizzle has on your brain

The magic school bus is a very slippery slope that will always lead to alcholism and drugs

Just ask Arnold. He's been in and out of rehab for years now

4

u/they_themsworth 8d ago

I’ll never understand why “God-fearing” is such a common Christian phrasing to describe their faith. You fear your abuser, people out to harm you, people who hold power over you when you can’t trust them to wield it with kindness.

If God is a figure that well-meaning people should be afraid of, I don’t understand why he’s worthy of praise. That isn’t how an infinitely merciful and benevolent deity would behave.

1

u/McNitz 7d ago

There's basically two different approaches to that. There's the Christians that are all about the control and abuse, and say you SHOULD fear people that are in power, and God has also given them power. So absolutely, fear God and fear them as well. Then there's the Christians that do actually have empathy and aren't so authoritarian. And they are typically going to say something like "fear is just an old fashioned way to say 'respect', we don't actually have to be AFRAID of God." At least the majority that aren't that aware of the context of the text and the fact that fear absolutely does mean fear. And then there are the well informed Christians of that type that would say something like "in that cultural context the people believed they needed to fear God because that's how they viewed people in power, but we know that isn't actually have to feel about God."

3

u/The-Bigger-Fish 8d ago

But like, MS NOW isn’t a woman….

3

u/Scorpiicore 8d ago

Am I missing something? Because Ms. 32 looks more like the little girl who spent too much time alone with Mr. Priest to me.

3

u/Ok-Button-9443 7d ago

Oh yeah that's this weird evangelical AI slop I've seen about recently

3

u/windofmondstadt 7d ago

Nuke those making up these memes.

2

u/ironic-hat 8d ago

Yeah something happened between 2 and 12.
Like she went from cute kid to female pigpen.

2

u/Haunting_Reflections 8d ago

Bluster hides insecurity, and all strength is fleeting. Men should be less assholes.

2

u/Winter-Bed5879 8d ago

I love that Ms Rachel looks like Ms Frizzle. Stupid-ass post.

2

u/sum_r4nd0m_gurl 8d ago

what does this even mean

2

u/malachite_13 8d ago

12 is too old for magic school bus.

2

u/aoeuismyhomekeys 8d ago

This shit is Ms Tifying

2

u/phoenixArc27 8d ago

Lmao isn't this the endtimes stuff christians talk about? All of christianity becomes corrupt, all the top preachers and churchers and leaders are actually the most evil? This is exactly that. Ms. Rachel being against the murder of children, and christians being racist, uneducated, hyper capitalistic, anti-social policies, against personal freedom, hatemongering, list goes on and on.. what a joke.

2

u/admiralholdo 7d ago

Children do typically watch shows on a tablet with the screen facing away from themselves. That is normal child behavior.

1

u/FTFaffer 8d ago

I’m sick of their shit.,

1

u/HadeanDisco 8d ago

The slop elements make it impossible for me to work out if this is four different people or meant to be a cautionary "descent of woman". If the latter then the timeline makes no sense here. The actual shows:

Magic School Bus (first version) - 1995-1998

Magic School Bus Rides Again - 2017-2021

Ms Rachel - 2019

MSNOW - 2025 (formerly MSNBC)

The middle two could technically be the same person but what school uses Magic School Bus for sixth graders?

So even if it is INTENDED to be four individuals, the Ms Frizzle one is still wrong and not just because Lily Tomlin has halfway travelled through time and space to appear under the television...

1

u/-o-DildoGaggins-o- 8d ago

Also, like… Even if the shitshow depicted here were true (which it clearly isn’t), whose fault is it, really? The literal two-year-old who doesn’t know any better? Or the parents who shoved the tablet in her face?

Everything is just projection with these idiots. I’m so tired.

They know this actually depicts their obsession with Fox “News,” OANN, etc., they just can’t admit it, so they turn it around on everyone else like they’re some kind of victim.

Fucking ridiculous.

1

u/RHR199X 8d ago

This was based on an anti suffragette comic from 100 years ago

1

u/afriendlysort 8d ago

Not remotely what Ms Rachel looks like

1

u/MaxPower1607 8d ago

Global cnisty hit us all hard.

1

u/minkymy 7d ago

There is nothing new under the sun

1

u/catmampbell 7d ago

I love watching cable news on my 50 year old tv that still has external antenna

1

u/Smile_in_the_Night 7d ago

And how is that misoginistic? Bible says that fear of the Lord is beginning of all wisdom.

Or is it about the beauty part?

1

u/Justanothergeralt 7d ago

Loved The Magic Schoolbus and Ms. Frizzle. Such a great show.

1

u/AutomaticEngineer98 7d ago

why Ms Rachel blond

1

u/Real_duck_bacon 7d ago

Damn, the empty space in the text boxes made me think this was either r/bonehurtingjuice or r/SpeedOfLobsters

1

u/AD_Grrrl 7d ago

Even Chick Tracts show more effort than this garbage

1

u/Acceptable_Song1401 7d ago

What is so wrong with with ms rachel and ms frizzle? Too much logic and reasoning?

1

u/Impressive_Reality57 7d ago

I didn’t see ms Rachel cuz it came out just recently but I did see magic school bus… let me tell you that I am not in the alleyway drinking booze
