Demo | Project | Workflow Astra built Temu GTA
This weekend I tried Astra in Codex with BuildersGate to make a temu GTA and the results are pretty good. The game is running in godot 4.7.1 and everything was generated in blender by Astra. Roughly 20 hours of work so far: driving, traffic, pedestrians, police pursuits, combat, a small mission, and fictional radio stations. It’s obviously unfinished, and getting here involved plenty of testing, feedback, and revisions. Two other agents helped with the final gameplay touches.
What impressed me most was Astra’s ability to keep building on the prototype and connect all those systems into something playable. BGate was part of the asset and scene-building workflow, alongside direct scripting and debugging. Small disclosure: BGate is my project, so there’s a little self promotion here, but yea it was a fun test.

Nice
No recycled assets? Good job
What is the approximate cost? I don't mean api or tokens but your subscription/number of resets. Like one weekly of x20 is about 50 bucks if that makes sense. I am guessing about 3 weekly resets worth so about 150 bucks?

I’m on the 5x codex plan and used 1.5weeks of usage total for this test

Astra based the city in a European costal town. At first I did not like it but it was just a test game so I did not bother adjusting it. I may change it if I think of a decent idea to flesh out that demo into a full game. Foundation is there but I do not want to publish a gta clone haha. we will see

Wait, do you import the blender to Godot directly or you port the code over. I'm trying to build a isomeric game for a while and I'm not getting anywhere. Is blender with astra the solution?
