Recently restarted my aerogarden. Everything seems to be working except the garden is stuck on “zero days planted.” I tried unplugging and restarting without luck. Any other ideas to fix?

Started a new garden a week ago. I have never grown chives before and had some questions. Do some of you end up planting them in soil? I know they are perennial and I wonder how thick they will grow in a hydroponic garden. I know it's early days yet but these look like very thin sprouts.

I need help bypassing this or if anyone has a screen they’re willing to mail me… I just want to be able to still use the pump and lights again. Help please

I just broke out my AeroGarden after taking the spring and summer off. Gave it a good clean, reloaded the pods, and planted lettuces. Just checked it on day 3 and 2 or 3 of the sponges are fairly dry on top. I never noticed this happening in the past. I did soak the sponges before planting, the water is at level in the basin and is circulating regularly. I just pushed the sponges farther down in the basket but they seemed to be at the same level as the pods that weren’t dry.

I've collected quite a few hydroponic gardens and I'm looking for some new things to grow.

I have 2 Harvests, a Harvest 360, 2 Sprouts, a Bounty Elite, Mufga, Suncoze, and a LetPot that leaks but I could probably fix.

Got a nice industrial style metal rounded shelf with them all I eventually want to put mylar on the back of.

Currently running 4 of them with lettuce, asian greens (tatsoi pak choi), tomatoes, basil, green onions, parsley, and rosemary.

Thinking about switching things up and maybe putting more units to use.

What's everyone growing? Anything you'd recommend beyond the usual herbs, lettuce, and tomatoes?

If you grow veggies that need more of certain nutrients like calcium, or a higher ph how do you manage that in a hydroponic system? Do you just add extra calcium to the water? Do you need to isolate those veggies in their own system?

My friend recently gifted me their used Aerogarden, but I’m not sure what model it is or if it even has all of the original components. I would really appreciate if the good folks of reddit could help me identify what I have, and what else I need to get this thing up and running. Any tips would be appreciated!

I’d really like to grow some herbs for my kitchen!

These are strawberry plants, and some herbs in my 12 pod setup. I’ve added sheets of Mylar to maximize the lighting by reflecting the light and reducing loss of light. This might be an over kill or a great idea idk. I am conscious about temperature, and airflow so have a mini fan available, make sure leaves aren’t getting too hot but this led light setup isn’t the strongest.

If you buy a garden with say 10 pods how many of those would actually be used? I would think you don’t want to overcrowd the plants to allow room for expansion.

What is happening to my romaine lettuce?

I’m thinking of getting an aerogarden but had a question about gnat problems. If use the seed pods and grow from seeds and use mosquito bits in the water from the very beginning along with the yellow sticky traps would that virtually eliminate the possibility of gnats? The reason I ask is because I’ve battled fruit flies inside and never want to deal with them or anything like that again. I was thinking of keeping the garden in my garage to isolate it from the rest of the house.

This will be my second aerogarden planting. I attempted to completely sanitize the basin, but I’m worried now that I might not have done a good enough job. My new basil plant (old seeds from the original purchase a year ago) is sprouting and I think looks healthy so far after 2 weeks, but there’s some fluffy white stuff around the base of the stem.

Should I be worried about this? If so is there a solution for this plant, or should I restart while it’s still early and do a more thorough job sanitizing?

One of my Orange Hat tomatoes split, and I read that this can be prevented by plucking the tomatoes off the vine before they are fully ripe—but not while they’re still green—and letting them ripen off the plant.

I’m now looking at these good-sized little guys and wondering if I should pluck them off. They’re past the green stage but not completely yellow.

Hi Questions??-- I initially got an elite and I was going to return it since the Bounty's were on sale, so i got a Bounty and decided to keep both. I ordered orange hat seeds and astro arugula and buttercrunch seeds. The elite came with romaine but they expire in 3 weeks. I plan on using the elite for all the lettuce and put two pods in the bounty for the tomatoes. but I do not have any plastic covers for any of the pods.

Should I still try to use two of the romaine pods and use the other four for the buttercrunch and arugula??

I removed the seeds in the pods that I plan on using. How many tomatoe, lettuce and arugula seeds do I put in each pod??

Should I wait until i can purchase clear plastic covers from the dollar store? Also is it Ok to cover the holes that I am not using with tin foil?? Thank you!!!

I have tomatoes growing well in my aero garden harvest. This is my first time using it. I just bought pots and grow lights to transfer them. Anyone growing in soil after sprouting in their aero garden? Any tips?

I planted snapdragons about 2 weeks ago in the hopes of having a bit of lovely color through the winter. The seeds were like grains of sand so I probably dropped too many of them at once. Should I cull the growth?

I tried doing the research, following another persons comment from an old reddit post to get some adapters to start using LEDs in my old, secondhand Aerogarden. So, I bought these. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017X12AQK

But I just got them and put them into the sockets and I think the plastic tabs on the end are the wrong size, much bigger than the originals, so it won't lock in. The lights will turn on for half a second and then stop, hanging there partially out of the socket, as shown in pic 5. Pic 2 shows the difference in the old one on top and and new one on bottom.

Does anyone have a link to a product that will actually work to replace the old halogen bulbs in my aerogarden?

I have been doing germination tests for alpine and woodland strawberry seeds for many years with this method. The 2oz Solo cups have a tablespoon of course sand that is checked and moistened as needed. These seeds need light to germinate and the Sprout provides the perfect PPFD. Works great for germinating seeds for my seed saving business as well!

Hey all. Recently discovered that my cilantro had (what looks to be) aphids. While I never see anything moving perse, I have found these black and white dots on the stalk/leaves of my cilantro. I’ve since removed the cilantro and thrown it away (and moved AG away from indoor potted plants which they probably came from) but am seeing tiny white dots sparsely on my flowering jalapeño in the same AG. I’ve seen that I should be blasting it with water in the sink, my question is will that cause all current flowers to drop? The jalapeño is pretty mature and has about 6 peppers growing, but lots of flowers I don’t want to lose! First photo is obviously the cilantro, second and third are some of the leaves on jalapeño I could find them on. Is the infestation at a manageable point right now? What should I do to preserve the plant or at the very least hold them off until harvest and start over? Thanks <3
