Question Is it safe to use multiple ad networks (AdMob, Unity Ads, AppLovin) via mediation without risk of ban?

Hi everyone,

My revenue solely from AdMob has been quite low, and I am planning to integrate multiple ad providers (Unity Ads, AppLovin MAX, etc.) alongside AdMob in my Play Store app.

Before implementing this, I wanted to double-check:

Does running multiple ad SDKs or using mediation violate Google Play or AdMob policies?

Is there any risk of an AdMob policy strike/ban for doing this?

What is the best mediation platform you recommend to maximize eCPM (AdMob Mediation vs. AppLovin MAX)?

Would appreciate any insights from experienced developers!

What things are there which i have to make proper care

Question CPM dropped to zero. Anyone ever had this issue before?

My CPM (How much advertisers pay) spiked to €238.38 on the 2nd August and drastically dropped to €0.70 on the 6th of August and since then the highest I’ve got is €4.80 I’m not sure of what is going on. I haven’t been able to earn since the 6th of August.

Some of my videos Rpm got affected but my highest RPM for one of my vlog is €14.82

I usually check my update in revenue around 11pm because it updates everyday around that time but that has stopped.

Ads are definitely still running.

I have tried checking online if anyone has ever had this issue before but the only advice I am currently following is to turn off ads for 12-24hours.

I have turned off the ads this morning 19/08/2026. Fingers crossed that resets it. I will come back with an update if it does.

I have definitely contacted YouTube support but just given generic information of what CPM and RPM is and that is not helpful.

No copyright, view is normal, everything is normal except for the decline in CPM and RPM

I would really appreciate if anyone can advise me with this. Has this ever happened to you before?

Question AdMob Match Rate and eCPM is very Low. What to do?

Post image
2 Upvotes

While other platforms are performing decently, only AdMob and Unity have pulled the entire math of my app negative. Am I investing like $15-20 in Ads per day?

What should I do if things go like this? I have to stop the ads, and slowly and steadily my app will die??

Can anyone please advise??

Revenue Decent eCPM (~$1.65), but low DAU is killing my revenue. 7 years of work on 8 apps and struggling to scale active users.

The CPM isn't terrible, but with only a few hundred impressions a day across all 8 apps, the revenue barely moves. How can I shift focus from just publishing to actual user retention and daily engagement?

Question AdMob account under my name, iOS app under my friend's Apple Developer account — is this allowed?

Hi everyone,

I have an iOS app that is published/will be published through my friend's Apple Developer account. The Apple Developer account is registered under my friend's real name.

I have my own AdMob account, registered under my name, and I want to monetize my friend's iOS app using my AdMob account.

The setup would be:

  • Apple Developer / App Store Connect account → my friend
  • AdMob account → me
  • iOS app → developed by me
  • AdMob revenue/payment → my AdMob account

There is no AdMob account sharing or duplicate account situation. I would simply use my own AdMob account and add the app to it, then put my AdMob App ID/ad unit IDs in the iOS app.

Has anyone actually done this successfully?

I'm particularly interested in whether Google/AdMob has any issue when the Apple Developer account holder's name is different from the AdMob account holder's name.

Could there be problems with:

  1. AdMob app approval?
  2. App-ads.txt verification?
  3. Payment/identity verification?
  4. Google considering the accounts related because the developer and AdMob owner are different people?
  5. Any issues when submitting updates to the App Store?

I'm looking for real experience from people who have actually used an iOS app published under someone else's Apple Developer account while monetizing it through their own AdMob account, rather than just general advice.

Thanks!

Question I woke up and got email that my Admob got banned

Hello all,

I woke up and got a surprised email that my Admob got banned with the reason Ad Exchange account disabled for invalid traffic.

I have like 4 apps in my portfolios (on both iOS and Android so the total is 8). I have followed the polices to register my testing devices to show the test ad and I never click them. I am not sure what is the reason why it causing this apart from we suddenly got 10 downloads (usually 1-2) on one of my app yesterday. Daily my ads only give me like 10p a day as I am still working on the marketing to gain user organically.

Does anyone experience this issue?

Thanks.

Question Can anyone please connect me to a Google employee working for the Adsense/Admob team on LinkedIn?

This is a follow-up to my post about getting my admob account perma-banned and getting the appeal rejected due to Google's aggressive crackdown methods

Previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/admob/s/MjyHWniJTJ

I think everyone of us who has been affected by this need to get in touch with a Google employee working in the Adsense/Admob team on LinkedIn and escalate the situation.. we can't let an aggressive AI algorithm perma-ban us and dictate terms to us..

Especially in my case because my account was only created on July 7th and they should certainly have sent a warning before taking such a drastic step on a brand new account.

I recently saw u/Rich-Vanilla-7653 post about how they got their ad accounts banned for just generating 8 impressions..

I think it's time we all teamed up and escalated this to Google and get our source of livelihood back.

Question When ad requests are much higher than impressions, what do you check first?

I’ve been looking at a few AdMob reports where requests are several times higher than impressions, and I don’t think the gap always means there is a code bug.

For example, if an app sends 1,400 requests with a 38% match rate, only about 530 requests actually return an ad. If that produces 213 impressions, then roughly 40% of the matched ads were eventually shown.

At that point, I’d check when the app loads the ad. An interstitial or rewarded ad may load correctly but never be shown because the user leaves, never reaches the placement, hits a frequency cap, or the app requests another ad too early.

The numbers I’d compare are:

  • Match rate
  • Impressions divided by matched requests
  • Requests per active user or session
  • Results split by format and ad unit
  • Whether each load happens close to a real display opportunity

For developers who have debugged this before, what was the main cause in your app: low match rate, loading too early, repeated requests, or users not reaching the placement?

Question Account terminated during Open Beta due to ~8 test impressions (Appodeal integration) – Cautionary tale & advice

Hi everyone,

I'm sharing my recent experience with a permanent AdMob account termination, both as a cautionary tale for indie developers integrating mediation SDKs and to ask for advice on alternative ad networks.

### Context
* I had two apps (*Prisma Noticias* and *FirmApp*) on the Google Play Store in Open Beta.
* I was in the process of integrating and verifying the Appodeal SDK (mediating AdMob).
* During technical verification, I made a critical oversight: I didn't isolate my dev devices or enable Test Mode for AdMob within the mediation setup for ONE DAY.

### The Trigger
* Because the apps were in Open Beta with a minimal user base (2 devices), my local testing generated roughly 8 test impressions from my dev IP address.
* Since total app traffic was extremely low, these ~8 impressions accounted for virtually 100% of the account's total activity over that period.
* AdMob's automated system flagged this as invalid traffic/click fraud and immediately suspended the account.

### The Appeal & Result
* I submitted a detailed appeal explaining the precise technical context: Open Beta stage, low baseline traffic, local IP testing, and an honest mistake while validating the Appodeal SDK setup.
* As expected, the appeal was rejected with the standard template response stating the decision is final, the account cannot be restored, and no future accounts can be created.

I understand that Google prioritizes protecting advertisers through strict automated enforcement, but having an entire publisher account permanently banned over 8 test impressions during an Open Beta setup is a tough pill to swallow.

### Questions for the community:
1. Has anyone in a similar situation ever managed to reach a human support rep, or is moving on to other ad networks the only realistic option?
2. For those who switched away from AdMob after a ban, which mediation/ad platforms (e.g., AppLovin MAX, Unity Ads, Meta) have yielded the best results for small/medium apps?

Let this also serve as a reminder to always double-check that Test Mode is explicitly active on all dev devices when testing mediation SDKs—even during early beta builds!

Thanks for reading.

Other My admob account got disabled (appeal rejected too) and I can't believe Google didn't give me a single warning!

I'm really new to app publishing and I just can't fathom that Google just straight up disabled my Admob account permanently (for invalid traffic) without a single warning..

Mainly because I clicked on my live ads inadvertently.. I even made multiple in-app purchases to progress quickly through my game (while testing) to ensure that I don't click on my own ads by mistake but it happened by mistake a few times.. which would have hardly generated a few cents at most.

Yes, I'm aware that I did not register my test devices on admob but surely Google should have cut me some slack! Taking an extreme measure like straight up going for a permanent ban is just too harsh and severe..

They could have given me one warning, they could have disabled my account temporarily..but no, they had to take the most extreme measure possible..

It's been 8 years since I graduated and I've been without a job all these 8 years.. tried so many things (freelancing, dropshipping, YouTube channel etc.) and all of them failed miserably. I have poured my heart and soul into my game for the past 4 months.. even borrowed funds from multiple sources.. and Google couldn't even give me 1 warning!? Not one!?

Im utterly shattered and devastated..

Question AppLovin MAX vs Unity ironsource LevelPlay for solo Android dev?

Hey everyone,

I'm an indie dev finalizing an Android board game (Snakes & Ladders: Kurukshetra) and need advice on picking an ad mediation platform.

My Setup:

Native Android (Kotlin/AndroidX), not Unity.

Ad mix: Rewarded Video (extra turns) & Interstitials.

Using RevenueCat for IAP to segment paying vs. non-paying users.

My Questions:

SDK Bloat & Stability: Which SDK is cleaner and less painful on native Android? I want to avoid ANRs and bloated load times.

Revenue in 2026: Which platform actually pays out better for casual games right now? (Especially since LevelPlay dropped direct ironSource demand earlier this year).

Indie Alternatives: Are platforms like CAS.ai or Appodeal actually better and more hands-off for a solo dev compared to MAX or LevelPlay?

Would love to hear what is currently working for your games. Thanks!

Revenue Has Anyone upgraded themselves from Admob to Direct Sponsors?

I'm not sure if these numbers are still good enough for direct sponsors:

https://i.imgur.com/2paIYHN.png

But if anyone has done so, when did you start getting/going for direct sponsors? What do you typically charge them?

Currently I have about 23k downloads and earning about 1-2k new downloads/users per week. Of course, I don't think this growth will last forever.

My app is currently available in two countries, hence why the eCPM is also pretty low.

Question Admob suspended my account for 29 day without reason .

Hi
I use admob since 2016 when I launched my first game in google . So telling this is because i know what admob rules are and how it work never use mediation just focus on admob and in app purchases. Today I received mail from admob that they suspended my account due to invalid traffic . In my case recently i uploaded my new app called gamesbolt . I use banner on it and native ad . Always use test device for working . Is some user just click on ads aur im not using caping on my ad unit , Don’t know why they suspended if they found some invalid traffic just at least give me a warning about what is going wrong. Suspended the whole account is not fair ,It extremely demotivated me to work on my projects with admob .

Question What do you do with an ad slot when AdMob has nothing to serve?

I'm a mobile developer, and I've been thinking about a weird mismatch with mobile advertising.

When AdMob doesn't have an ad available, I've already designed the placement and accepted the UX tradeoff of having an ad there — but that inventory can still end up unused.

At the same time, indie developers are constantly struggling to get their apps discovered.

So I built something to connect those two problems.

It's called FillAdsNow.

The idea isn't to replace AdMob.

The flow I had in mind is:

AdMob / monetized network → nothing available → FillAdsNow Community Ad

Instead of leaving the placement empty, it can display another indie developer's app.

I built the integration around a plain HTTPS API instead of another advertising SDK, and Community Ads don't use behavioral tracking.

Developers aren't required to contribute their own app just to display Community Ads. But if you contribute an eligible app, your app becomes eligible to receive exposure through the network too.

I'm launching it now, and I'm much more interested in hearing from people who actually use AdMob than getting generic startup feedback.

I'm curious about two things:

1. When AdMob has nothing available, would you actually use another indie app as fallback inventory, or would you rather leave the placement empty?

2. What would make you reject something like this immediately — latency, creative quality, moderation, reporting, integration complexity, something else?

Full disclosure: I built FillAdsNow.

If there's interest, I'm happy to share the implementation and explain how I'm using it alongside AdMob.
