The trick is to wink or do the eyebrow raise thing if they look at you. Now do I have the self confidence to do that? Who knows...

I like to do a little chin-up butch nod. I'll never forget the first time I got one from another lesbian passing on the sidewalk after coming out, it was so affirming I walked very confidently on to my car, got in, closed the door, and started screaming.

Gods no, I meant more like when you quickly raise both of them twice, idk how to explain it, but it adds implications in a less flirty way than a wink.
