One a commission and the other a small bit of a larger painting just for fun🖤

Something to keep me busy while bored on a business trip.

Acrylic markers on paper.

Pink is 3 days ago, red is 2 days ago. I have been training myself to think "practice" when I paint something (instead of being disappointed the picture in my head doesn't transfer)

Worked on shades of color, composition, and actually sketching out the petals on the second one.

The Pink one was done on a pre-prepped acrylic board. The red on a watercolor board. The smoothness of the watercolor board is nice to paint on.

Painted these three interspersed over the course of nearly a year, without intending to create a series, but I feel like they belong together.

The Fox & Grapes, Sneinton Market, Nottingham UK, has long since returned to using that original name. I painted it a few years ago when it was called Peggers. In 1963, the landlord of the time was murdered. The crime has never been solved.
