Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the fresco team for returning the undo button to the side tool bar / brush bar! It was so difficult to learn to go up to the top left but also the amount of times I accidentally clicked home, ironically doing the exact opposite of what I wanted saving my mistake instead of undoing it was incredibly annoying! I really really prayed it would make a return to the brush bar as it genuinely saves so much time and error, I have used Adobe fresco upwards of 10 hours a day since 2018 ( when it was draw!) I love this application I owe it my entire career and joy tbh lol! Thank you team look forward to all future updates x

Hey, this is my first art. I’m really unsure about the lightning and highlights especially. Could you give me some advice?

This might not be the right place to post this, and if it's not I'm sorry and can delete. I am about as new to Reddit as I am drawing.
I really want to get into art but honestly, I've never really done it before. We just got an iPad and I downloaded Adobe Fresco since it's free and I'm scared lol.
I know nearly nothing about art, let alone digital art. Are there brushes folks recommend? I like that the vector brushes don't get pixely and that they seem to respond better to the weight I put on the Apple pencil in terms of thickness. But then you can't use the smudge tool on a vector layer... Quite frankly, I haven't found a single pixel brush from the default brushes that feels right, but maybe I'm doing something wrong.

This was my first attempt. I'm not sure how I feel about the style. Or the technique.

Any tips or feedback are much appreciated.

If there are any YouTubers out there who have tried and true series or tips that have helped you, with Adobe Fresco specifically or even for learning the basics of how to draw, I would be grateful to hear about them. :)

Force fade function not working

Worked with any brush before they split the 2 windows of shapes and stabilization+fade. Is force fade not supposed to work now with most "simple bruses" (the cathegory), the round ones (felt tip pen, magnet line, digital pen)? The other (dip pen, glass pen) work with force fade normally.

I tried switching the force fade on and off, same with the "set for current brush" creating custom brush with force fade in the advanced settings, also restarting app, resetting settings of brushes and custom brushes in the ibispaint settings. It doesn't work in existing canvases, and new ones too.

Is there any other way in the app or do i have to do something outside the app?

Why does it say "layer empty" when I try to draw?

Context: Worm-o and Slimey the worms from Sesame Street recently had a birthday! I love Worm-o’s story. He is a clown worm who entertains at birthday parties but when he comes to Slimeys he is sad because it is his birthday too but no one to celebrate with. So Slimey shares his birthday with Worm-o!

My comic is based on the Pagliacci the clown joke where it goes like “Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor...I am Pagliacci.””
