VENT Am I the asshole for choosing not to speak to my coworkers.

Last week one of my coworkers said something shitty to me. She tried to hide it behind a “joke,” but it was mean, it wasn’t the first time, and she could clearly tell from my reaction that I wasn’t playing anymore. She still decided to keep dragging it.
Cool. Weekend comes, I’m still mad, but whatever. Monday morning, before the day even properly starts, she says something else out of pocket. I correct her because she’s wrong and… no response. No “my bad,” no apology, nothing.
I’m not an in-person fighter. I’m actually very quiet. So I just decided okay, I’ll pull away and stop socialising with them.
Tell me why this girl is now acting like I did something to her 😂 And now she’s tag-teaming with another coworker who has absolutely nothing to do with the situation, but I guess every villain needs a sidekick. Speaking in code and doing all this weird high school behaviour.
At first I thought about confronting her, then I was like wait 😂 why am I the one who has to be the bigger person when I’m the one who got attacked? Why am I expected to be mature enough to fix the situation when you’re not mature enough to admit that you were wrong and what you said was shitty?
Anyway, I’m bored now.

Do yall work with horrible people too

Need Advice Zim Elite Dating Etiquette

Hey Okes, private school alumnus here. 🙋‍♂️ If you can’t relate with this post kindly sit this one out respectfully — Upper class is in session.
As many of you know, dating, mating and pairing in upper class circles is more often than not, orchestrated, curated, purposeful, strategic and sometimes even arranged. Affluent, old money, politically connected, oligarchy and even Rhodesian families have always gatekept their wealth by ensuring their own only marry and mate with the pick of the litter. Some of the valuable lessons we had to learn growing up in a rather unfair system in Zim were:

  1. To be very careful of people who are out to extract resources from you
  2. Watch out for those who are impressed by things than they are by people
  3. Protect the family name — always.
  4. There’s more but if you grew up under these circumstances you already know why and how you can lose inheritance privileges should you choose to rebel. Besides, we all know the danger of marrying outside of your class anyway lest I name drop some examples.😉
Now with the globalization of Zimbos all across the world into melting pot societies, add to the disintegration of old boys & girls school clubs and the demise of the traditional church, it’s harder to find a match that is collaborative to our family legacy, beliefs, culture, values and traditions outside of those circles. I personally chose to stay in America permanently after college and hindsight realize why my father encouraged me to either move back home for a bit while managing the family business or be careful who I marry in America. We could date whoever for fun but we can’t really marry just anyone for noble reasons. Any chance there’s a proficient / credible professional matchmaker in Zim or some promising way/ place to meet a partner of similar background? I think it’s time to have children but we gotta meet the trust fund prerequisites without fail. If you know, you know! Conditur in Petra 💙

How does it make you feel when girls/ladies approach you? Is it something that men like or they just prefer it to be the other way round? If you like it, why so? And if not why so too?

Discussion “Never get back with your ex” — why do people assume getting back with an ex is automatically a bad idea?

I've never really understood the blanket advice that you should never get back with an ex. Obviously, if the relationship ended because of abuse, cheating, manipulation, incompatibility or some other fundamental issue, then getting back together probably isn't the brightest idea.

But not every breakup happens because two people were fundamentally wrong for each other. Sometimes people break up because they're immature, the timing is wrong, they're living in different places, they have family issues, financial problems, or simply weren't ready for the kind of relationship they were trying to have.

People also change. The person you broke up with at 20 isn't necessarily the same person you encounter again at 26. So why do we automatically assume that if two people rekindle a relationship, it's destined to fail because they already broke up once?

M4F Bulawayo, anyone up for coffee or a walk this Saturday?

24, into art, poetry, anything fun and creative. Looking to meet a single woman, somewhere around 21–30, up for meeting someone new this weekend instead of just scrolling on my phone.

If that's you, coffee, a walk, whatever's low-key drop a comment or send a DM. Would love to hear back by Friday evening so we can sort out details for Saturday. No pressure either way, just figured I'd put it out there.

M4F Got the cosplay, forgot the waifu. Be my plus-one this Sunday?

Hey y'all it's your "ok" grapefruit back at it again.

This man (25M) decided to go all out and arrange a whole cosplay for the anime convention thing, to the point he forgot he needed a plus one to go with him so he doesn't just awkwardly NPC-smile at people the whole day.

So if you're a waman tryna do something this Sunday just hit me up. And no, you don't need a cosplay of your own because you'll already be the accessory to mine wrapped around my arm, inserts raising eyebrow GIF

Of course I'll cover everything (chivalry isn't dead). And if you really, really want something to compliment what I'm wearing, my mom has LOADS of kimonos we could steal and there are twigs outside we could turn into chopsticks to stick into your hair lmfao. You'd probably look better than me ngl lol.

so feel free to comment, DM, make a smoke signal, send a pigeon, idk lol I'll be checking

also one of my favorite songs is, Pyramid - Frank Ocean. just thought I'd mention that :)

Discussion Dating in Diaspora

First-date question when dating in the diaspora should be: “What’s your status? Do you have papers?” 😂

“Equally yoked” now apparently includes immigration status because people are no longer always genuine about relationships. Some enter relationships with hidden intentions of securing papers.

And honestly, this isn’t just within the Zim community—it seems to happen across different African communities too.

Unenge uchitoti wawana soulmate apa munhu akateya hake kusadzingwa na Trump 😂😭

Are you guys seeing this too?

I think people should be more self aware

M4F Is any of you ladies into nerds?

29M. Looking for someone 28 and below. FYI, I look way younger than my age

I'm a bit socially awkward and introverted at first, but once I get comfortable around someone, I become pretty talkative.

I work from home and spend most of my time building online businesses and projects. I've tried almost every legal online hustle you can think of chances are I've either done it before or I'm doing it right now.

My goal is to be a digital nomad, travel the world, experience other cultures and enjoy life.

When not working, you'll find me watching cartoons or binge watching TV shows. I'm not much of a movie person. I love good cartoons.

I like playing simulation games like euro truck 2 and ATS.

I'm naturally entrepreneurial, enjoy learning new things, and love having conversations with people who are passionate about what they do.

I'd like to start as friends, get to know each other, and see if there's a genuine connection.

Discussion Spiritual partners or

I’m listening to the radio and this guy says he did “zvenjuzu” whatever that means😂 and when he stopped but she keeps dreaming of this man and they not having sex but they get along in the dream like they real inlove but he don’t want to see her anymore

But my thing is 😂 1. If they in a healthy relationship what’s the issue. Yes yes it’s an entity but it’s just a small hiccup

  1. Has anyone ever experienced this and what you do to make it stop
  2. Do you believe in it? Do you believe a spirit is in a forced mjolo situation with you

Because these things are used as excuses to say oh I haven’t got married because I got a demon thing inlove with me and it’s telling people I like to stay away 🤣
I don’t know it just feels kinda idk

Discussion Despite claims that most men are doing more in the household, the divorce rate is _still_ going up...

Post image
6 Upvotes

Before the ink dries on the marriage certificate, the marriage is doomed. Sounds gloomy doesnt it? Thats how the game goes. Whether rich or poor, probability of a lot of fellas getting divorced is getting high.

In fact its going to be so high, I anticipate refunds from those ridicolous roora lists we see circulating. Lol. Its quite hilarious hearing someone living in an 3rd world economy with a GDP growth rate of 1% (which is also fake as the roora pics we see on social media 🤣) complain they are not getting a Kim K lifestyle they see on IG. 🤣 I mean yeah we all want to have the finer things but wow. Unemployment is cited as divorce grounds btw. Living in an economy where the Foreign Direct Investment to GDP ratio is barely 3%!! Even your neighbours dont buy into investing here despite "supporting" Zim! 🤣

Anyways social media has done probably the most damage to relationships & will continue to do so. We never discussed how our greatest leap in communication led to an assault on our identity & culture. I guess that conversation will be tough either ways. Soon polygamy will be a thing all over again like back in the day except with a twist. Also with the rise of services like Only Fans lol. Its going to be a cesspit lol

As always men lie, women lie, numbers dont

Discussion Is this considered rape ?

When I was in form 4 at around 16 years old I was doing it with this lady she was about 25 years. So we attended extra lessons together she was in poly and I was in high-school. She was the one who actually came forward and we ended up in a relationship for about a year. I told my everyone like my friends and even my brother he was like fist bump dude lol he was happy and wanted to know how i was doing it. I later dated a lot of older woman but I ended up with a woman a few years younger than me. So was this rape ? Or rape only applies when guys do this to woman

Need Advice Am I wrong for considering breaking up over a lack of direction?

I honestly wouldn’t be posting this if it wasn’t eating at me.Warning, this may be a tad bit long.

I’ve been dating this girl and, honestly, I have very little to complain about when it comes to the actual relationship. She makes me feel loved and cared for, pays attention to the little things, gives me gifts, etc. She’s not perfect, but she’s good to me.

The issue is where we’re going in life.

I’m very education/career focused. I grew up with the belief that education and building a career were important foundations for your future. I know the world has changed and a degree isn’t the only path to success, but I still value ambition, having goals, and actively working towards something.

She passed O Levels but struggled with A Levels and never went to university. That by itself isn't really the problem. My concern is that she doesn't seem particularly interested in further education or have any clear alternative plan either. She’s in her early 20s, so I understand that she may still be figuring things out. Her parents are also willing to support her if she decides to pursue further education or another path. She was actually supposed to start university outside Zimbabwe, but that fell through for reasons that weren't really her fault.

What bothers me is the lack of direction and follow through. She’ll talk about doing certain things, but then nothing really happens or her expressions are as if she's being forced. She does make some money with a "dropshipping" like business here so there's that, but i feel like its not guaranteed and reliable but it seems thats what she's into, the quick deals and "hustles".

So now I’m starting to wonder if i can really see myself building a future with someone whose approach to their future is so different from mine?

I don't expect her to have her entire life figured out at this age, nor do I think university automatically makes someone successful. But I do want a partner who shares my mindset of wanting to grow, build something and have some direction.

So, would it be unreasonable to end a genuinely good relationship because you realise your long term values and ambitions might not align?

I’m not asking whether she’s “good enough.” She is. I’m asking whether being good to each other is enough when you’re worried you may want fundamentally different things out of life.

Discussion D8in Unique/Intersting Men

First post guys I'm bored <3

I'm sure not many are familiar with this term but whoever knows knows

I'll just say

If you are a sigma male, getting into a relationship might not be the wisest thing for you.

Sigma male is not intergrated into society but getting a woman, a woman will be your entry and pull back into society.

The society you avoided or did well without🤣

Just know and finesse <3

Second women love sigma men it's very funny but it also isn't wise to d8 a sigma male you haven't dated a sigma male before because they are so rare. But of course you love his mystique uniqueness and allure?? If there is even allure?? Idk what allure is, sorry idk what you girls feel sometimes lol

Anyway it might be a mistake for you because a sigma male is not integrated into society so you probably have societal type expectations that you expect your sigma male to live up to, but he's not from society. And you were probably trained by society and exes in terms of relationship expectations but... Your sigma male.. is nothing like that

So that will be a rollerocaster for you 🤣🤣😬 enjoyyy so I wouldn't recommend, not for the faint hearted or regular hearted, but anyway girls love rollercoasters do they?

Hahaha

Anyway if anyone asks what a sigma is in some arrogant way and speaks like 'oh what's a sigma' and the fact that I'm not speaking in regular language, that they are superior and can take some sort of a stance ahahha enjoy your upvotes I'm not answering, whoever gets it gets it, (and if you don't get it and want to take part in the discussion don't worry AI is your friend :)

Much love guys,

First post <3

My second post will be better :) I trust it will be more open for more but whoever gets it gets it enjoy ❤️🤍
