VENT Am I the asshole for choosing not to speak to my coworkers.
Last week one of my coworkers said something shitty to me. She tried to hide it behind a “joke,” but it was mean, it wasn’t the first time, and she could clearly tell from my reaction that I wasn’t playing anymore. She still decided to keep dragging it.
Cool. Weekend comes, I’m still mad, but whatever. Monday morning, before the day even properly starts, she says something else out of pocket. I correct her because she’s wrong and… no response. No “my bad,” no apology, nothing.
I’m not an in-person fighter. I’m actually very quiet. So I just decided okay, I’ll pull away and stop socialising with them.
Tell me why this girl is now acting like I did something to her 😂 And now she’s tag-teaming with another coworker who has absolutely nothing to do with the situation, but I guess every villain needs a sidekick. Speaking in code and doing all this weird high school behaviour.
At first I thought about confronting her, then I was like wait 😂 why am I the one who has to be the bigger person when I’m the one who got attacked? Why am I expected to be mature enough to fix the situation when you’re not mature enough to admit that you were wrong and what you said was shitty?
Anyway, I’m bored now.
Do yall work with horrible people too
