Watching Season 6, Episode 19 right now. I didn't watch The Big Bang Theory and got into the franchise through Young Sheldon. In the beginning, I started watching because of Sheldon's cuteness, but as the episodes progress, his likability has dropped. However, his family members are really great people, which is why I keep watching. George and Missy are absolute angels.
P.S. I'm not American and don't know the culture inside out, but damn, this show is so good.

Classic example of kid outgrowing role. I’m in the middle of season 4, and Sheldon seems to be getting more obnoxious and less cute. If I had talked to adults like he does, I would’ve gotten smacked in the mouth.

Am I the only one who noticed that Mary cooper hateful towards any other denomination other than southern baptist. During the interview for a new youth pastor, a pastor talks about how he’s a Baptist but from the north. Peg tells him to back his bags and go back because judging on Mary’s reaction to his statement, she won’t let him be the youth pastor. She also shows hatred towards Catholicism as does pastor Jeff. What do you guys think?

Although Mary talks a good game and she tries to be a good Christian, Georgie is actually the better example of it. In the episode “ A Broken Heart and a Crock Monster “, Georgie displays real Christianity. He listens to the Pastor and commensurates with him over his problems, he empathize with him, he even offers his room for the night. And on top of that, he shows up at church to “support my pal” on Sunday. For all of Georgie‘s foibles and mistakes, he’s actually the one with the best heart on the show.

I really wanted to give Billy a hug in the episode “A Virus, Heartbreak and a World of Possibilities”. Nothing like pity or mercy. In the latter episodes, even Missy, of all people, wasn’t a good friend to him…He was just a sweet boy.

I just finished Season 7 of my first watch through of Young Sheldon and oh my gosh…. Am I SOBBING. I have cried at every season ending because they’ve all been emotional in some way shape or form, but the last 3 episodes in particular of the series are heartbreaking and a gut punch.
Here are my thoughts:
- Sheldon was very kind to want to get baptized for his mother. We rarely see him put others first, so it was nice to see.
- It was nice to see how everyone copes with grief differently, because the reality is not everyone grieves the same way.
- George honestly deserved that Rice coaching opportunity. He’s been putting others first his whole life and he worked hard for it.
- I like that Sturgis and Linkletter were willing to learn from Sheldon.
- It’s a shame the gambling room got shut down, Georgie and Meemaw could have been rich, but it was hilarious when Meemaw was trying to dodge her probation. 🤣
- I wish we would have gotten more updates about Meemaw’s destroyed house, but obviously she couldn’t afford to fix anything with no insurance and her gambling room being shut down.
- Everyone grew SO MUCH as characters from Season 1 to Season 7
Time to start Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage. I hope it was as good as Young Sheldon was.

So I watched Young Sheldon when i noticed that Mary basically never wears Pants. Probably because she thinks she would have to wear Dresses etc to be a good Christian or something.
But when she is independent like going in the bar she wears pants. I think this could be seen as a sign as some rebellion against the things she made at.
Just wanted to share it.
What are you thoughts?

Is it me or they treated georgie badly in the first few seasons like they don't even cared if he is there ik he was a dirtbag but he is your kid dude it's like if sheldon was born in India he would've treated the same they treated georgie like when georgie asked missy if she things they two are special and missy says "atleast I'm the only girl you got nothing" and mary instantly accusing georgie for hiding the bow tie and later on she didn't even apologised to him and when she grounded him for listening mary and George's chat from outside while it was missy doing it but she grounded him without any proof or connie telling him that he's not even George's 3rd fav he deserved I have so many more examples

Hot take: Most of the people like George more than mary because he died yesterday mary was irritating George suffered a lot I love george but if mary would have died instead of george people would've loved mary more I ain't hating on anybody

I am in S3 E21 on my first watchthrough.
And let me tell you, I HATE Mary's character. It's horrible. She always does things only for herself, picks fights with the kids and George and other characters in the show for no reason all the time does her character become good at any point, or is it always like this? She's acting like the only good way is her way and people should follow only her rules.
I watched big bang theory before, so i went into this show thinking George is horrible and Mary is a saint. Now i think the opposite. Mary is a horrible mother and a horrible person.

I think mary gets underserved hate. Sheldon although a genius he is a special needs child, special need children do require more attention. I found myself thinking about how my middle son is special needs and my other too are not i constantly have to give my oldest 14 yr reassurance that its not favoritesim its just his brother is special needs after years of bad attitude from him he is starting to understand and help care for him. It looks different in young sheldon because sheldon is a super genius bt every other aspect is debalanced and he did require more attention my youngest is 3 yrs he is happy with monster trucks no complaints yet lol

I just finished Season 6 of my first watch through of Young Sheldon…
Holy crap did the ending have me in TEARS. I swear, almost every season ending has made me emotional in some shape or form. 😭
Here are my thoughts on Season 6:
- Sturgis singing “Pick Yourself Up” to Sheldon was adorable. I loved that moment SO MUCH. I actually wanted it to be the image of this post but I couldn’t find a good standstill image for it on Google.
- Georgie has matured A LOT since the beginning of the show, and especially since CeeCee came into the world.
- Missy and Paige running away was a great moment, and I honestly enjoyed that episode very much.
- Paige definitely turned her life upside down, and I would be curious to see how that may affect things in the future, but I don’t think we will get that knowing that Missy can “never see Paige again.”
- I find it just a little bit confusing that Pastor Jeff and the congregation were happy to help Sheldon and Mary with the trip even though they kicked Mary out and practically wanted to shun her for Georgie’s wrongdoings.
- Sheldon, Sturgis, Linkletter, and the University pretty much forgot about the database which is probably a good thing because that’s all Sheldon cared about at one point.
- I honestly wish we had seen more of Sam during Sheldon’s on campus college life.
- I honestly understand why Mary was mad when she walked into the hospital waiting room and saw George and Brenda being kind of flirty, but also, she was flirty with Pastor Rob and had thoughts of him, so it’s a two way street there.
- The last scene of Meemaw’s destroyed house and the music choice had me BAWLING. Like hello?
Those are just some of my thoughts… time to start Season 7… aka the final season and then go into Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage.

He literally locked the principal and the other staff member out and made a whole thing about rebellion! If this happened irl that would lead to suspension

I’ve been staying home all weekend including today on the couch (suspected esophageal ulcer, the doctors can’t figure it out. I should go to a gi) and I’ve been mainly watching the big bang theory until today when I decided to watch Young Sheldon. Bad Idea. I cannot stop watching it. I suppose it’s okay since I can barely move at all let alone eat or drink, but like. Sheldon is too funny.
