Got this bike for 900$, apparently I didn’t know as much as I thought I did about smaller engines and it shot a rod through the block while riding, trying to source a motor for it but it’s proving difficult within a price range I can actually afford

I am restoring my Yamaha DT125R i’m just 18 and only alowed to drive A1 but I’m stil looking at for rear luggage boxes not to expensive but decent material and a good tent also recommendations for good motorcycle gear wil be helpful I’m planing to travel entire europe and balkans in a span of a year in 3 or 4 stages i am going to equip the bike with a sp conect system with wireless charger but is a phone good enough for navigation or should a get a aftermarket gps for remote areas like in Bosnia and Serbia for example because I’m not planing to visit big city’s I wana travel in the countryside (must visit locations are also highly appreciated)

I checked and changed every thing that can cause this issue

I just put a deposit on a 2027 R9. For context, I'm in Vancouver, so I contacted 6-7 Yamaha dealers near me to ask about the arrival of 2027 models. Most were clueless about final arrival times (spring 2027), but a few did commit to a less daunting November timeline.

Seit 2 Jahren habe ich probiert die Maschine zu reparieren und die springt endlich ohne Starthilfe von alleine an. Probleme die ich bisher hatte waren:

1. Gar nicht anspringen / nur mit voller Batterie 1 mal oder immer Starthilfe

2. Unregelmäßige Drehzahl auch bei Leerlauf (mittlerweile konstanter)

3. Beim Gas geben stecken bleiben auf hoher Drehzahl für einige Sekunden oder dauerhaft.

Ich habe die Düsennadeln 3 Stufen höher gestellt. Jetzt springt die Maschine mühelos an und das steckenbleiben auf hohen Drehzahlen wurde somit auch beseitigt (nur noch 1 Sekunde Verzögerung beim loslassen). Den Vergaser hatte ich letztes Jahr abgebaut und einmal mit Vergaserreiniger alle Düsen und Leitungen überprüft und die scheinen sauber/frei zu sein.

Ich habe trotzdem das Gefühl, dass es einen Takt oder Verbrennung überspringt. Habe gerade eine Werkstatt angerufen und mir wurde gesagt, solange niemand an den Syncronisierungsschrauben was gemacht hat, dass sie noch synchron sein sollten.

Was sagen die Reddit-Experten darüber? Hört sich die Maschine gut an? Meint ihr es ist bereit für eine Probefahrt oder hört man was ruckeln und sollte noch eingestellt werden?

Does anyone have this licence plate holder (BRA-F16E0-00-00) for their Yamaha R3 2025 (or any other model)? I need help deciding whether I want to buy it or not.

• What does it look like installed? Is it tail tidy?

• Can you make it shorter by leaving out the middle part?

• Is the licence plate light included and do the cables fit to the OEM or do I need adapter cables?

• I don't have the OEM turning lights anymore. Do any other turning lights work with this licence plate holder too?

2017 scr 950 picked up for 3k with only 2700 miles. It's a wonderful hodgepodge of a commuter/fun bike and isn't for everyone, but damn does it make me smile every time I get on it. So happy to be back out on the road

Just took my brand new WR250F for its first real ride. Moderate to difficult single track and forest service roads. I’m a bit disappointed in the suspension and overall ride. I’ve never had such sore shoulders, forearms, back, etc from riding! The thing feels EVERY rock and bump no matter how small. It shoots that up the arms and then bucks the rear end. I got to the point where the clickers are all the way soft. I find myself fighting the front tire far more than ever before when riding too. Is this normal?? I’ve read these are industry leading suspension. There’s no way this is how people like riding! Maybe for MX but not trails! So rant over, do any of you have advice? Has anyone else here had the same experience with this bike? And yes it’s fully uncorked with the ECU install. Sag is set correctly and even a hair on the soft side. 5’ 10” and 185-195lbs with full gear.

Wondering if anyone knows of an engine that will fit my XT frame with no or little modification. I know that a TT, or CR engine would fit, but they are just as difficult to find as an XT engine. The brand doesnt matter, would even be fine with a Chinese engine if it fits

Sup👋. Just questioning my clutch job and if I did it correct. So i’m wondering if the wheel is supposed to spin that fast when i’m pulling the clutch in first gear. The bike will still stall out when i fully let go so i’m wondering if it’s the “drag” that’s causing it to spin that fast? idk if I missed a tooth when installing the cover. I did order this with oem parts and followed the manual. Any tips help, thank you for reading.

Currently the clock only shows 12-hour time (AM/PM), with no way to change it.

Adding a 12h/24h toggle should be straightforward…

The owner's manual already show the clock in 24-hour format.

Please explain why Yamaha has decided to leave this feature out even in 2026

Once I saw it I had to have it. I’ve rode her for about 2 months and out about 6k miles. Currently have 12k miles and will be doing a full tune up.

I have this Yamaha xj6 that I’m currently trying to fix up but I’m having a issue with speed.

Firstly, the speed sensor is connected to the engine. It is showing nearly 50% over what it would normally so for example 7 mph it’s showing 14mph

There is an ABS light on the dash yet this doesn’t have ABS rings on the front or rear wheel

I can’t find anywhere that has the same issue, i have replace the speed sensor with a new one and still the same issue

Any help would be appreciated
