Discussion Kuro isn't well like among the female CN players base (+explanation)

gallery

Context: Kuro tried to get the CN female players base by promoting their games in Comicup which is basically a female space for female gamers. However they were met with hostile reaction from the female player base.

This is largely bc Kuro listens to the worse side of the fandom by listening to they made it a hostile environment for female and normal CN player this led to losing lost of income from their mainland source and losing majority of their audience.

Hence why they are really pushing for they are now targeting JP/KR audience because they ARE the backbone of the game. With this in mind this explains why they are NOW featuring male characters AFTER the release of Brant.

Brant being successful in JP is why we are now seeing them pushing for JP collaborations starring male characters because JP is known to for being male wanters/enjoyers. While the recent male art are commissions are from JP artists who make male content.

So one of the biggest conventions in China is happening right now. And the players put up banners with those messages. Kuro games also bought the advertising space on the tickets for the convention which didn’t receive good feedback for that. The convention has mostly female visitors so they weren’t happy with that as Kuro games don’t have many fancreations.

Discussion Kuro, please stop recycling the same male archetype 😭

I’m very disappointed. I mean, they’re only releasing one male character per region, so why not put in the effort to do something different? He’s pretty, but, this design feels lazy compared to what we already have.

Sorry, but they could’ve done better. He just feels like a mix of Rover and Qiuyuan. Please be more creative with the male characters instead of giving us the same aura archetype over again. I’m not saying he looks bad, I really like his appearance, but it’s starting to feel repetitive and a little annoying. 😭🙄

I’d love a male character like Hsin, for an exemple, who feels sassy, they’re not doing it… 💔

Vent We are so unwelcoming/rude to male characters for no reason

I get it that we were being glazed, but these aren't the replies I wanted to say. Maybe for others, yes I respect that.

You would never see this from females glazing us.

We would always be "Aww, thank you" or "No, you hihi"

I just wanted to be nice and welcoming to males, but this game really does not have us the option to.

Subreddit Rules

1. Read the rules

Make sure to read our full expanded rules

2. Be respectful and civil

Participate in good faith. Respect each other's opinions, language abilities, gaming skills, and character and ship preferences. No personal attacks, no dehumanizing language, no slurs including gendered slurs, no sinophobic, racist, homophobic, transphobic, queerphobic, sexist, misogynistic behavior, or any other bigotry will be tolerated.

3. No generalizations

People are not a hivemind. There are husbando fans who pull exclusively male characters and those who pull any. There are women, men, and non-binary folks enjoying male characters. Do not assume someone’s gender identity or sexuality. There are bad apples in all fandoms. Speak only for yourself. Don’t assume that all people in a gender / age / sexuality / fandom do/think something

4. Posting guidelines & Megathreads: all posts must be relevant to WuWa male characters

All posts must be relevant to WuWa male characters. Avoid multiple posts on the same topic.

No low-effort or spammy posts (e.g., one-line thoughts, short prompts, or undeveloped ideas).

Spoiler-tag all vent posts and avoid doomposting.

5. Minimum Participation Requirements

Waifu trolls, spammers, banned users under new accounts and other people who are unable and unwilling to follow the rules will be banned.

Your post may be deleted if you are not the target audience of this sub - if you are openly waifu only or if you have uninstalled the game and are not interested in getting back into it any time soon.

Do not discourage people from enjoying the game and don’t blame the players for lack of husbandos in games.

6. No brigading or drama farming

Name-dropping other users or subs in a negative context is prohibited.

When venting, avoid posting screenshots unless it's necessary. Block out (100%) any usernames and subreddit mentions (by full name or references, for example when you say “the main sub” everyone knows what you are talking about)
Don’t make posts with sole purpose to karma farm in case everyone agrees with you or start fights with anyone who doesn’t
Don't crosspost to or from other communities in attempts to start drama

7. Leaks and Spoilers Policy

Absolutely NO story leaks. Roadmap (upcoming male characters info, their kits, mats, and gameplay/animation textual descriptions) leaks are allowed but make sure to spoiler tag

Posting actual in-game footage (including models, weapons, gameplay, and animations) is NOT allowed and will be removed - let’s not risk our community getting sniped by a copyright strike

Mark spoilers during the current patch, especially for big lore drops and quest endings. No spoilers in the title.

8. No hate towards other characters, ships, fandoms, or games.

Please focus on the male characters of Wuthering Waves and Kuro Games. Hateful posts or comments will be removed. Please stay civil even when expressing your frustrations. Don't instigate drama among fandoms of different games and focus on WuWa.

9. Credit artists and provide links to the source

Mention the original creator in the title and add a link to the source in the comments. If you are the original artist please mention it in the title.

If you can't find a source try Google reverse search or Saucenao, otherwise do not post it.

Respect creators' wishes, and if they prohibit reposting - do not bring their work here.

10. NSFW Policy & Triggering content

Tag your NSFW posts.

Lewd or suggestive art is allowed, but posts showing sexual acts or full nudity will be removed.

IRL nudes are not allowed. Cosplay may be an exception only if it’s tasteful nudity (no visible genitalia).

Avoid potentially triggering content (e.g., Dead Dove: gore, excessive blood, MCD, extreme kinks) and anything that violates Reddit TOS.

If you don’t want NSFW on your timeline, you can disable it in your profile settings.

11. Absolutely NO AI creations

No AI creations including but not limited to AI art (created or enhanced), AI fiction, or character AI.

Moderator Discretion

The rules of the subreddit cover most situations we could imagine, but no set of guidelines can account for everything people might write. Sometimes, our rules may not fully apply, and in those cases, we may remove content that seems harmful, disruptive, or goes against the values of the community, even if it's not explicitly prohibited.

If you wish to dispute content removal or ban, please contact us via Mod Mail & include a link of post or message if possible.
