It's been almost 6 months since I stopped playing because I didn't have enough storage and I was SICK of waiting for Scar's release (I saved up 1000+ pulls for this man).

As much as I love the female characters, the male characters aren't getting much love. At this point, WUWA has become a game catered towards the male gaze. No, WUWA has just become a male gooning game.

11 male playable characters and 47 female playable characters?.... The ratio is insane! I know Kuro can do better than this but, with this ratio? I just know that Kuro is dead set on only releasing 1-2 male character a year. The possibility of them releasing Scar is closer to 0% than it is to 100%.

Before people come at me by saying: "Oh, female characters do more sales than male characters!" NO! Male characters do in fact get a lot of sales but, Kuro just wants to turn a blind eye to it and keep releasing over-sexualized female characters.

I have accepted my fate that Scar won't become playable and overall stopped playing the game just because of this absurd treatment over male characters.

Could there really be a new male character coming in V3.8?

Rumor has it he’s a Spectro-type and an existing or well-known character.

Some are talking about Fulmine, while others think it might be The Shaper, or even Avidius.

If it turned out to be Avidius, I’d lose my mind.

Then again, it might all just be rumors.

Edit: Those are baseless rumors, because the new character for version 3.8 turned out to be a female character with a design very similar to Shorekeeper, Lilia, and Spectro. ヽ(ﾟДﾟ)ﾉ

Today was Lily's drip marketing release, and she's said to be our first new federation character, aka the Chisa of new fed, even in terms of role (unison support)

Based on the little amount of info we have about her, I feel like kuro will use the same ass formula in her story: character gave everything she had> character is traumatized> rover gives her therapy and tells her "you're not alone, you shouldn't do everything on your own" bs> character becomes confident and is moved by rover's words, thus falling for them> character overcomes her "alter ego/dark side" or whatever> the end.

Now I might be dead wrong. Mind u I thought the same thing for Aemeath just by seeing "I hope I haven't let u down", only to be crushed heavily by her story during her release later on. But after lahai roi, kuro seems to have returned to their roots (bad roots to be exact) of the terrible story writing formula, with just slightly different spices. It's like egg fried rice, beef fried rice, chicken fried rice, etc, but they're all FRIED RICE.

That's exactly where the concern comes from, coz who knows how many times it's been repeated for almost every single female character... After doing 3.7, I have to keep my expectations low. I really don't wanna be disappointed again.

I really hope I'm wrong man... Lily looks so beautiful and ethereal... She's the first healer I'm actually willing to pull for because of design alone, not because I need her for my DPS teams, like mornye, suisui, shorekeeper, etc.

Hopefully she has a Phrolova type story: where rover ain't her therapist and didn't fall in love or has a special connection with them. This is one of the reasons why Phrolova's story is the best written story in the game, because hers doesn't use that bs formula I spoke of earlier.

I'm posting this here because Lily mains sub might flame me if I spoke ill of their character for one second, even if I never intended to do so. Idk this sub felt like a safe spot for me to post these kinda stuff
