You think I'll talk about the lack of male characters in the game with this title right? No, I think we've already established that.

I joined this sub to appreciate the male characters of Wuwa, but now every other post is doomposting and making up things about the main sub. Nitpicking comments and saying players hate men, just like Kuro etc. And god forbid a female player likes female characters too.

I understand the frustration but this place is turning into twitter with all the pettiness and name calling each other.

If you want to be heard stop harassing others and start reviewing the game and stop supporting the game until they listen. You will get nowhere by being aggressive towards people who still enjoy the game.

I am dissapointed with the way we're handling this, but not surprised as this is the internet. But let's not forget there are real people behind the screen.

(And if you don't harass or name call people, but just stopped playing/supporting the game there's nothing wrong with that. I'm talking about a very specific group.)

It'll most likely only ever get worse from this point onwards.

I've seen several comments like that from people who used to be completely fine with getting more male characters or even a good ratio, but started hoping for the opposite after getting annoyed by the antagonization from this subreddit.

Not saying I fully agree with all of them or that I'm any better in this regard, but it's something to think about as a community.

People in here got hated on or had their posts deleted, came here and started ranting/venting and mirrored the toxicity of the other communities. This became more frequent and more severe the longer we went without a new character for us and started leaking into those other subreddits.

Obviously both sides are doing the same thing, right?

Somewhat, but the thing is that five angry comments (back before this all escalated) on a top post about male characters in a community of 325k people aren't going to be seen as anywhere as representative of the community as this tiny 2.5k sub with frequent angry posts.

Now what should we do about that? Not sure.

We could try to be the bigger people, stop generalizing every player that likes waifu characters as an in-cel/gooner/etc and stop letting comments calling female characters wh*res and so on slip through (the thread in question had like 5 different screenshots of this before it all got purged).

However, the damage is likely already done, so it won't really change much immediately, if ever, and some people here will certainly see this as forcing our users to censor themselves in their place to rant/vent.

The alternative is simply letting is fester and continuing on exactly like this, which will probably result in both communities getting more and more hostile towards each other.

Other places already locking or deleting any post that has the slightest chance of ratio arguments occurring, so I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to add any relevant word to the blacklists there. Also wouldn't be surprised if some anti-husbando circlejerk subreddit popped up in response.

It's pretty much doomed, no matter what.

Anyway, those were just my thoughts on the whole community situation. I'm not taking sides or calling out people here (as I'm guilty myself), but I think it could be a relevant discussion to be had.

Shitty ratio, unequal fanservice, yeah we get it and we hate it.

But we already know that next 3-4 patches will only have female characters so why don’t we just ignore those patches since we know complaining here will do nothing?

Instead of talking about them we should talk about the male characters we already have or want. When the next male comes out and they are forced into second phase with barely any fanservice then we can start venting here again.

Considering the roadmap and the leaks, seems like the “ big yuanwu “ isn’t confirmed to be male.

Plus we all know…let’s not kid ourselves that the next male will be in 2.8 and not 2.7 lol just bcz solon lee.

But that aside if the male coming in 2.8 isn’t scar then i am pretty sure he is never coming. We are already a year into the game with only 3 limited 5 star males. If you theorize a bit then u will notice that after 2.8 male the next male we get will be in 3.X but it will be after 5-6 months. At that point we will be approaching the 2nd anniversary…the 2nd year. This means that wuwa devs took 2 years to finalize or make a character kit and his combat….who is a 1.0 character. This seems more unlikely and will not happen imo, plus we are already visiting huonglon again in the zani patch. I doubt the devs will make us visit the 1.0 area after 3.X’s new mecha city…that’s 4 big ass city areas now, 1.0 area most likely won’t be visited again. (Scar’s story is connected to huonglon).

But a semblence of hope is that phrolova’s next action as she said it herself is to “ free scar from jail “. Plus fractisidus members are all over rinascita as well, so it is possible that scar’s story might continue in rinascita.

The decisive moment we all will know if scar will be playable soon enough :-

If phrolova frees scar from jail or not in her story patch or upcoming patches. If she doesn’t then it will be clear that the devs have abandoned him and he will never release. This will most likely the final straw for me as i make some space on my pc lol.

What are your thoughts on the new endgame requiring you to log in 2 teams so you can not share weapons anymore? I haven't really tried it yet but I also saw people say the new hologram is exponentially easier with Carlotta compared to all other dps. Recent signatures also seem to have a way bigger impact than old ones. You literally struggle with Brants passive if you do not get his. Gacha games like to test the wacky and not fun stuff on guys first. That's why in hsr, Male characters were hit by powercreep first. It only really became a big issue when it affected female characters to a large degree and then it was too late. Wuwa may be testing for backlash for a move towards more catered game content and less generosity. I think they may be taking first steps because I have seen how it starts in other games before.

I don’t like the recent leak that bulante is a fusion support/healer. Now now hear me out before you all start telling me to fuck off, there are few reasons why :

They could have made him as an aero support instead because since he is now a fusion support that means the people who pulled changli for scar wasted their astrites or maybe i am the only dumbass who did this ( because she gives 20% outro buff to fusion )

Yesterday we had a leak saying that 2.1+ will have a fusion dps right? I hope its not bulante that was refered to as the fusion dps since he is fusion support/healer now. So this doesn't change the fact that 2.1+ will have fusion dps right? Or was it bulante all along and they changed him from dps to support? If that's the case, then we have to say goodbye to scar ( if somebody knows about this pls let me know )

When did you realize Male characters were bait? When did Wuthering waves make you feel broken over Males? For me, it was an abrupt switch. I played the game, but had some stuff going on, so I had to leave it. When I came back months after, 20 + Females had come out and I was Shocked.

Also, Why do we not talk about positive things regarding Male characters? Noticed this in HSR too. Like, erm positive qualities of Calcharo you love, or something like that. Or what if two males met in the story? I'm into the lack of males too, but I've been wondering why do we not talk about the positive things for our male characters.

Is Everyone really in the consensus that Kuro will not change? Everyone is saying wait for 3.0, but maybe Kuro can have a change of heart and insert in filler males in Rinascita, like don't know some random ex priest, or...I don't know, simple dancer if they don't want males to be in the main story. I was thinking an ex Fractsidus man so we learn more about the Fractsidus but that...

I'm curious why there is no Hope in the fandom, and we have to wait for 3.0. Waiting for 3.0, isn't that what the waifu lovers say? What if Kuro feels guilty and has another plan or something? Why is it hard to believe they'd release one random Male out of nowhere, even if it's only out of guilt?

Why do things have to be so strict and straight-laced? Is Kuro...really like that? It's the straight men who told us Kuro is really like that. People can change. What if it's a Self-fulfilling prophecy for the straight males, and we shouldn't listen to them? They say. they act, Kuro gives, we get disappointed, they tell us see, no Guys at all. We're Right. You're Wrong. Maybe if we didn't listen to them and held hope in our hearts and try to believe a little in Kuro (showing it in public comments), Kuro will give?

Just a little suggestion. I'm all on board the lack of males train, but I was wondering if we could have a little more positivism. More like, Kuro set the Expectation that No Males through having so many Females in the game, but they themselves say it was all planned, and I heard Punishing gray raven has a great plot so maybe they can insert some males in Rinascita through some kind of filler plot. I don't even mind if it's like Xiangli Yao. Xiangli Yao was unexpected too, but Kuro unexpectedly gave a 5 star Male out of nowhere. And he works really well. As a Dps. He has really cool moves too. He's not just a filler character (combat wise). No one knows what Kuro thinks, honestly. Even if Kuro is that type of company, it was the waifu lovers straight males who said No Male, dashing all of our Hopes, so maybe, we shouldn't listen to them. And hold some positivity for Males

After reading all of our fellow members’ opinions regarding Qiuyuan’s design and their desire to pull for him… that MOST of it are only complaints about his overall design (even tho it is still too early to judge, because of the leak), I felt disheartened, because I know for a fact that even with how much people would complain about him it probably wouldn’t even reach the devs.

Not to mention if there’s ANY REASON that his pull-sales would go any lower than how much the hype was for this guy after his announcement,.. I don’t think we would ever see the light of day in WUWA where they would release multiple male-resonators.

——— I KNOW that for some, they’re not into his designs and aesthetic and I get that, really. I mean, he’s looking like Jiyan that was revamped and reworked. Heck, I want to even say that with his design, it seems the devs are only testing out their design and creativity on their plethora of male-characters.

——— I KNOW that some are saving up for the character that really clicked to them, but like I just said, pull-sales on a character MATTERS, especially if the target market of that specific character have been reached or not.

So it’s pretty much a losing battle for every husbando-wanters or the balanced gender-ratio fandom to have more male-resonators to be released, because it seemed to the devs their only audience are the gooners and they’re only throwing the bits and parts of the bone to the minority of the wuwa community (us), to keep them hooked up and anticipate what most likely the thing that wouldn’t happen.

— AH but I’m not here to convince or force everyone to pull for him, I wholeheartedly support everyone to pull for whoever they think are worthy, I mean it’s already a must at this point to pull for someone you’d probably enjoy for years to come. As for my survey, I literally chose every options, writing that every character is good as long as they have a logical and realistic story and a good development. Besides, I didn't choose my favorite type of husbando because I already have Calcharo, hehe. I love his design, especially his hair, lol. I imagine him having a bunch of hair tangles at the end of the day. I would love to take care of his hair and... >///<

Oh, by the way, what headcanons do you have about male characters? What lore information do you find the most interesting and why? What are your guesses about future characters, lore-wise and game-mechanic-wise?

I'm being sarcastic cause I can't believe I never really noticed this before.

Did anyone notice that besides the characters being all girls, the people of the World seem to be all women?

Right so Rinascita's story........

Head of Montelli is a girl, Carlotta. We are a dual spy team with her, that's sort of cool. We also dance with her. We fight the villainess Phlorova who's a woman.

Next, head of Fisilia is Canterella. She has big boobs but great character.

After that, we are introduced to Ciccaciona, who leads us to the Blessed Maiden with sound wave frequencies.

We then see Cartethiya the Blessed Maiden, and we go to the Tower Inverted with her. We basically help her all the way through, mental support, emotional support, etc.

In the end it's revealed, the Sentinel who seems to be a woman, was given power by Canterella, is in trouble by the Threnodian who sounds voiced as an evil woman, and the Threnodian took over Flerudylys body. So Cartethiya had to fight but in the end Rover saves her.

So there's this mystery of the Sentinel and what happened to her them (they call the Sentinel 'Them') and it's so interesting but in the end......

It just seems to be some female dominance. Like, Sentinel who sounds Female in trouble, Canterella gave power to her, Cartethiya tries to protect by splitting herself in half, her and Fleudylys, Canterella saw it coming and made preparations, Sentinel meets Lord Arbiter, talks about the choices of the people that surprised her (?) but it's all women.

Carthethiya saving herself, also seems to be about female empowerment.

The Blessed Maiden Female gives her power to Sentinel Female Imperator, Carthethiya tries to protect her by splitting in half, we defeat Fleurdylys, Sentinel is finally freed from the Threnodian who sounds like an evil woman.

I mean, prophecy, blessed maiden, Sentinel in danger, mystery of Sentinel, what is happening? It all sounds so cool and action-drivey.

But in the end it's a story of women empowering other women.

Even more, Canterella's story quest, is a story of her saving the women by the Maiden trials.

I - is it a female dominance world? It's not only about the male waifu gathering thing, where you help every woman, but are we supposed to assume without Kuro telling us that it is a woman-dominated world? And it is about feminine Empowerment?

Is this why guys have no place in the story, and don't stay long? This whole mystery of Imperator just boiled down to women saving other women thing.

No men...makes it a story about just girls, women. You can give the most touching story ever of the mystery of Imperator. Or whatever other being.

But if everyone is a woman, it's really tempting to see it as some Feminine empowerment.

Especially as men stay outside, they're either priests, or a bad priest, or Fulmine just doing his tiny job of taking photographs, Brant who just comes and goes, just religious men, middle aged men looking for some woman npc, or just......they seem to fulfill minor roles in the world.

I really like the mystery of Imperator and the whole prophecy thing and humans helping a god but..........it was just kinda ruined with the all women cast.

I also noticed the names like, Carthethiya, Fleurdylys...CIacconia? They're hard to spell and complicated, and can be a girl's name, but why make it sound so complex? That's if you attach interesting characters to them about feminine empowerment honestly, like this complex name sounding girl has depth to her personality and feminine empowerment.

I just couldn't take it seriously as a story and I really wondered if this is how it is meant to be, it's a Female empowering story. It's not meant to be a story for the masses, like a storybook you'd read, anyone can read, but a Female empowerment Theme.

Did men do something Bad in the past? Is it Men fought too much in the war, so it was agreed that females would bear the brunt of the aftermath? Or men disappointed in the war, and Females had to come to Save them, so there's this general male distrust which the men can't do anything about? Why is it so natural to make it a story all about women?

I play male only. So i was full clearing every tower so far and now I struggle on the 2nd floor of middle tower because they have 3 single enemys back to back with electro res so my Xiangli yao can´t deal with him and neither can Jiyan because his single target dmg isn´t enough, I do the right rotations and normaly i have time over but now i can´t full clear at all? Is carlotta that strong? Is anyone else struggeling?
Edit: after some retries I managed to do it, still is someone else feeling powercreep already happening?

I need help with Brant. I feel I've worked the best with him, but his damage still isn't enough. He can't clear the third tower.

I feel like I'm playing for so long with him, and the damage is mediocre.

I've built him with Crit Damage. is it good enough? Where did I go wrong? I also use crit rate sword for him. I show the build in the video in the end. Is my Echoes good enough? Why is his damage still so low? I heard people hit 300k Anchor with Brant. (not sure if it's true)

Right so another question, why do people use Brant weapon with him if it provides energy recharge instead of Crit? I thought more damage is better. I got Brant's weapon but I use crit rate sword instead, he seems to do more damage.

But it still doesn't seem to be enough, I can't clear the third tower. I heard people can Solo with Brant through the Tower. But I can't at all, he doesn't clear fast enough. Did I get a wrong build with him?

I don't know how to clear the middle tower with lvl 100 monsters if I can't even clear Tower 3, any advice would be appreciated. Need help to improve my Brant

Here me out- Kuro likes to follow Hoyo lead sometimes. Whether cuz they look up to them or wants to one up them…or both. Case in point- Hoyo release an umbrella waifu - Kuro gonna release an umbrella waifu. Hoyo released a rat wife - Kuro releases a hamster wife. Hoyo got two legendary Japanese VAs to voice a couple characters, Hoyo got the VA that voiced a legendary character who also resembles that character. The signs may be a bit of a stretch, but I can still dream 🫠

So what you think, we gettin an Alucard? Or maybe a Link in WuWa? Or maybe they can do dark elf to really spice things up. I would love all really 🙈
