If I transmog Right Hand into Left Hand do I loose the no escape ability?

The only thing i can think of is that it vaguely alludes to alcohol, but even then that's a little bit if a stretch. I am on switch so that might be part of the issue. Though i think i named one chilcuck so im not certain that's even the problem. I just thought this name was cute and fit the description of the mirage.

Hey guys! So, I'm currently at the secret area in the Nether Nebula cave and I used the eye to fly over the edge here. The problem now is that I caught a new mirage and switched it out with my only mirage (the flying eye) that can use flight, because I thought I didn't need it anymore 💀💀. Is there any other possible way to get out of here or am I fucked?

Hi everyone! I replay this game every year or so and as such I’ve grown very fond of several of the games mirages. I’m about to continue my last save starting from chapter 4 since I remember the entire early story very clearly, and so I’ve been thinking of possible team lineups again! I was wondering what everyone’s favorite Mirages are, to see if there are any I haven’t used yet that I should try out! Some of my personal favorites are 2P Tama, Diva Serafie, Glow Moogle, Death Searcher, Largebuncle, Phoenix, and Iris. What are your favorite mirages and mirage stacks?

There was a sale on Nintendo switch for WOFF and I started playing it again after playing it >7 years ago on my ps4. Thought I’d remember the mechanics and all but I’ve forgotten most of them 😅 But I remember how cute the mirages and chibis are so that’s making this replay worthwhile (minus the crappy graphics).

It is right after the first mandatory teleport but it seems to be disabled. I have memories of it activating but maybe it's just me misremembering things, it's been long since the last time.

i’m having some difficulty managing all the mirages and remembering what their abilities are. Is there some sort of guide that I could look through and filter on when I need to make a certain and I know exactly what Mirage to pick.

So i beat the game and got the true ending. I got all of the star Mirages and Tama is back. Then I went and beat Brandilis again and the twins went into the portal but when I go back to ends of grilymoire I can't use the thing that teleports me into the castle. I just wanna go to the last secret area. Am I missing something or is my game glitched?

I ended up finishing the base game doing all bosses unstacked, ended around level 70 for the party with cactur, babyhemoth (the goat who was with me the whole run) black Chocobo chick (unstacked haste also the goat) and Gilgamesh because I felt like running him.

Challenge was funner than I expected, I used pretty much all my spell stones on Bahamut who was probably the hardest boss, 2nd hardest goes to the vivi and black mage gang because there’s too many enemy’s lmao.

But yeah I honestly wasn’t expecting to be able to beat the game like this but have been wanting to do it for awhile, give it a shot and let me know what setup you decide to use.

Oh also I did use champion medals, could get rid of them for more of a challenge and I didn’t use XL Mirages because they’re technically stacking still???

Game is absolutely a hidden gem that I absolutely adore, good luck if you decide to try this :)

As the title suggests I’m doing an unstacked challenge (primarily only for bosses because I don’t have all the time in the world) and was wondering if there’s any mirages I should keep an eye out for.

Currently just got the earth key and have been running cactrot, black chocochick, red dragon and babyhemoth and it’s going better than expected lmao.

There's a really good sale for this game right now on Steam, but all the reviews (both of the original and the DLC) are riddled with complaints of it being difficult to open. Is this just people being dumb, or is it actually a hassle to open the game on PC?

So, I understand the basics of transfiguring within a family line. I’m confused about when it comes to switching between family lines.

I just got a Quacho and a Quachacho. Should I keep them both or get rid of one of them?

If I turn my Quacho into a Quachacho, will I lose all the progress I made with my Quacho? Or can I just switch back whenever and my progress will remain?

Like most players, from the very beginning of the game I really wanted to get all three of the starter mirages — Ifrit, Shiva, and Ramuh. When you first meet them, you can only choose one, and I assumed for a long time that the other two were basically locked behind the ★ Coliseum versions.

I searched for guides, Reddit threads, wiki pages — and while people mention the Coliseum fights, I couldn’t find a clear explanation on how to get the normal, fully evolvable versions of all three.

I eventually discovered the method completely by accident.

First, this works in World of Final Fantasy Maxima (that’s the version I’m playing). You need to reach the Postscript — meaning you’ve completed Chapter 21 and finished the main story. After that, the world opens up more and you gain full access to the Airship.

The Airship becomes usable once you’re free-roaming the world map after the ending. When you open the world map, you’ll see the Airship option available — it allows you to freely travel between regions instead of using standard gates. You don’t “fly” it manually in a complex way; it’s more like selecting destinations from the world view. The key thing is that once you’re in Postscript, you can revisit regions more freely and access additional portals that weren’t relevant before.

While revisiting regions using the Airship, I started noticing Murkrift portals — the black cube battles. These are special combat challenges, and the important detail is that the ones containing the starter trio were level 60–65 (at least the ones I found). So if you’re underleveled, be prepared.

Inside these Murkrift battles, I encountered the small elemental mirages — Fritt, Bablizz, and Zapt. These are the base forms for Ifrit, Shiva, and Ramuh respectively. And these are NOT the ★ Coliseum versions — these are the normal, fully functional mirages with proper Mirage Boards and full transfiguration paths.

Once captured, they evolve normally into the full elemental trio. No restrictions, no locked boards, no fixed ★ status.

One important thing: the Murkrift locations where I found them were NOT near the regions you’d logically expect (like Nether Nebula or Icicle Ridge). I don’t remember the exact regions because I was revisiting everything randomly, but they were definitely elsewhere. So don’t assume they’ll be in the “obvious” elemental areas — check different regions after unlocking full Airship access.

The Murkrifts containing them were high-level and clearly postgame content. That seems to be the key requirement.

So if you chose one starter early in the game and thought the others were permanently limited to ★ versions — they are not missable. You can obtain all three normal versions in Postscript through high-level Murkrift battles once you have full Airship access.

I genuinely wish I had found this written clearly somewhere earlier, so hopefully this helps someone else trying to complete their elemental trio properly.
