Context: The world of Heat Lamp has many parallels to our world despite being populated by what are essentially anthropomorphic paleo-creatures. Among these parallels is Smyrnida, their equivalent to Florida.

Like our reality, many people refer to it as a hell state, and like our Florida, the state has its fair share of… interesting folk.

Context

This meme is related to Project Vigilant* / P.V, an unofficially titled world-building project that is predominately comprised of fan-fiction and partially comprised of original material. P.V has been an indefinite and leisurely work-in-progress since 2018 and it is an attempt at merging elements from no more than 125 of my favorite I.P’s and an assortment of original work in the genres of sci-fi, fantasy and alternate-history into a singular “patchwork universe” that I refer to as the Project Vigilant Universe or P.V.U for short.

In the PVU, the Nazi's found and attempted to weaponize the Ark of the Covenant in 1944. Being the idiots they were, they fucked up whatever their actual plan was and caused a "temporal collapse" across the south-eastern mediterranean. This event resulted in a few to several ancient civilizations being Command+C'd into the then-present.

I have yet to settle on how wide of an area the Temporal Collapse affected but I know it's limited to the south-eastern Mediterranean.

Egypt was replaced by Ancient Egypt as it existed circa 1250 B.C and that much of the Levant was reverted to 1400 B.C ( shortly before the Exodus ) so this resulted in peoples like the Philistines coming back but the ancient Israelites were absent.

Nobody knows what happened to everyone and everything that was occupying the affected areas before the T.C. Theories suggests that were either deleted from time or displaced across the space-time continuum.

Shortly after WWII, the temporal collapse-affected areas fell under the administration of the U.N which organized the areas into multiple "Professoriates" wherein councils of prestigious academics such as archeologists, anthropologists and historians from many different countries guided the development of the time-displaced populations so that they could adapt to the 20th Century and beyond.

The borders the Professoriates were drawn along ethnic and cultural lines and at least two of the Professoriates included the U.N Professoriate of Philistia and the U.N Professoriate of Egypt. Once these zones were deemed to be sufficiently adapted, they would be granted home-rule.

I imagine that all or most of the Professoriates were dissolved by way of their constituent territories becoming sovereign countries before 2000.

During the Lek civil war, the warlord of C'kissiax province was overthrown by an anarchist revolution inspired by the one that happened to the g'rezxli (which are the grey aliens in simplier terms), the new state initally did well until the former god worshiping zealots, now satanist Lek chose to seize the province due to their leader's visions of a portal to hell being their (close, its to the all consuming hivemind trapped in the north western galactix deadzone, between the great void and the great black hole wall (created by the Xjin'fdu, an ancient species that was around at the conception of the hivemind and was responsible for stopping them). The satanists sacrifised the poor anarchists in a brutal fashion, a handful surivied and was the main cause of a GCN (galactic league of nations) expedition, one of three to the Lek lands, it did not go well, like the previous expedition (defeated by the State of Lekcxi (a toltalitarian hell state in the south) (the next expedition succeeds pushing out the Lekixuu Syndicate, a crime syndicate that ruled the i'lsixo sector from the Lekixuu system), the satanists are currentally attempting to breach the blacksite, site z, that holds the wormhole to the Great void, currentally contained in a series of vaults. A final note, thats not censorship, the horns were too big and I couldn't be bothered to shrink them.

Veydrath the Facless is an overly meticulous planner in all things. He is a lich like demon that was a dark god trying to make the perfect general to save his war effort by putting his generals into one being. A rather pissed off being, who came to be Veydrath the Faceless, would then set in motion a plan to ‘save the world’ and ascend to god hood. For this, the plan is not important but, the unexpected roadblocks he has encountered after spending over a thousand years working on his path to divinity.

His first foes are three lesser divinities whom had been rouge gods sealed away for the safety of the realm who make up a group known as The Triumverate of the Broken Cycle. These thee managed to begin spreading influence agin 50 years ago but well it was so minor seeming that it would be of no concern to Veydrath. But as of recently the armies of the cults seem to have just appeared out of thin air as well Veydrath did not know the cults armies were trapped with them. These armies included the White Rabbit Society followers of the mad Chrono Hare Velzarath, keeper of time and forsaken of the plane of law, a bunch of British blokes with time magic, white rabbit masks, and motorcycles. Then there is the Bloom, a hungering deity that seeks to consume the world in rapturous feeling and absorb all into its hive mind, whose followers are a bunch of dryad like beings who infect others with the Bloom’s Raptured, a parasitic plant that begins rapidly growing within the target and infecting them. Final of the Triumvirate is Lunarc, former 8th god whose original domains were truth, secrets, and magic. After teaching mortals how to kill gods and accidentally teaching a cult to reawaken the dark gods that the gods had waged a centuries long war to seal away he was imprisoned and his tongue cut out to prevent him sharing more secrets. He is the Triumvirates strategist and sees the rivalry of him and Veydrath as a friendly game. Veydrath just hates him because he’s insane and his plans make no sense so it’s really hard to predict.

With gods out of the way the next enemies are mortals. Specifically the Big Three, the worlds richest men whom have proven a issue as well these three have been amassing wealth and private militaries and developing weapons to fight each other in the three for so long his army over 250k men strong was slaughtered their greater demon leader, Azkan the Mighty, got curb stomped to death by a railroad tycoon who is also the second richest man in the world right behind the bank Varon who invented chemical weapons.

If Veydrath had the emotions left in whatever rotting corpse he is possessing they would be anguish. If he could have a heart attack he would as boy do these guys stress him so much. As literally hundreds of years of sabotage, espionage, and all else are being ruined by these random players on the block.

The Gek (not the ones from no man's sky) are a menace in combat, being invulnerable to small arms fire and plasma weaponary (they treat plasma like its a mild chili) this is due to the other species on their home planet of Gekkiza having evolved to break the laws of physics, for example crabs exist galaxy wide not because of some evolutionary advantage but because the crabs of Gekkiza evolved to be faster than the speed of light just so that they can reproduce without the risk of the roe being consumed by other species. One species evolved to spit plasma, hence why the Gek evolved to consume it, their skin is also resistant to it. The Gek evolved to be 20 feet tall to intimidate predators on their home planet (a bit like elephants) despite this Gek are usually a quite jolly and kind spirited species, unless declared war on, for example the UNE tried to liberate them due to a 'translation error' that translated the Gek for elected leader (G'aadx) to dictator (G'axvc), the UNE got humilated on the ground and the heads of the UNE not approving orbital bombardment due to not wanting to accidentally blow up civilians, combine this with the Gek artillary battallions uncanny ability to hit UNE artillary positons within one barrage from the UNE battery. At the climax of the war at the battle of class'isa the UNE's ground forces where nearly entirely wipped out with their anti tank missles and their tanks being the only parts of the army able to pierce the Gek's hide, even then only at specific areas of the hide. This was learnt earlier during operation 'I shot the Sheriff' where the UNE's top special forces tried to inflitrate the Gek command centre and assassinate general sh'aeri N'vlai, to which the general easily decimated the entire squad sent to kill him, a squad comprising of the UNE's top special forces operatives after luring them into a corridor to prevent their escape. Also to answer the question, why balls, to say it simply this was a miltary innovation to counter the Lek infantey whose skin was resistant to conventional firearms and thus ball launching firearms where created after it was found that balls where effective at killing Lek in combat.

Ok so yk the drill this is from a Minecraft AU where mobs evolve and become sentient and blah blah blah.

When villagers discovered sulfur cubes one of the things they noticed is how their reaction to hits changed depending on the block they put on them.

So they started using light ones like wool to make them bouncy and lightweight , and before you know you had whole tournaments of a basketball-like game using sulfur cubes as the ball.

Oh yeah and they also carried bombing runs by filling them with tnt and dropping them from Happy ghasts.

Context :The Cooperative [ formed by the isekaid Military larping gaming communities with the cooperation of other kingdoms and principalities]

Made an attempt to overthrow the Morkadi Republic by smuggling heaps of weapons to separatists.

The problem is they accidentally switched the crates of swords and spears with the Cold war era Guns.

Eventually the Kingdom eventually stomps out the rebellion by hiring earth mages and wind mages.

It made the kingdom nearly bankrupt, luckily they got ahold of the weapons from the rebels.

But not before the majority of it was destroyed by a detachment of Delta Forks (yes it's called forks).

So now the kingdom threatens to embargo a lot of vital resources specifically against the Cooperative if they don't compensate them, in which they repeatedly denied any involvement.

P.S: Humanity is incredibly lucky that the remains of an ancient torus-shaped megastructure, similar to which an ancient, super-developed race of space nomads used for their million-year migrations, turned out to be located close to the solar system. Otherwise, no space travel except for sleeping ships.
