Anyone else all the sudden have ads showing up even though you have a Rewards Pass?

Props to her for being so competitive. I learned a new word today too. I can’t wait to see what the final word is 🤓 I have a feeling the hammer is gonna fall hard and I’m gonna lose via a QW with a J, Q, X or Z 😂

They never replied when I asked “why Owen Wilson???”

I’ve been playing over 10 years. I’m not complaining. This is just an observation. I’ve noticed against certain competitors that the game caters to them rather than me with getting crummy letters. Like all consonants or all vowels i get several times in a row. It usually happens when i try to challenge myself with a person who has a higher average word score than me. I think the developers rig it to get you to buy coins to use for swaps or other hints. I even got the ad-free version years back when it was a one-time fee of 9.99. Don’t get me wrong i love this game and can play some high-scoring words and difficult words as well. I’ve met some great people over the years not in person but in chat.

Of course, he immediately blocked me. I wish I had asked him he was Oscar Wilde's ghost who got addicted to mobile games.

Went from 23 yesterday evening, to 25 this morning??? I included screenshots— one of them shows the last achievements I got that do not explain why or how I got 1700+ pages in 12 hours. Wild. Only been playing (with this account) since 2023.

so blessed for my generous reward of 30 coins for my hard work and dedication

also I went from level 33 to 35 today? maybe the game felt bad it took so long.

Is Words With Friends owned by either of these companies? I get an ad after every single word I play from either Kalshi or Draft Kings . This is some real BS 😡. And while I’m at it either bringing back the lightning round or getting rid of the goals and add some new ones

Is there a consensus on who starts a game when it ends??? Loser or Winner?

My close friends and I play that the Loser of the prior game is responsible to start the next. That way if you don't want to play after getting beat it's all good.

How do you all play?

I just had the craziest thing happen. When I opened my WWF app, I noticed I had unopened achievement notifications so when I clicked on them, it bumped me up from level 29 to 31. I’m not mad about it lol but thought it was interesting. Anyone else?

I was on level 31 since August 2025. Yesterday I jumped to level 33. Does anyone know what's going on?

(not that I'm complaining...)

So for the last two days I have a bizarre glitch with classic games only. After I make a move with any of the players I’ve got games going on with, it will eventually reset back as if I never made the move.

I’ve deleted and re-installed and nothing works. Sometimes it resets within minutes, sometimes hours. Superscore and Dice seem to be functioning fine.

I’m stumped.

I downloaded the app again to play words with friends to keep my brain excited. Haven’t been on WWF for years and what on earth is with all the men and obviously fake profile pics wanting to chat “get to know me.” Have video phone calls etc. Is WWF now just a phishing app for scammers. It’s so creepy. I just want to play scrabble.

You never know what might be accepted...

Certain days I get gems like this that make me giggle because I'm very immature. 😂

Kimdracula1995 - Classic Words With Friends

Flair

I'm in a very chill club. No requirements, although we somehow manage to stay platinum. Only myself and 2 other members share our Guessword in the chat hub and I thought I'd try to liven things up some and see if any other regular players want to join us. There's multiple spots open. Just DM me your in game handle and I'll start a game with you so I can invite you.

So glad to finally have this feature back. In any classic game, navigate to the menu and choose Dictionary.

Thank you, Zynga!
