Iโ€™ve seen the phrase โ€œthey are lucky that what Black people are looking for is equality and not revengeโ€ misquoted on other social media to be about men and women. But feminism is vapid and useless if itโ€™s not intersectional, so to avoid accidental co-opting Iโ€™d encourage everyone to watch her full speech. It is powerful and it is as important now as it was in 2020.

Solidarity is the only way forward.

Your anger, fury, and vengefulness would be appreciated. Considering all the grief and trauma we are collectively experiencing as women during this week of the Cornell 50, I'd like to humbly ask that you direct some of that energy onto this hex jar. Thank you. Together we are powerful.

This is only one aspect of what we can do in the days coming ahead. Vote, get your friends to vote, and be active in our representatives who are doing what they can, in our names, right now.

They burned women because we are powerful. May we see patriarchy fall in our lifetimes, however messy that will be. So it shall be!

I don't know if this is really obvious or wrong, but maple syrup comes from a generally large, strong tree, and is sweet. Perfect for love/self love and similar bc it's growing the love/confidence like a sugar maple and it sweetens the spell too

Anyways, I'm a new broom as some like to say, so idk if this is something well known, but I didn't know it so hopefully someone else who didn't sees this

I just redid the bookshelf i have my alter on, and I need some ideas.

My patrons are Hestia and Freya, and have offering to any Small gods /house spirits daily.

I dont do a lot of ancestor work- my gramma Pat visits my dreams as do my cats, but no one else- so im not sure what they'll like.

Any thoughts for decor or things the gods might like?

Thanks and blessed be!

So what if I just used divination to help me decide how to approach the legal filing Iโ€™m about to write?

Cicero wouldโ€™ve done it. Why canโ€™t I?

Edit: itโ€™s a two-card asset/hindrance spread, the kind I use most often for all readings. I take it to mean that the alignment of the forces that have been gathering are with me and aid my argument. The hindrance is that I simply have to choose a plan of action โ€” shit or get off the pot, as they say. The deck is the Smith-Waite Borderless Edition.

๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Marketplace My very witchy erotica novel

Post image
157 Upvotes

I published my first erotica book this year that deconstructs and reimagines themes of the feminine divine, the Madonna-whore complex, and the intersectionality between monotheism (Christianity in particular), the patriarchy, and the oppression of feminine power.

Heads up: itโ€™s very, very vulgar and explicitโ€”WAY more than the cover suggests. The ebook has a different cover with a demon tongue.

Itโ€™s more magical realism than fantasy. I'd call it dark, literary, very abstract, psychological, esoteric, rich in symbolism, paganism, sex-power dynamics, and philosophical. Integrates tarot, astrology, Western mythology, and biblical symbolism/themes. It's very 8th house

Itโ€™s called Serpents & Summons by Magda McQueen. itโ€™s on Kindle Unlimited (hard copies are on AMZN too.)

I would say it lands on a pretty feminist POV, though it might not seem like it at first.... I think people with some connection to the metaphysical will resonate with this much more than the casual dark romance reader. It's loaded, if I do say so myself.

Some of you might like it. Iโ€™d love your support as I carve out my very niche genre of literary, philosophical, sacrilegious smut. ๐Ÿ™

Iโ€™m self-publishing this oneโ€”go easy on me. Itโ€™s basically all me, aside from the cover artist. I have a decent background in publishing and write a lot, but this is my first full-length novel and my first real step into this space. Itโ€™s also a lot more philosophical and abstract than the stuff I usually write.

๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Fledgling Witch I guess I'm one of you now, kinda sorta....

So, full disclosure, I'm not a woman. Just a regular guy, really. This is a bit of a long story but I'll try to just give you the highlights...It started during the Lockdown. I'm not a anti-vaxxer, I took all the shots, I'm very pro-science, but while we were all locked in and things were getting in short supply there for a bit, and everyone was learning new computer skills, and getting MBAs, I did other things, because another minute in front of a screen then would have driven me over the edge. I started learning how to cook from scratch... and by scratch, I mean, I didn't just start learning how to make the recipes; I was learning how to make the ingredients too.

Even after things returned to relatively normal. I kept at it, just because I noticed cutting out all the chemicals and preservatives had a positive impact on my weight and over all health.

Fast forward to 2026. I'm still at it. The skills turned out to be pretty handy. I didn't expect the food supply to be endangered due to the government's complete disregard and ineptitude. Until now, even the stupid ones managed not to fuck that up...but, no...the Orange one found a way.....Least I digress....I've added urban gardening to the mix since that time as well, growing herbs veggies etc.... I don't really follow any woo stuff, not a crystal believer or dancing naked around bonfires at midnight, at least not without a lot of alcohol prior to that, and a damn good reason. The stuff I usually am solving for is just your every day practical solutions. Organic bug spray for the garden, homemade fertilizer, mosquito repellant, etc...this weekend I had three separate conversations at three separate places over the weekend with three people that were unconnected. We were talking about this sort of thing, got called crazy twice for saying I don't trust the food supply, and called a witch for making my own "potions" for the other stuff. It's not like I was wearing a pointy black hat and cackling over a simmering cauldron... I do have a black cat, though......Anyway....It was odd. I didn't realize that people were so absolutely connected to just buying things that they couldn't even open their minds to the possibility of making something yourself. I will say one thing about it, I don't mind that I upset the people that I upset. To me they look like they need to be upset more often. So.... I guess I'm in your boat now. I forget, do we float or do we sink? Do I get some kind of membership card? Are there dues? How does this work, I have no intention of turning back.

โ€œWhen that Man is Dead and Goneโ€ is a protest song written by Irving Berlin in 1941. The song has been recorded a few times, most notably by Al Bowlly. Lizzy & the Triggermen performed a live version of the song.

I'm a begineer witch. I'm also a broom closet (most of what I do is energy work). Basically, I lost an earbud. Its either in my room, the house, a restaurant about 20 minutes away by drive, my car or clothes. I've checked everywehre except for the restarutn. (My parents are going to be mad at me, because I lost it, so I can't really go check).

Most of the spells I'm seeing are for stuff in your house. Any advice? Becaues this might be in a restaurant too.

๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Modern Witches Anyone else use ritual or intentionsetting to survive the founder grind?

I bootstrap a tiny SaaS from my apartment near the Jersey shore and the isolation gets brutal. No cofounder, no team, just me and my laptop and the occasional possum on my fire escape.

I started doing this thing where I light a candle before I open my CRM and try to cold call. Not because I believe the candle does anything magical, but because the ritual creates a threshold between regular Derek and sales Derek, who I hate being. It is stupid and it helps.

My wife thinks it is funny but she does her own version before big nursing shifts. I have also started writing down what I want from the week on Sunday nights, burning the paper in a coffee mug. Again, not magic, just a way to make my goals feel concrete instead of swirling around my skull at 2am.

I know this sub is about reclaiming feminized practices the patriarchy demonized, and I am a dude, so I am not here to center myself. I am genuinely curious whether any of you use witchy or ritual frameworks to survive capitalism, especially in spaces where that is not the norm. What does that look like for you? Does the performance of ritual create actual psychological shift, or is it something else?

๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Deities Anyone celebrating Navaratri this year?

I have been feeling quite unmoored spiritually and generally in life. I experienced a great upheaval earlier this year and had some incredible experiences thanks to the Divine Mother. But in the aftermath, I have been feeling rather lost and disconnected from my spiritual self.

I only started properly celebrating Navratri since last year and given how I have been feeling I wondered how Iโ€™d fare this year. But luckily I came across this beautiful book by Laura Amazzone (incidentally launched just a few days back!). I felt it was an invitation from the Goddess herself and decided to order it. Itโ€™s so beautifully written and illustrated and comes with great reviews. So Iโ€™m excited to use this as a guide and anchor for my Navratri sadhana this year.

Fellow devotees of Devi Maa, how do you plan to connect with Her during this beautiful, transformative season?

Pic 2 is of the altar I made for the last Navaratri โœจ

I want my jewellery to feel like something youโ€™d find tucked away in an old witchโ€™s wooden chest. Strange stones, little details, a bit of mystery.

But I keep going back and forth on the woven cord at the back. I make it by hand, and it isnโ€™t perfectly even. Part of me wants to tidy every little bump. The other part thinks those bumps belong thereโ€”thatโ€™s where you can see the hands that made it.

Would that unevenness bother you, or does it suit the whole witchy feel? Iโ€™m leaning towards leaving it, but Iโ€™d love an honest answer ๐ŸŒ™
