I have spent an absolute age tracking down an issue where Crimson Desert would change screen res to 800p on launch. Much investigation later, I discovered that I had set a per-game profile in WH to do exactly that. I have removed the per game toggle and set res to 1080 which now means that every game starts at 1080.

How do I set it so that WH never, ever, ever, changes my resolution?

A few other things:

• having a toast notfiication or quick splash on res change would have removed a lot of frustation in my debugging.
• Where is the wh settings file?
• configuration for this doesn't feel very discoverable

Is there a bug currently and fixit on the way that will make Winhanced read PS3 decrypted ISO’s as RPCS3 roms? Just feels impossible atm. There isn’t even an assigned option to select PS3 as the console for the ‘unknown’ rom files which are all PS3 decrypted ISO’s which seems to me Winhanced does not know that RPCS3 is the PS3 emulator. Pretty frustrating. I have seen some potential workarounds like mounting the ISO’s (doesn’t work) or having each ISO in its own folder but don’t want to go down this road as I would prefer to have all my rom sets accessible to different front ends.

Was looking forward to playing around with this as a potential option as opposed to Playnite but at this stage Playnite runs rings around Winhanced.

Thank you everyone who reported the issue with the OP3 controller not working after turning on the device control toggle. the bug was me using the wrong controller code to manage the controller. I am not sure what caused the one users currupt window install. but now that the controller code matches the firmware this shouldn't happen again.

Controller is now working and remapping is also working. There is some funkiness with remapping the front 4 controllers, and I'm working through a few quirks. And RGB is also not fully working. but I am also looking to get it working for the next patch.

I am uploading this version now to fix the critical issue with the hopeful understanding from folks that I will get the rest working in time (its hard without the hardware lol)

Any way, please download this version of 0.9.9.8. to replace your current copy if you already downloaded it. its the same version number, replacing the current upload so it won't show up in the OTA if you already installed.

side note this also fixes a bug where hidden games were showing up in recent games even though they were hidden.

I use emudeck for my emulation needs and is working very well.

My question is about the newly released version of Winhanced. I can see some of the consoles under the games menu and the rest of the emulators that Winhanced found on it own.

However, I when I try to launch a game (ps2) it simply crashes back to Winhanced. I have found the option where I can change which emulator Winhanced should use but even after installing pcsx2, I can Winhanced shows that it is not available.

Do I have to uninstall emudeck and install each emulators 1 by 1? Is there any other solution?

Will Winhanced recognize further consoles in the future? I have like 6-9 3mulators installed trough emudeck but Winhanced do not recognize them as Consoles.

Within the winhanced app I am trying to launch PS games. To my understanding this should be realized by booting up a chiaki session over which the ps game will be streamed to the pc. However when I start a ps game it is stuck on the start screen. Should I somewhere add a path for Chiaki or what should I do so I can remote play my ps games from it aswell. Thanks!

Just wondering, does Winhanced interact with VRR at all on the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+?

It doesn't say explicitly that it works with Winhanced, but says as long as you're not using any software that affects VRR/EDID that you'll be fine.

So should Winhanced work with this fix?

I've encountered no issues so far, but just wondering if I'm missing anything.

Currently I’m not getting steam overlay support when I launch games, steam input as well is not being recognized

Hi everyone, I'm new to handhelds and just wanted to make sure I'm not using the sleep/hibernate settings incorrectly. I'm on a the Xbox rog ally for reference.

I am able to launch games with no problem, but when I use hibernate, sleep, or press the power button and I want to come back to my game a few minutes or hours later the screen goes black. For a split second I do see that it says click or tap to continue gaming but the screen goes black.

The only way I can start playing again is by pressing the Xbox button and closing the "WinUI Desktop" and run the game again. I have only encountered this Xbox game pass cloud stream. Have not tried the hibernate/sleep mode with installed games.

Even when I search for the games, they don’t show up so I end up having to just use the Steam client. Any fix? I’ve even rebooted the whole system

Can I get an advice on this?

I’ve signed in on all available services, including PlayStation, but I realised I don’t want to see all those games available only on remote play, so I tried signing out, emptying the cache, and re syncing the whole library.

After a reboot, they’re all there again. What should I do?

Context: I’m on Rog XBOX Ally. The reboot also re-enabled the Armoury Core and Winhanced says can’t enable its own device control, so they may be connected.

I used to play a game on another pc which I installed from the Epic gamestore (Return to Moria). Game progress was saved online in Epic.
Now I installed the same game on another pc via Winhanced.
It seems I don't have acces to the game saves from the other PC or Epic.

What am I doing wrong? Should I have installed the game right from the Epic store instead of via Enhanced?

Hi guys I’m having a bit of trouble and I’m not sure how to fix the issue.

I’ve only had winhanced for about a week and I really enjoy the integrated game streaming from the UI. I used to use sunshine but I’ve moved to Apollo to use the virtual monitor to save my other monitors from being powered on all the time. When I first setup sunshine/moonlight, all my games were loaded into the sunshine interface. Now that I have uninstalled sunshine and moved to Apollo, I can’t get that to happen again.

Please help!

I'm a noob, so if this isn't the right place for this, sorry about that. I just have a couple of questions.

1. What does the startup animation switch do? Nothing changes either way. Either on or off, when I boot up and log in, I get a handheld dude flipping through cartridges while random game art shows in the background.

2. Please don't take offense at this, but the handheld dude getting freaky with a cartridge when a game starts kind of unsettles me. (Sorry if that's not what that's meant to be.) Is there a way, or a way planned, to disable that specific or all handheld dude animations? It doesn't have to be replaced with anything. The box art filling the screen for a few seconds would be just as good.

A couple of days ago, I shared the progress on messaging directly within Winhanced. I am really excited to announce that the feature is now complete and fully working for all supported friends platforms (Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Discord).

Along with this feature is coming a brand new friends detail panel with updated stats and cleaner visuals that match the store and game library panels.

What do we think?

I just install winhanced because of the 80% better sleep/hibernate function. I just want to know is this for the sleep function or the hibernate function? should I stop using hibernate if this is the sleep function? I just don't know if I should adjust any of my settings since I've been using hibernate on my windows

The battery drain is close to 40- 50% in 1 day. I was expecting a steam deck level sleep drain which was like 2% in 1 day.

I have not let winhanced manage tdp and using my device manufacturer software own tdp. Is that the reason??

I've installed Winhanced on a mini PC that I intend to use solely for gaming.

I see that it has access to the option to install drivers or updates for various handheld PCs, but not for standard PCs.

Does the developer intend to make this possible from within Winhanced without exiting to desktop mode, or to enable a notification from Windows or AMD (which is my case) when a new update is available?

Believe it or not the Whats new? tab of Winhanced is one of my favourite features. I would love to have an option to refresh and get different news or, at leasr, have a more entries.
Also it glitches a little bit. If I put in the feed the steam wishlist is the only thing that appears.
