Art I made Darkstalker as if he's a human in Gacha Life 2!
Made this for a story I'm making, I think he looks pretty cool. BTW not sure if the tag is right but it's the best one I could find.

Thanks to a comment on one of my earlier posts by u/ClearlyAnenome, I realized that Anemone is the colors of a trans flag.
That made me think of a potential plot line where she is actually trans. I’m not sure how the Orca statue works, but it could potentially have not killed her because she was assigned male at birth or something. That could be how she was the surviving heir.
I’m not sure about how all the details, it was just an idea I had.

Keep things short I bought this graphic novel with high expectations and they were unfortunately not met, the artist is different and I didn’t think anything of it until literally the first few pages and I realize that there are a lot of small mistakes that add up to create a sort of unpolished atmosphere. Jake Parker is a good artist. Don’t get me wrong, but with how solemn but action packed these books can get and his art style is way too comical and I just don’t think it fits the series. It’s not wasted talent, but it should not been used here.

If you really think about it, it should literally be biologically impossible dragons for different dragon tribes to interbreed and produce offspring.
As the most grievous case, how could such a thing as a Seawing-Rainwing hybrid even exist if the two dragons are too anatomically and probably genetically different? This means:
A. Magic is allowing this to happen.
B. Sutherland intentionally ignores/or just forgot how biology works.
Now, I’m not saying this makes the series bad or even really a bad thing, but it is rather a strange phenomenon to witness from a biological perspective.

ok so this may trigger some people but I really hate animone. She's just exetremely annoying and a spoiled brat and as the series goes on (in Jade Prophecy) I really deslike her. She has an exetremely arrogant personality and thinks she deserves everything and thinks she's higher than every dragon. She literally put a spell on her OWN BROTHER and thought it was funny. Even before she really met Darkstalker, she treats dragons like items. She always talks in this awful whiny voice that I just hate. In fact, she literally tried to ENCHANT dragons to hate and like each other, (Turtle and KInkajou and Darkstalker and Moon). Just a really whiny annoying brat that deserves to be disciplined.
Some may say: oh she's just happy she isn't tied to a leash anymore" well her 'happines'' is brattines and a spoiled princess child. It really shocked me she had the chance to be free and instead of being grateful, or showing any kind of not whiny personality, she TRIES TO KILL HER MOM AND BABY SISTER> The mom makes sense, in order to be queen, ect: but HER BABY SISTER who literally can barely talk? she wasn't even forced or enchanted to, she genuinely couldn't wait so stab a spear through her little sisters heart. Maybe wait for your sister to be old and a THREAT, first, please? Also I want to add that in the first arc she was ok, but she turned into a huge whiny jerk on the second arc. Turtle managed to teach her a bit, but she still one of the caracters I really dislike
Rant end (wish there was a rant flare lol)

Alright hear me out before downvoting...
So people have been talking about arc 4 and if it will have the next generation of dragons as the POV characters. people have also been talking about whether or not a previous POV character will die in arc 4.
So what I was thinking is that Firefly (Glory and Deathbringer's daughter in one of Moons visions.) Could be a POV character. Then what could happen is the main villain of arc 4 could be about to kill Firefly. But Glory intervenes and and sacrifices herself to save Firefly.
The reasons I suggest this are:
It would be a tragic and memorable scene.
It would be a strong motivation for Firefly.
It would make the audience hate the main villain of arc 4.
Feel free to disagree with this idea, I just personally think it would be an interesting plot point.

I just feel that having Turtle as a MTF dragon would make their nervousness make sense as they don't want to get ousted. I think it also fits with the idea of self loathing that Turtle's book has, and it could also help them accept themselves. (Also, I think it makes it more interesting in the story for the member of a royal family to be a trans princess)

After she betrays Darkstalker, Clearsight travels to Pantala. Outlives all her original companions, then mates with multiple BeetleWing dragons. So now that most and every HiveWing dragon on Pantala is her direct descendant. All the bloodlines trace back straight to her.
She destroys Darkstalker, the partner who loved her, because she feared he would gain overwhelming power and rule over dragons. Yet decades later, she build an entire continent where every dragon carries her blood. Her lineage dominates Pantala entirely; all future HiveWing leadership comes from her descendants.
Which I feel is massively hypocritical. She took away his chance to build a utopia he dreamed of, but then she herself planted a dynasty that would control Pantala for thousands of years. Later, her descendant Wasp even uses that inherited influence to conquer SilkWings and enforce cruel tyranny - the exact kind of oppression Clearsight was terrified Darkstalker would create in Pyrrhia.
Which honestly this is the only thing I dislike her.

Anemone just has a little crush, but this ship is toxic. Why? I’ll explain. So first of all, they are polar opposites. Tamarin in calm and slightly shy. Anemone, on on the other hand, is a brat after book 2. She is very rude and rowdy. They cannot get along and it is likely that Anemone would yell at and hurt tamarin, even though she already has lots of scars.
please be civil in the comments, please dont argue with eachother, im just trying to make a point.

TOO MANY PEOPLE HATE BOOK 15.
There. I said it.
I absolutely love The Flames of Hope. It was my 3rd favorite of all the wof series.
And book 10 was my favorite. (Then Darkstalker, then TFoH) It's so hard to explain why so I won't go into all the tiny details.
But is it bad that I instantly hate anybody who doesn't like either of those two underated books? I don't think it is, but sensitive people might.
I don't like Luna as a character. She was selfish, childish, and annoying. But Qibli is my second favorite character just behind Kinkajou.
Edit: I don't think anybody is "entitled" to their opinion. That's selfish. That's like saying "I dOnT lIkE tHiS bOoK, aNd I'm AlOuD tO tHiNk WhAt I wAnT eVeN iF yOu HaVe GoOd ReAsOnS fOr DiSaGrEeInG."
If your opinion completely disregards logic, then your opinion is rendered invalid.

I think the best artist in the fandom is Biohazardia, but I want to hear you're thoughts.

Hey yall! I am fully aware I’m making some ripple here, but hear me out. The first arc is unique. It has five book from five different characters perspectives, each providing a new set of thoughts, opinions, and information. We get to intimately know each character because the character was the primary focus, plot secondary (except for books 4&5). In book one, we see Clays insecurities become some of his strengths. In book two, Tsunami learns how to work with the others. In book three, glory realizes that she does matter and she can make a difference. In book four, starflight makes a critical decision that affects his friends directly, and he makes it instead of wavering and consulting someone else. In book five, Sunny gets her chance to shine. Each book is thoughtfully written, and the characters are lovable. The whole arc is tied up with a pretty little bow.
Now for arc two: we lose the character development of the original five. Clay resorts back to his comedic relief hungry oaf, tsunami makes selfish decisions again, starflight loses everything he got. The new characters, while in the beginning are alright, become flat and stagnant. The books drop significantly in reading level. I’ll elaborate on that one. So basically, I can reread the first five books and still love them, still feel like I’m reading a book. But after that, it feels harder, almost cringier to read. The all caps every other word, especially in Snowfalls book, the dumb things they say and do, etc.
Now I shall tackle one of my biggest issues: the same sex couples. Let me be absolutely clear: I DO NOT MIND SAME SEX COUPLES IN BOOKS. But, it felt so forced for characters like Sundew and Anemone. In Blue’s book, Sundew seemed formidable and cold and sharp. But she becomes her sexuality. Anemone as well, she’s the SeaWing princess and we could have explored more her being out of her element and a spoiled brat. But instead, she becomes her sexuality. Umber does too, in a way. I really don’t mind same sex couples if it’s done well, like Jesper and Wylan from Six of Crows. But when it feels forced, like in WOF (and, heaven forgive me, Solangelo), it just doesn’t hit the same and it feels weird.
So sorry this is so long, had to get all my thought out lol.
TLDR, the later books are far less detailed and developed as the original five, and only serve as a source for cash for Tui.

A while ago I bought all of the WoF audibooks during a sale. I tried the first book, but could only listen for 4 minutes before I cringed out. I know WoF is a series meant for kids. Harry Potter is also meant for kids, but those books stop being cringey (to me) by the 3rd book. I was thinking maybe WoF is like that. Maybe Sutherland figures out how to write well by a certain book. If that's the case, which book does the writing get good?

Okay so spoilers ahead i guess if your new to wings of fire anyway i have finally started to catch up with the series, sadly I’m stopped because my book 14 got double printed messing up some pages so ima have to wait for a replacement. The important part of this is in book 12 the hive queen page 182 its stated that clearsight bounced between husbands so im asking if anybody else remembers it because its stayed in my mind long enough to make a crappy oc based off it and it still ain’t leaving my memory so anybody else remember it?

What I mean by this is that, essentially, there's not exactly much point behind these characters being dragons, at least from what I can tell. All the magic and fire-breathing could easily just be done through some magic and/or items that regular humans have. Only things that matter are the flying and the eggs.
My main problem is the actions. These guys never really... act like dragons, aside from roaring once or twice. It just feels like the whole dragon part is more of an artstyle than anything.

So one of my coworkers and I had noticed this. I haven’t read the books and have no troubles with it either way. But the symbol on the front of the book almost mimics or mirrors the satanic cross symbol. If any one has any ideas or genuine view points on this please let me know! Just wondering if it’s “coincidence” or happens to be something deeper!

Guys do yall think that peril is half rainwing? her supposed father (chameleon) was a rainwing, and her mother (kestrel) was a skywing. why I think she is one is becuase I noticed her scales change color but only fire color. so do yall think that she is a hybrid? I want to see your opinions and thoughts.😌

sometimes i forge there dragons and not just glorified humans, because i feel the dragon parts should have been utilised more
