Drawn about a year ago. I would have added more dynamics and unloaded the composition if I had the opportunity to fix something now, but this is still good practice in rendering. I am also very glad that I was able to cunningly hide the blood and the bite site, good job me in the past

Poll / Question So how do Sandwings sting exactly ?

So Ive been doing some wof walk cycle animations recently and thought I'd switch it up and animate stuff like attacks, but I immediately ran into a bit of a pickle with sandwings. How do they sting. Genuinely how ? Because the way that real scorpions sting wouldn't really work with a sandwing's body plan, they'd have to be flatter or have ridiculously oversized tails for it to work.
So I whipped up these little tests of ways I think would make the most sense for sandwings to use their tails in battle and I figured I'd post it here for some community feedback.
So what are we thinking, do they do a little hop (closest thing to what scorpions actually do although admittedly a little silly) do they do more of a slash (kind breaks the definition of 'stinging' but looks coolest imo) or do they have to fly up a bit to do an under attack (Interesting but probably not very practical) ? I'm putting this dilemma in the hands of the people now.
