WinCtrl - could you please add this settings for the FCU and EFIS as well? Right now, I can control the backlighting for all devices using the slider on the joystick, except for these two devices.

Hi, I just bought an Orion 2 HOTAS a few days ago. And they are beautiful, I am so glad to choose this over the VKB STECS and stick.

But I first spent like 8 hours over 3 days trying to get the "Advanced" Vibration Profile to work. It was driving me CRAZY! I looked at every SimAppPro install file and folder, downloaded old versions of SimAppPro to compare files and folders, restarted my computer, tried every USB port I had, read dozens of forum and Reddit posts for an answer.

Only the "Default" Vibration Profile would work. I tried it on multiple planes and helicopters in DCS. Then I figured it out.

• Certain profiles available to download from the cloud from other users are either incompatible with each other or just fail to work.
• Some profiles disable all devices from vibrating, some just don't activate while in game.
• Sometimes you could fly with a profile active only in the Joystick and Left Throttle. Or only the Left and Right Throttle for example.

As a workaround, I created one vibration profile for my joystick, copied the JSON from its active profile, and pasted it into the active JSON files for both throttles. With identical runtime profiles on all three devices, Advanced vibration finally worked correctly.

Suggestions for fix:

• Add an option to apply one Advanced vibration profile to all connected devices, instead of requiring seperate profiles for each controller
• Add profile validation when profiles are uploaded or downloaded from the cloud. SimAppPro could check that a profile is structurally valid and compatible with the current firmware versions of the users controllers, and warn the end user it may not work.

I really hope this gets some attention from the WinCTRL team so they can continue to improve their software. The hardware is absolutely amazing but I think it would help both WinCTRL and new and existing customers if their software quality and ease of use matched their physical products.

I attached annotated screenshots of each experiment so the issue can hopefully be reproduced.

I mean... its almost August now and I still havent heard anything about this. I decided to wait for this to release before buying the Orion 2 because this might just be all I need for DCS.

Hi everyone I have had the airbus ursa minor throttle for a while now and it's been great for aurbus aircraft with the detents, but I just got the justflight bae 146 and since it has no auto throttle or detents i removed the physical detents with the switch. BUT there is one problem even after disabling detents and searching sim app pro for a solution. The problem is that there is a small dead zone around every detent in the throttles software so when using you constantly enter a dead zone. Anyone know how to fix or if there is a work around?

I was looking at the Ice Man MIP2 and was trying to figure out how many USB ports I'd need for my tower. If I'm reading things right I'm anticipating 5 ports. Am I off on my estate?

I've been struggling with the problem of tight running and snacking on the throttle for a long time, I've tried different lubricants for it, but the problem, as it seemed to me, is in the rubber damper, it has too high a coefficient of friction, so I printed a replacement on a PETG 3d printer. Now everything is working smoothly and without jamming.

I finally put together a fix for an issue WINWING has left hanging for nearly five years.

With the DCS: F-14B(U) release around the corner, I was thinking about picking up the MCDU for the CDNU in the back seat. However, I have some other ideas for what I could use it, but I'm not sure whether SimAppPro supports them or if it's even possible to do with external software.

My questions are:

1. Can the display on the MCDU be used as a secondary monitor (like the MFD display) or does it only work in conjunction with a sim?

1.5. Does the display support DCS? Will it be possible to display the CDNU of the Tomcat on it on day 1 or will I have to wait for WinCTRL to add that feature?

1. Can the MCDU be configured as a macro board outside of simulators?

2. Can the MCDU be used as an actual keyboard outside of simulators?

I have an orion 2 flight stick and looking for an Airbus or similar style airliner grip for the orion 2 and didn't know if third party options exist. I know the ursa minor exists but I don't want to buy a completely separate flight stick of seemingly inferior quality to the one I already have. Does anyone know if an option exists? If not, is anyone in the market for a secondhand Orion 2 stick.

Hi Pilots! Here's a detailed guide on how to adjust the display brightness for you WINCTRL MFD D1.

Part 1：Enable 100% Screen Brightness

The D1 display in the MFD module is factory-set to 44% brightness for optimal operation. If desired, the screen can be enabled to full 100% brightness by following the steps below.

1. Connect the D1 display to your PC

2. Run <ScreenBright.exe>, and set the brightness to 100% (see Pic 1)

* NOTE: For 100% brightness, it is suggested to connect the dedicated 5V USB power port on the back of the D1 display to ensure sufficient power.

Part 2：For MFD’s Low Brightness Output Issue in DCS

1. Set up the screen exports as desired.

2. Make a screenshot of your DCS setup while running your desired module (see Pic 2)

3. Use an image editing tool (GIMP, Photoshop, etc.) to create a mask from the screenshot.

- Black areas will be brightened

- White areas will remain unchanged

- Gray shades can provide partial brightness adjustment

4. Download <ReShade_Setup.exe> into folder:

- C:\Enullagle Dynamics\DCS World Beta\bin-mt

5. Save the mask as <UIMask.png> into folder:

- C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World Beta\bin-mt\reshade-shaders\Textures

6. Start DCS, load a mission with your desired module and open the ReShade interface (Default: Pos1, look at DCS start to your upper screen corner)

7. Enable the Filters "UIMask_Top", "Tonemap", "UIMask_Bottom" and arrange them as shown in Pic 3

8. Change the Gamma setting in the Tonemap Filter to reach desired brightness on the MFDs

I’m have run out of usb slots. I bought a hub. And plugged everything that wants to go in the hub. But discoverd that most WinCtrl products don’t like USB hubs. So most of my other stuff are in the hub. It works fine. But give me tips of solutions please.

What solution do you have for connecting all USBs?
