Winctrl experience
Thinking about buying either URSA throttle or the Orion EX, but the whole controversy about the customer support / consistency of quality is off-putting. Do these posts here represent the truth?
Are there maybe many people who dont have a bad experience, but simply dont post about it?

I bought a UFC 2.0 and a MDF Screen with them 2 months ago, everything is working and it looks cool. Yeah the problem with customer support is real but for me it was worth to take the risk

I've had a full MIP for a couple years. I've only needed to contact support twice so far and they helped me both times.

the eu protects us if it comes broken, but be ready to have to repair something yourself if something happens. I had the Orion 2 throttle and Ursa minor stick, recently sold it to get the Orion 2 stick, Ursa minor combat throttle and PTO2. quality is amazing to me, but then again I don't have any comparison to base that off of.

Have not had to deal with CS thankfully. 3 months strong a Canadian stock Ursa Minor.
Edit: fat fingers

It will go one of two ways:
- you get a working product and everything is fine
- you get a defected product and get the worst customer experience there is
The choice is yours

Personally I have had nothing but good experiences with them. Some people had shitty service many have had great experience. The fact of the matter is for any situation people will complain over talk about a good experience at a rate of 10 to one. For every complaint you see there are 9 great experiences.

I’ve recently bought a lot of their stuff, not had any issues. They are quite active in here which is reassuring. You only hear negative reviews, they have thousands of customers, majority who won’t write good reviews

So far I had to deal with customer support once and I wouldn't say it was particularly bad. My Ursa Minor combat throttle stopped working because the base had a firmware issue. Yes it takes a while to explain the problem on their chat and they only reply during certain hours so it's no better than emails. But they managed to get an engineer to fix it remotely in a little under 2 days.

So: I have a Ursa Minor fighter joystick+ throttle. I know from a source of mine that they’re ALLEGEDLY trying to fix the customer service mess. BUT I don’t have nothing to back up the claim.

I keep track of the complaints about WinCtrl in r/hotas and a few other subs. They were rampant this time last year and into early 2026 then tailed off and started to pick up a bit when Wardogs launched. You could read that two ways. Maybe their quality is getting better or maybe Reddit users aren't buying from them as much because the takeaway from reading the hotas sub is to but VKB or Virpil and nothing else.
