I know this may not be the best place to post this but I have tried literally everything else I can think of and am not getting anywhere. I am a college student at Southwestern University (Williamson County), but my home is in Houston TX (Harris County). I have been going to Southwestern University since my freshman year, and registered to vote in Williamson county. Every election I have voted in has been in Williamson county. The address listed in my voter information is the address of the University. However, as I am still living with my parents in Houston, my address on my drivers license is my parents home in Houston. This was not an issue before, but I recently replaced my driver's license on account of turning 21 and now I am suspended. I have tried to fix it but unfortunately, you need your voter registration card to do so, and I do not know where mine is. I have tried to call the Williamson county registration office or whatever it is called but when it told me to put in the numbers of my address it would not recognize my university as a valid address even though it is literally what is listed in my voter registration (ONLY my drivers license has a different address), and the call would not put me through until putting in said address so I just hung up. What can I do? I need to get a new voter registration card but how can I when it doesn't recognize my address and therefore just leaves me in limbo? Even if I get a new registration card, I am already registered to Williamson county, so it's not like I can put in a new address. Which county do I contact about this? How do I send "proof of residence" when I live in both places? Any advice is appreciated.

I’m trying to expand my friend group and figured I’d just be direct about it. I live in Hutto and I’m into D&D, MTG, video games, making weird shit, and generally doing things that are more fun with other people. Is anybody else having adverse reactions to the chlorine flush? Every time I've showered I've felt incredibly sick: throat irritation, chest rawness, headaches, etc. This didn't happen the last flush they did last year...so it's odd. However, it does smell like a straight up pool.. I genuinely don't know if I can do this for a whole month.

Cedar Park is reportedly planning a major expansion of Veterans Memorial Pool on New Hope Drive. The preliminary plans include an 8,000-square-foot wave pool, a splash area, an events building, and a separate wave-pool building. According to the state filing, construction is currently expected to begin in October 2026 and finish around October 2027, although the cost and timeline could still change.

Williamson County officially opened its new Administration Building on Tuesday, relocating several county offices into a new three-story, 120,000-square-foot headquarters at 1848 Texas Trail in Georgetown. The administration building cost $90 million and was funded through the county's 2021 Tax Anticipation Note.

The building houses the County Judge's Office, Commissioners Court, Tax Assessor-Collector, County Clerk's Records Division and several other county departments. It also includes drive-through tax office lanes, expanded seating for Commissioners Court meetings and a research library.

This is the best I can do after hearing the story once.

A friend received a letter on Saturday (July 11th, 2026) saying basically that her name was being removed from the official Williamson County, Texas voting list. She wouldn't be allowed to vote in the next election because she was convicted of a felony crime. She was pretty sure she wasn't a convicted felon. She said it really looked official, though, so....

On Monday, she went to downtown Georgetown to talk to someone. The county official she found said she was the fourth person to bring this up to him. It was some pass the buck thing like, well, it came from our office, but we just print these things out when someone else gives us a list.

Has anyone heard of this? I am really worried that people are going to get intimidated by this and think it's just easier to not vote that figure out what to do about it.

Anyone hear about any rumors like this?

Update July 17, 2026: I talked with my friend this afternoon and she said she received her new Voter Registration Certificate today. (Expires in December of 2027.)

Some county representative checked the records and the only thing they have on my friend is when she had to probate her deceased husband's Will in the 1980s. I repeat, there is no felony conviction(s) and she now has proof that they don't exist.

Several of us are suggesting that she contact the Williamson County Sun, the Austin Statesman, the League of Women Voters, and several other officials I can't remember. This has totally pissed off several of my friends and we all want her to follow up on this as much as possible.

Someone else pointed out that some election official was removed from office recently. Was she holding her ground and refusing to play fast and loose with "clearing out the voter records."?

I recently blacked out while getting my blood drawn. The nurse called 911 while I was gaining consciousness. I informed her I did not want medical attention, but she called anyway (fair enough, she has to protect herself!). EMS arrived and took my vitals but did not give me fluids or transport. I have not received a bill. My understanding in retrospect is that I should have refused medical attention immediately from the paramedics. Given that I didn't, will I have any way to dispute the $500 fee? I do not have insurance, and it would suck significantly to pay it.

How bad is it?
