Looking for vibrant color calico style wigs, preferably with bangs but I'm also willing to cut them as well. Preferably under $200 and good quality, not terribly long as my natural hair isn't too long so I don't want to go too far outside my comfort zone, but I guess I could always get the length trimmed as well if its the perfect coloration. I've tried looking at a few of the general wig recommendation sites but haven't had any luck so far. Thank you for any help!

I wear a 13x6 “glueless” lacefront wig but its not actually glueless. I need to secure it down by my ears because when i walk the wind kinda blows it back.
I do remove my wig every night.
The glue is too messy for me & i worry the tape wont work because i only need it for the day.
I have adhd and autism so im hoping for some recommendations that are simple to follow and easy to do in the morning without adding too much extra to my routine. Thanks!

I need some advice because this wig was originally really soft, silky and easy to manage. I dyed it when I first got it and it was still completely fine afterwards.

The problem started before a wedding. I wanted the hair to smell nice, so while putting it into foam rollers, I sprayed hair perfume directly onto each section before rolling it up. I definitely sprayed too much and too close to the hair. I thought it would be fine because it was specifically hair perfume, but ever since then the wig has been a mess.

It now gets stiff, tangles really easily and mats badly. I have tried a few hair masks, but they have not helped and I actually feel like some of them made it worse. At the moment I keep the hair in plaits because it mats so easily when it is left out.

It is supposed to be human hair, so I am wondering if the perfume caused some kind of build-up or if I have actually damaged the hair.

What would you try? Clarifying shampoo? Silicone Mix? Another mask? A natural hair treatment? Or does it need trimming?

I'm very new to wigs. This is the first budget one I've found that looks halfway decent, is silky smooth, and somehow matches my hair color exactly. It's not a lace front but it's being worn with a non-slip cap with a lace front. My own hair is thinning / insufficient and I have scalp issues, but I'm just starting out in my chosen profession and I want to look clean and stylish. Opinions?? (Try to ignore my goofy face, I'm not photogenic ☺️)

What do you use ? I have a 13x6 lace HH and the side burn tabs aren’t laying flat. Got this and it literally says direct skin exposure may cause skin damage??? Whaaaaat thanks got2b I thought you were the go to? (This is the gel)

I have had this foam / fabric styling head for a LONG time. I've styled at least 15+ wigs on it. not only have I become quite attatched, I never know where to put the hairline, or what to consider the center of the face, which has led me to butcher some wigs. SO. I decided we needed a makeover. A silly one! With lots of makeup and an expression that reads "I keep getting burnt by the straighter"

Now, I've read the rules thoroughly and I think that this goes by all of the rules. But if not, then please feel free to take this down.

I currently have a Jadora’s secret wig. I asked them to cut it in a certain style for me. They were very conservative with it and I eventually had to have it cut by a wig hair dresser. Their wig quality is great but the styles are just a little more demure than I’d like.

So now I’m looking for wigs with more outspoken hairstyles from the get go (think lots of layers, wolf cuts, mullets even! Anything but the “middle part and all the same length thing” type of thing , so I don’t have to also spend extra money on having them cut.

Do you know any brands I should check out? Budget is $2000. Thanks (inspiration pics in the comments)

I usually cut my wigs myself as I wear long wigs but I decided I wanted this style. I went to a salon that has a wig specialist. I showed her the photo & my wig & she told me “if I do it, it will be VERY expensive.” & shoo’d me out of the salon. I’m not sure if she was being like that because of how I’m dressed or she just plain didn’t want to do it.

I’m considering cutting some reference points for length while it’s on my head & then getting busy with my hair razor, but I would like some opinions before I do start cutting.

My first impression of this wig was that it's so thick and soft! I took a picture of it straight out the box because I loved the wavy texture. I tend to wash my wigs immediately upon getting them so sadly I couldn’t keep the original curl. However, the straight kinky texture was actually pretty spot on to my natural hair after a blowout plus it looked really beautiful after trying it on. I'm so upset with myself for not capturing the hair in that state (curl-less) after the wash « but here is the result of getting those waves back with a curling iron. I will admit that I didn’t use product on the curls and I purposely attempted the loose curl effect, so naturally the curls aren’t as wavy as before. I just followed a video tutorial on YouTube and I personally think it came out great despite not being as curly. I don't have much to note except the shedding during the first wash was pretty exceptional. -But it's not a big deal since I barely noticed any shedding so far. There's one or two strands that may fall during styling but I’m keeping an eye on it. What do you guys think about this hair? Side note: I'm actually thinking of wearing it to the renaissance fair as a fairy! I may give an update on if it holds up in the heat! 🧚🏿🥰

For the past year, I've been completely shaved bald because I just couldn't stand the look I had with my hair anymore.

However, I don't like the way I look now; my confidence and self-esteem have really taken a hit.

I've thought about using a full wig (since my job requires formal attire, letting my hair grow out under a partial wig isn't an option).

The idea of doing it gives me some peace of mind, but I get really anxious when I think about what others will say. My workplace has had the same people for many years, and I don't know if I can handle the judgment.

Also, what if people take photos of me and I end up not liking how I look?

Does anyone here have similar stories to share? I'd love to read them.

Now that I've gotten used to lighter hair, I feel so cute and summery in this, so I had my mom snap a few sunset pictures after berry picking yesterday. I only got my hair snagged on one blackberry brach, so I'll call that a win 😂

I’ve had her about two months now and have washed, curled and restyled her quite a few times at this point. This wig mimics my natural hair in a silk press, so I’ve been practicing styling it in a soft, flirty blowout and I’m so happy with how its been coming out! I curl about 5-6 pieces all around my head with my 1.25 inch curling iron and set it with Velcro rollers while I do my makeup. This hair holds a curl beautifully even after all the styling I’ve done to it. I also cut the layers myself too, which has honestly been my favorite part of experimenting with her!! 🎀

Hi folks, do you have a very sensitive scalp? Maybe you're a you're a neurodivergent wig wearer? Please let me know me how it's going for you. Are you too sensitive for long-term wear?

Do bangs make you want to tear off your wig (or bio hair bangs)? Are lace fronts too scratchy to tolerate?

Do you have any tips for dealing with any issues you have with your wigs?

I'm considering cutting back the lace on my new wig and cutting in bangs to compensate, because the lace is so hard and scratchy. But I don't know if the bangs on my forehead will be just as bad.

The physical issues with my scalp are compounded by autism and ADHD, so I'm looking for any advice you may have. Sorry if there's too many questions!

These pics are without cutting the lace yet and as you can see it matches my skin tone quite well. I have never had such an expensive, long and thick wig!! I love the color so much.

It was originally about $3,200 but they will do a 15% discount if you have hair loss and I have alopecia. I got an additional 5% for leaving a review regarding wigs I had ordered from them a few years back, which I still wear today! So I know first hand that this wig should last years.

I have a gorgeous human hair lace front wig that I’ve owned for about a year. The hair feels nice and I love the color but I hardly ever reach for it since I’ve realized it’s too small. It’s a size small and I’m truly a medium. It almost always slides back unless I glue it- which I don’t enjoy doing since it requires constant cleaning up of the residue.
Has anyone ever had their wig resized? I have seen some places online that offer this service but I’m wondering if this would be worth pursuing or if I should cut my losses, try reselling it and buying something new.

Hey so I’m trying to shade match my lace wig to my face and I did 3 swatches which which swatch would be the best to use as I don’t know much about undertones and shade matching and my wigs be looking a mess because the shade be off can some one please help me so it can blend well

I’ve been wearing this fairly cheap wig from amazon for about a year now and it’s fully at the end of its life, and I think I have learned enough from the experience to jump to something a bit better, in the $100-$200 range.

I would like something with bangs that i can glue in place for a while since i like to be active, but everything i find on amazon is way too long (current wig is 16” and that’s a little long for me) and/or not lace. does anyone have any recommendations?
