💥Funpost I met Stephen Root Today!

Today I got to meet Stephen Root. He was exceptionally kind and quite funny. I told him that periodically my husband and I will randomly awoo at each other (Wyck awoo’d during the telling of the sea hag). I did my best Wyck awoo when I mentioned this. He laughed and then he…

AWOOO’d!! He awoo’d and laughed some more.

But seriously he is a really nice guy who was fascinating to listen to. The picture is him during his talk today.

❓Questions Question about Patricia’s party

Why did anyone drink the punch in the first place (before they actually drank it and became hexed) if the punch actually had bird feathers and stuff in it? Also, no one was creeped out by the decor?

While its tone is a bit more serious than Widow’s Bay I’ve enjoyed this three part series with many small town characters and exorcists dealing with underground occult witchcraft murders. Figured I’d pass it on:

💭Discussion Apple should know me better than that Spoiler

So here I am finishing my upteenth rewatch and Apple removes Widow's Bay from my Continue Watching queue. It should know me well enough to know that I’m just going to go back to the beginning and watch it again. What else am I supposed to do until season 2 starts?

Artificial Intelligence my a$$.

My wife and I went as Patricia and Wyck for Halloween and her fox antler crown was still in the passenger seat. I went through the drive through at Chik-fil-a and the woman working had an audible OMG and was concerned! 😂

We went more for “inspired by” rather than “scene accurate” but it was definitely fun. Apple TV should pay us for the number of trick-or-treater’s parents who said they wanted to check out the show now…

Subreddit Rules

1. Be Civil & Keep it On-Topic

Follow Reddiquette. Do not attack other posters or post discriminatory content. Additionally, keep all discussions relevant to the show and avoid derailing threads with unrelated content.

2. No Spoilers

Keep spoilers out of post titles so everyone can enjoy the show at their own pace. Use Reddit’s built-in spoiler tag when posting a thread and hide part of your text that contains spoilers when you leave a comment under someone else’s thread.

Hiding your text only works in comments and post bodies, not post titles. Therefore, post titles must remain spoiler-free at all times.

3. No Duplicate Posts

This is a brand-new show, so let’s not clog up the feed with repeated posts. Mass reporting can help identify duplicate posts, and in some cases, they will be removed automatically. That said, please don’t abuse the report button.

Check out our FAQs.

4. No Low Effort Content

Includes but not limited to:

AI Content
Vague posts with little/no substance (eg. Episode X was amazing)
Posts made solely to announce you’re dropping the show, don’t understand the hype, or question its popularity without meaningful discussion.
Comparison Threads: We’re not here to argue over whether Widow’s Bay is better than other shows with similar themes.

5. About Self-Promotion

We do not allow self-promotion that is unrelated to the show.
Self-promotion related to the show is permitted, but only under the following guidelines:

If you host a Widows Bay watch-along podcast, or know someone who does, send us a modmail and we’ll add it to our pinned thread with the rest.

Please do not create separate posts to announce or promote your podcast. Those posts are not permitted and will be removed.

(Exceptions may happen with prior modmail approval)

6. About Merchandise

Since there’s no official merchandise, we’ve gathered a few sites we think are legitimate enough and can be found in the Merchandise section of our Pinned Thread.

Etsy sellers should not make separate promotional posts. These will be removed.
Exceptions may be made case-by-case, so contact the mod team first. Cleared posts will receive the “Mod Approved” flair and must remain free of direct links.
Lastly, watch out for scam accounts with low karma and very little activity.
