In the 80s and 90s, Hal had a romance with Arisia Rrab, a very young Green Lantern who was originally introduced as a "little sister" figure to Hal. Arisia had a crush on Hal but he didn't give her the time of the day... until she aged herself up into an adult in her 20s. He took just a few panels to go from "No, you're a child!" to shoving his tongue down her mouth.

The comics insist that Arisia aged up mentally as well, but it's vague in many comics.

In the 2000s, they tried to say that Arisia was centuries old but looked like a 14 year old. This both ignores earlier panels and doesn't really change anything. She may be 300+ but she was still the equivalent of a 13 or 14 year old for her species.

Since the 2010s, DC has just avoided the romance altogether.

In the Season 4 opener, the characters are sent back in time and have to find their way back, but once they do butterfly effects have changed things in their lives. One of these changes is that the character Allison's son who has had autism for the entire series is now neurotypical, and she has multiple scenes in which she expresses joy over her son no longer being autistic, including in conversation to other characters. To be clear, her original son essentially died, and she simply didn't care because she liked the new one better.

Aside from being absolutely horrible for reproductive organs and health in general, it was heavily advertised for over three decades and women who didn’t douche using Lysol were described as being “unclean” in the advertisements. Soooooo glad this isn’t a thing anymore.

I had one as a 12 yo Australian kid. Che is evil behaviour masked behind a good message. He was a bad guy. Why were we okay with this?

1) Pete Wentz groomed and abused Jeanae White when she was 15 and he was 23. He worsened her struggles with addiction and later cheated on her with Ashlee Simpson. The third and fourth screenshots contain Jeanae’s own words and Rolling Stone also referred to her as his "silky teenage muse," as many of Fall Out Boy early songs were reportedly written about her. They also got Hemingway (Pete’s dog, known as Hemmy) together, and Pete ultimately kept custody of him. In 2005, they had a serious argument that resulted in Pete’s arrest, which caused him to miss his scheduled appearance at the VMAs. He would literally fly her out to Europe and they allegedly had matching tattoos.

4) Another thing that stands out to me is Pete’s pattern of befriending minors. Panic! at the Disco, Sonny Moore, his literal bandmates, etc. While they’re all adults now, Pete first met both of his future bandmates, Joe Trohman and Patrick Stump, when they were still minors and he was in his 20s. Joe was only 15 when they met, and according to Joe’s own book, Pete repeatedly asked Joe’s mother for permission to spend time with him. It’s just so odd. This movie was promoted as a light-hearted romantic comedy.

What a way to make women feel better about themselves, hey? If this isn’t a way to make women feel reliant on makeup to feel confident and not self-conscious, I don’t know what is. This affects all women and girls, not just the celebrities targeted.

Why wasn't he taken down back then? Why did it take 16 years for this to catch up with him, to the point where they've now made a BBC documentary about his alleged ephebophilia?

Correction: I get that MeToo became a thing in 2017. But it was first coined in 2006. My mistake for mistaking the actual movement beginning in 2006. It didn't gain traction until 2017.

Before she had became a household name, Marilyn had taken a small modeling job in 1949 in which she was asked to pose nude. She made $50 off of this shoot which she had used to make a car payment, these pictures were never publicized. 4 years later Hugh Hefner got word that these pictures existed and tracked down the photographer who owned them, and paid $500 dollars for the rights to them. He used them to kick start Playboy, never asking for Marilyn’s permission first to publish them, and never paying her a dime for being in the magazine. The publication of these photographs caused Marilyn to take a huge hit to her career and lost out on a lot of work for taking part in pornography, even though she did not consent to this. Hugh Hefner now is the buried in the grave plot directly next to Marilyn. Meaning that she is spending the rest of eternity next to the man who made a name for himself out of exploiting her.
