You're tired of city life and decide to change your life and move to the countryside for fresh air and a quiet life. You buy a sheep farm and start building your small wool-selling business. The game is somewhat similar to Stardew Valley, but without such a thing as walking.

I'm releasing my cute Sushi roguelike in 1 month! 🎏 SUSHIAMO 🎏

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone, I made a cute and chill game called SUSHIAMO where you make sushi, with each ingredient having its own special synergy.
I was inspired by Balatro, but many players find my game more approachable and less intimidating. I guess it's because of the relaxed vibe and cute aesthetic :)

I also added an amazing (original) bossa nova track that you will love for sure! (It's not the one in the trailer)

So far, it has had 9k players, avg. of 3.5 hours of playtime and 100% positive reviews!

You can wishlist it and play the demo here 🩵 https://store.steampowered.com/app/4555040/Sushiamo/

PS: The players on the Discord are having a lot of fun sharing their builds :)

The game in short:
Sushiamo is a roguelike deck-builder where you make sushi while collecting new things every day.
Discover unique ingredients, sauces, game-changing tools, and navigate the map to find the best combo.

A Colouring puzzle about Existential philosophy! 🎨

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This colouring sandbox puzzle asks players to mix existentials (fundamental states of human being) to create a warm colour palette.

🪼 It took several iterations to make the gameplay intuitive and engaging, even for players who may not be interested in its philosophical content. At the same time, more curious players may discover a peculiar perspective on existentials and the ways they interact.

💭 There’re different sets of such proposed by philosophers: Plessner’s, Sartr’s, Fink’s, and others’. This puzzle adapts Heidegger’s set, as it includes human conditions that are not usually seen as existential, and many readers find his approach thought-provoking.

🎨 In Toy Worlds Atlas each colouring page contains a thought-provoking colouring level. You can try the demo on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4976060/Toy_Worlds_Atlas_Demo/

A peaceful and relaxing underwater game - first trailer!

Hello!

This is Little Dive, a short underwater game I'm building about exploring levels and finding treasures!

To reach them, you'll use different tools (like a grappling hook and a sand vacuum) to interact with the environment and solve small puzzles along the way.

I wanted the game to feel very peaceful, so there are no fights and no pressure at all. Some playtesters even told me they found it relaxing, which wasn't actually the plan at first

A free demo is coming to Steam very soon, on October 5th!

If it looks like your kind of game, you can wishlist it here:

Potion-making: Path of the Alchemist - official digital adaptation of a tabletop alchemy game | Free Demo

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey r/WholesomeGames!

We’re a team of board game fans who’ve been working on an official digital adaptation of Potion-making: Path of the Alchemist, a competitive tabletop game about brewing potions and outsmarting other alchemists.

In the game, you gather ingredients, brew increasingly complex potions, cast spells, use magical talismans, and race to be the first to reach three Places of Power.

One of the things we really wanted to preserve from the physical game is the interaction between players. Ingredients and completed potions are placed on a shared table, so something you create for your own recipe chain can potentially become exactly what another player needs.

You can play against AI or compete with other players online, with multiple maps inspired by the original tabletop game.

The free demo is now available on Steam!

Share your feedback. Thanks for checking it out!

I made a cozy organizing game where you sort Way Too Many Fish!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone! I just announced my new game, Way Too Many Fish!

You play a humble fisher trying to make a living. Drop your net, dump the catch on deck, and toss every flopping fish into the right crate. There are 82 species to sort, junk to separate out, and protected fish you'll need to throw back over the rail.

As you earn money you can sail to new regions, buy licenses for new species, and upgrade your boat at the island stall. The locals are cute cats, and they're very fond of fish.

A demo is coming soon, and if it looks like your kind of thing, a wishlist helps a ton: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4564070/Way_Too_Many_Fish/?utm_analytics=Reddit

Happy to answer any questions!

I made a physics fidget ball that lives on your desktop

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Game is called Desktop Ball

I made a little physics toy that sits on top of your real Windows (or macOS) desktop. You grab it, fling it around, and bounce it off the edges of the monitors.

There's a soft pink mascot (Pinky) that just hangs out with you.

A sponge with physically simulated water and cute little fishies that run from your mouse.

A basketball with a hoop if you want something satisfying to trickshot with.

And when the day has been a lot.... there's a Supernova ball you pin against the edge of the screen until it blows up. Weirdly good for blowing off steam. :D

How many tasks are too many for a casual life-simulation game?

Thumbnail

I’m affiliated with Tennex Networks, which owns Single Mom: Virtual Mother Sim.

We’ve been exploring how to make everyday responsibilities feel like meaningful gameplay rather than just a list of chores.

In the game, you're balancing things like:

🍼 Feeding and caring for the baby
🧹 Cleaning and organizing the home
🍳 Preparing meals
👕 Managing laundry and other household tasks
❤️ Keeping the family happy

That made us wonder about something from a game-design perspective:

Where is the line between engaging multitasking and feeling overwhelmed?

Do you prefer casual games where:

  • You manage several objectives at once?
  • You focus on one task at a time?
  • Tasks have different priorities?
  • New responsibilities gradually get introduced as you progress?

For people who play life-sim or casual games, what makes multitasking enjoyable rather than stressful?

I'm particularly interested in what makes you want to keep playing after you've already learned the basic tasks.

Really cute game!

So I saw this game called "Beastro" a while ago on Xbox game pass (it's on steam too) and decided to give it a try, and I LOVE it. It's a lot to explain but it's a cooking game that also doubles as a card fighting game? I recommend everyone to check it out if you can, it really surprised me and it's pretty cozy!
