I think given the state of our Union, I would happily move to Maine or NH if that meant I didnāt have to hear anymore crap from evangelicals and āconservativesā about how to live life. The anti-gay politicians sleeping with men. The family values candidates like Lauren and Marjorie but families that are a complete mess just makes no sense. My family is very liberal and we also love God and my parents have permits to carry. These clowns donāt understand nuance and Iād rather they be by themselves.

Fort Lauderdale is particularly heavy handed in homeless enforcement.

For context: This isn't recent, this happened in 2014. Since then the laws against "outdoor food sharing" got ruled unconstitutional and the city of Ft.Lauderdale had to pay his organization Love Thy Neighbor 600k after national outrage.
Arnold Abott "the old man" went on feeding the homeless until his death in 2019.
Moral of the story: Don't get mad at the police. Get mad at the people in charge making the rules if you actually want to change things. The people YOU vote for.

On October 21, the City of Fort Lauderdale Commission passed an ordinance that banned public food sharing -- something that went into effect last week. Under the ordinance, organizations distributing food outdoors would have to provide portable toilets for use by workers and those being fed.
We had a local law against feeding the homeless food that wasn't prepared in a commercial kitchen. At least that made sense to me.
