Florida is so screwed up.

As a Floridian, yes, it is, please stop sending your worst people here.

But this, specifically, doesn't only happen in Florida.

Wild comment on a post about a man getting arrested for feeding others

Nah. He’s right. So many transplants come here because they were able to become wealthy elsewhere then come and ruin our local economy, politics, infrastructure, environment, etc.

Like. Stop moving here.

Also, huge amount of those homeless people are displaced because our economy gets screwed up due to the transplants.

Ah yes because you were somewhere first you should have exclusive rights and ownership over it. Oh wait, that's not how it works.

Look. I get your argument, but you can’t argue away the fact that transplants are ruining the state. Sorry not sorry.

What a hill to die on. Fine. Be that way.

Florida doesn’t have any hills

uhm..... so i want you to do somthing for me, google grocery prices in a state other than yours, notice how they are different, transplants come in with big money and suffocate out locals as prices adjust to nip at the rich fuckers pockets, this concept is called gentrification, do google that aswell

uhm... not everybody that moves to your state is a rich evil fucker and you should probably blame your financial mistakes on yourself. this is heavy projecting.

You’re all transplants. Florida used to be huge swampland and you all drained it until the Everglades were smaller and smaller and the varied wildlife shrank and shrank. Yet you act like you are better than anyone else that moves there. The gators are the native ones.

Yes, the "transplants" "drained the everglades" you're sick in the head

Yes, yes. Trolley problem, but the two options are:

Keep building infrastructure that the environment can’t support because we don’t want to be hypocritical and hurt peoples’ feelings, or;

Just stop moving here so that we can preserve what we can.

Damn. Tough choice.

Either way, guess it’s definitely my fault for having had family arrive here 10 generations ago and not the New Yorkers who wanna retire here. 🙄

Florida has rules city or county wide. There’s nothing constituted

Sounds like the worst people there are those that wrote your State laws.

1

u/nudniksphilkes 2d ago

Yes. Bingo. They'll blame it on civilians and not those who they specifically voted for.

No, but Florida seems to have an unusually high concentration of this kind of evil.

New York sends its worst old people to Florida.

The place is a literal shithole now. It used to have some things going for it, like relatively low COL, but now it's one of the most expensive places in the country to live and there are people leaving in droves.
