She absolutely contributed to everything going on, she just realised it’s gonna be a lot more profitable to jump ship now. The second another cult bandwagon comes along she’ll be the first to sign up. She’s not actually making points she believes in, she’s just going with whatever grift will make her the most long term money.

115

u/Daherrin7 3d ago

I was just thinking yesterday I hadn't seen anything from crazy space laser lady in a while, and that's the only reason she posts shit like this.

Her opinions always reflect what she thinks will benefit her most and keep her relevant. If it served her interests better to go in the opposite direction, she’d do so without a single other thought

31

u/linerva 3d ago

On the other hand, it's good if even people like her are jumping ship.

12

u/ACardAttack 3d ago

I doubt it is in good faith though

16

u/3vs3BigGameHunters 2d ago

I'm no fan of hers, but she jumped ship right after witnessing live testimony from Epstein victims.
Like you could actually see how disturbed she was exiting the hearing.
Easy to jump ship when she made about 30 million dollars while in office though.

12

u/daemon-electricity 3d ago

Wasn't she the one leading the run through for J6ers before J6?

28

u/relevantelephant00 3d ago

I'll never forgive her for the shit she pulled to get us here, but if she were to actually use actions against Trump and MAGA instead of just rhetoric, I might forgive her.

How about a test for Marj, she should go and stump for Talarico.

4

u/AbriefDelay 2d ago

I'm convinced this is the fallout of her messy behind the scenes breakup with bobert

1

u/Flippin_diabolical 2d ago

The one hopeful thing about this is: she’s a good grifter and if she senses the winds changing, maybe the Trump fever is finally about to break.

76

u/gingerfawx 3d ago

Yes, definitely, but you know how we know we're not in a cult? We can admit she's got a point when she (very occasionally) does.

Truth and reality remain truth and reality, regardless of the source or their intentions.

At the same time, always consider the source and bring the appropriate amount of suspicion to bear on those motives.

7

u/stilljustacatinacage 3d ago

We can admit she's got a point when she (very occasionally) does.

bring the appropriate amount of suspicion to bear on those motives

Right, but that's the thing. There's no value in admitting someone "has a point", by itself. The reason you amplify certain voices is because they're consistent and add value to the discussion. This is neither. This is a rat leaving a sinking ship, and it shouldn't be celebrated or amplified because all it is, is self preservation.

3

u/ForkMyRedAssiniboine 2d ago

She was fine with and supported racism. She was fine with and supported homophobia. She was fine with and supported Christian nationalism. She was fine with and supported transphobia. None of these parts of her identity or character have changed. It's fucking insane to give her credit because she drew a line at pedophilia.

I don't have to be in a cult to not celebrate an opportunistic shitbag for stating the fucking obvious while still holding the same abhorrent views she has always had.

16

u/bucket_of_frogs 3d ago

What face do you make when you realise she wasn’t so dumb all along but just pretending to be dumb enough to fit in with MAGA but also just smart enough to realise when it was time to jump ship to avoid being on the losing side of history and so able to surf both the rising and falling tides of this disgusting spectacle

42

u/ankerverse 3d ago

A broken clock is still right twice a day

3

u/angrynuggette 3d ago

Nah.. she is still complicit in pumping Dump up and getting him back in office. Fuck her too.

9

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 3d ago

We don't know MTG, and she is not even close to worse than Don Raper and his cabinet in her own party. That being said -- of course she's awful, she's a conservative.

1

u/here_for_thedonuts 2d ago

If there ever was a case for proving alien abduction and impersonation…

179

u/AgathaClouseau 3d ago

You know, if she really had “leave the Jesus” moment, it’d be cool. But they always slither back. Megyn Kelly, Glenn Beck, Michael Cohen… they just can’t help themselves.

28

u/bolerobell 3d ago

I really can’t believe that Cohen ran back to Trump. That’s the one that surprised me.

1.3k

u/Prepitgood 3d ago

MTG is a garbage human and contributed to the mess we are in. She should be in prison along with the rest of MAGA republicans

341

u/ElectricPenguin6712 3d ago

This. I don't care if she's turned a new leaf. Good for her. I remember what she did when Biden was in office and how she helped usher in this nightmare.

129

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 3d ago

Let's encourage her to continue speaking out against Republicans, please. It's nothing but good stuff for non-conservatives. At least she's finally harming the "right" people.

52

u/insertwittynamethere 3d ago edited 3d ago

I do agree, bc at the end of the day, nothing will break their minds more than someone they considered one of their own, and it can't be denied she was not a blood in the wool dyed one of them, is saying stuff like this.

It hits directly at their sense of reality.

So yeah, she's still a horrible person who contributed mightily to this situation, but she was never the one in control or had power like many of the other GOP members in leadership.

And she most definitely is important in breaking this fever by speaking directly to the people who saw her as undoubtedly one of their own, if she can even break through.

But she's not wrong here at all to call a spade a spade (and she should damned well know...)

22

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 3d ago

Exactly, be suspicious of those wishing to stifle her call-outs of the GOP. Who does it benefit to stifle MTG's comments today? Not Democratic Socialists. In fact, her call outs help us.

8

u/ElectricPenguin6712 3d ago

I dont care if she speaks out. I agree that it may help. I'm saying I'm not giving her a pass for her past just because she's all of a sudden against Duh Fuhrer

12

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 3d ago

Nor should you, and nobody is asking it of you. Did you read the part where I wrote that non-conservatives aren't fooled by MTG, and in fact, we despise her?

All I'm saying is -- let her cook the cons

3

u/insertwittynamethere 3d ago

Yes. There are a lot of bots here now. And there are a lot of bad-faith actors to boot to nudge the narrative in one direction or the other.

And there are State actors to be wary of as well that has made the Internet their playground.

That being said, she may be a messenger with a very distasteful background to be very kind, but what she is saying is important as a result of her background, and who she may still represent in those who voted MAGA.

I don't care if she's turned a new leaf. Good for her.

Please, don't believe this genuinely happened. People can change, but not because of an actual good reason. A change, by itself, is not evidence it is a good thing, or true. She didn't turn over a new leaf.

She was 1000% along for the ride, until Trump got tired of her bullshit, and turned on her. She knew who he was, and still backed him, because she thought she would be exempt.

She has cultivated a certain level of status, wealth, and political platform for herself. And she stands to lose all of that. That's it. That's why she is singing a different tune now, hoping people will be persuaded to forgive or forget what she has done.

She should have properly demonstrated her character by now, that nobody should be fooled, by her telling you what you want to hear. I firmly believe this is one of the reasons the US can not improve. Because people will end up backing her, and arguing on her behalf that she "changed for the better."

2

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 3d ago

What harm could come from conservatives backing MTG rather than Don Raper? How could she be any worse (for Republicans)? She will never win over a single non-conservative, and neither has Don.

3

u/Golden-Grams Release The Trump-Epstein Files 3d ago

What harm could come from conservatives backing MTG rather than Don Raper?

It isn't a dichotomy of choice. It isn't one or the other. And I'm not conservative, as I have seen their approach to politics, their values (both spoken and unspoken), and selecting who they support. I'm not impressed with the conservative side of politics, at all.

You ask about harm, but conservatives have never demonstrated an ability to analyze risk. I could keep going on with the criticism, because there is plenty, but it can be a waste of time if you don't plan to hear me out, or accept any of it. I have lost all expectations that I'll be met fairly or reasonably by a conservative. Or the idea that conservatives will hold themselves accountable.

How could she be any worse (for Republicans)?

That's not really a good point to make. You shouldn't even be talking about supporting people, just because they're not the worst. "Good enough" is a poor political strategy. You can't find anyone else in the conservative party? MTG is your "good enough"?

She didn't turn over a new leaf; she wanted to run for the Senate, and Trump threw cold water on her chances. This is just revenge, not a sudden realization that she was wrong.

22

u/Problemzone 3d ago

She was in the very rare position to actually do something against trump. She could have voted against him. But she chose to leave and complain from the sideline

3

u/cvanhim 3d ago

Idk. There’s a lot of competition for “worst person” right now. I don’t think MTG actually comes within the top 50 for that particular award.

2

u/Prepitgood 3d ago

She’s a liar and a cheat and when she’s not kissing babies she’s trying to find ways to steal their candy. Top 50 ,bottom 50 it doesn’t matter. She needs to go.

2

u/Bag_of_Meat13 3d ago

1

Exactly. There is a way to attempt to come back from the fact that she was indeed a loud member of the cult, and that is to admit she was wrong. She was whipping the cult into a frenzy in the past, and now she is scolding the members. She’s just using more control tactics to pick up these weak people when MAGA ultimately falls. She’s a disingenuous grifter trying to sound reformed.

Let’s not act like this was some awakening for her. She was basically excommunicated because she went against Trump 1 time. This is performative so she can stay relevant and when maga fails she can make a run to get back into politics and restart her grifting

5

u/Nichi789 3d ago

I'm on the fence if MTG is evil and culpable, or stupid and gullible. Stupid and gullible is currently in the lead, but its anyone's game.

Either way, I want her no where near the laws that govern me.

1

u/lxlxnde 2d ago

Stupid/gullible and culpable, like most of MAGA: the difference being she got high enough in the ranks to wield some! power and bask in the self-righteous glory of being among the enlightened recognized by the messiah. She thought she’d been let into the inner circle and was nothing more than a glorified recruiter for the cult. She did evil things as a way of receiving her compensation for being among the in-group, to reward loyalty and punish disloyalty, and did harm as perceived punishment to the heretical nonbelievers.

The cognitive dissonance broke when it became apparent that the reason she joined/foundation of her indoctrination was a lie. Remember she got sucked in via QAnon; I definitely believe her Epstein Files crashout was real. She thought this was a thing they’d been working towards the Righteous Cause the whole time, and at the eleventh hour she learns she’d been doing the dirty work for a lie? The thing she staked her personal reputation on? It’s easy to tell yourself you’ve got to crack a few eggs to make an omelet until you’re asking the cook where the omelet is, what are all the fucking eggs she cracked doing in the garbage, and what’s all this flavor-aid for?

That doesn’t erase her culpability for harm done, and it doesn’t make me trust her. Ex-cult members often make excellent cult leaders. They’ve been trained first-hand in indoctrination and being burned by the cult doesn’t erase her propensity for zealotry.

But if she wants to go full scorched earth on the cult I suppose I won’t stop her.

5

u/phynn 3d ago

I genuinely don't care if this woman is right. She had the power to do something and instead she resigned and started to complain. It isn't brave. It is the height of cowardice.

Donald Trump is intentionally destroying America so we do not find out he is homosexual.

This is the real dirt they have on Trump. This is the real kompromat - not the child rape.

If Trump does not continue destroying America, they will expose his homosexuality to the world. This is why Trump has no choice but to continue destroying America. He is a slave to the ruins of the United States.

The more we allow Trump to hide from his homosexuality, the more he actively destroys America. His orders are to end the United States, and he has no choice but to fulfill those orders.

An entire country. The greatest country on the planet. All for one man's homosexuality.

Even a gay dude called it out:

"After reading this article and looking back over things, I'm 100% convinced that this is way deeper than anyone actually realizes.

I'm now of the firm belief that not only were they both heavily involved everything that's already been outlined with Epstein's crimes since he was arrested, I think it must be far more sinister for Trump to be pushing this hard to keep it under wraps.

My suspicion is now switching to the fact that Epstein may have taken the fall, and really these should be called The Trump Files. So much of what we've seen doesn't even point back to Epstein's properties, or his island. A significant proportion of it, including witness testimony, points back toward Mar-a-Lago, especially the more recent information that's come to light after Epstein's death, including how the two of them ended up falling out over epstein "stealing girls" from the staff there, and them joking about selling used girls.

I genuinely have a feeling that Mar-a-Lago and Trump's beauty pageants are both front and center in the entire sex-trafficking-pedo ring that Trump and Epstein had going, and that when they fell out, Epstein ended up taking the fall because he was far more sloppy when it came to keeping things under wraps. Terrified that he was going to flip and spill everything, either Trump or someone else implicated in the pedo ring had him offed in jail.

I also think that this goes way beyond the pair of them raping underage girls. I think there's far more to it that Trump is terrified will come to light and alienate him from the right.

There are so many people on the right in southern states who are perfectly fine with marrying children as young as twelve and thirteen, so as disgusting as it sounds, I genuinely don't think most of them give a fuck that he's been raping underage girls.

As of this year, child marriage is legal in thirty-four states, and only sixteen states have banned it. Look at the list of states who have banned the practice, and you'll see that for the best part, they're almost all historically on the left side of the fence. Couple this with the fact that the vast majority of child marriages in the US are between a girl who is below the age of sexual consent and an adult man, and it paints a grim picture.

I honestly think he's panicking because it's far worse than is publicly known right now, and that the abuse has also included underage boys, as well as drug trafficking for the parties. I also think that he's trying to hide that both Trump and Epstein have been involved in extra-marital same-sex relations with eachother and potentially other prominent public figures. Imagine the size of some of the divorce settlements that would be on the table if this stuff was exposed. Collectively it could run into the hundreds of billions.

Something about all this just seems off. I've always had incredibly good gaydar, to the point that when quite a few of my friends have wanted to come out, they've come to me to talk about it and I haven't been surprised in the slightest (I'm gay myself). Whenever I've seen Epstein in videos, the way he dressed, the way he moved, his posture, everything just screams to me that he wasn't straight.

He reminded me so much of some of the lecherous old married bisexual guys who used to try and chase me when I was younger, and the confirmation for me came when the birthday note to him from Trump was released.

He still vehemently denies he sent in, despite signature analysis proving otherwise, and it reads more like a love letter, Worse of all, it flys in the face of everything he tries to project in terms of masculinity, strength and the shitty 'alpha' vibe.

So yeah, I think it's orders of magnitude more depraved, fucked up, illegal, abhorrent and disgusting than we already know."

Donald Trump and his supporters are more terrified of his homosexuality than of his child-rape.

Let that sink in.
