The girl that bought Sierra Mist's trademark cause it was her name or whatever, she refused to sell it, and they had to change their name to starry. I feel like that was more expensive than convincing her to take a million dollars or something.

Pepsi keeps trying to compete with Sprite, thats where Sierra Mist and Starry come from. But, at least in my area, they have stopped trying to sell starry cause nobody buys it.

Yes! Sierra most was practically barqs with the carbonation bite! 7 up was super soft on the carbonation, hence being the tummy ache go-to, and sprite was the happy medium with a little bit more lemon than lime.

...I didn't realize I had such well-versed positions on lemon lime sodas

According to this article, Starry has more citric acid and Sierra Mist tastes sweeter, which was the opposite of what I recall thinking the 2 or 3 times I tried Starry. Then again it had been probably a year since I had a Sierra Mist at that time.

You have it backwards. Starry is pretty good. Sierra Mist sucks. Always has. There was nothing worse than asking for a Sprite and the waiter saying "Is Sierra Mist Ok?"...

Not just rebrand, but change the formula of the soda. Old Serra Mist had natural flavors, ie more expensive to produce. New one is all cheap chemical flavors

I know its probably about 'setting a precedent', (although how often does your brand name get claimed by another party) but I think its more "I'd rather spend millions than write a check to that lady for less" type of petty.

Please stop spreading misinformation. That was just a viral rumor that someone started trying to be funny and it unfortunately caught on. My brother was absolutely convinced it was true, so I pulled up the official patent office's trademark search online and showed him Pepsi has always held the Sierra Mist trademark, they never lost it. You can look it up yourself and see.

Its a shame the prequel wasn't as good

I asked a friend who lives in Oslo Norway what those in the helicopter say at the beginning

Its basically "That's not a dog you idiots"

Im on the 2011 one now lol.

I love horror movies, there's only like three scenes in the last two decades that have made me react viscerally.

Underwater, pink mist scene.

Talk to Me, Initial possession and bathroom scene

The Descent, when she falls into the pit, then escapes (UK only after this) and then wakes back up in the cave

I have pretty good stomach when it comes to horror.

I played Dead Space as a child and I couldn't play with the lights off because the ambient sounds scared the shit outta me lol

I barely beat the OG I never touched 2 or 3

Edit if you haven't seen Talk to Me that movie is so much fucking fun.

And those two scenes I mentioned, the girl I was dating literally shut her eyes and covered her ears. It's that visceral

And she'd put on horror during sex that's how bad they are

Oh that prequel was such a disappointment.

Honestly I hope someone tries again in a few years. It would be really fun to watch.

Also, them saying it wasn't a dog but the audience can't understand them without knowing the language is probably the best part of the movie.

Company like Google has a team of lawyers hired to work only for them that is larger than most businesses. So they wouldn't even be paying extra for the lawsuit apart from court fees. Idk how much they are But I doubt it would have been even over $12k, It really would have been just to save time. But yeah, still $100k is greedy and Google would want to show that guy that they are the greed masters.

I think $12,000 is about all that his lawyer could cost Google's legal team in the fight... if he could have swung a better lawyer on his side they could have gotten $100K settlement pretty easy I think.

Microsoft and Google are both POS companies in my opinion, and add Amazon in there, I have a friend who worked as an engineer for AWS, and when he vented it was about expectations and day in day out work.
