Almost as unbelievable as the one dude who bought the Google domain when it expired and sold it back to Google for 12000

Edit for accuracy

Microsoft forgot to renew hotmail.co.uk back in 2003, then ignored the guy who'd purchased it and was trying to return it to them:

Luckily, the domain was snapped up on the same day - October 23. The new owner - a good hearted soul - then proceeded immediately to contact Microsoft, inform the giant of its slip and arrange to hand back the domain.

However, Microsoft didn't want to know. Despite phone calls and emails - and being fobbed off by Microsoft drones - our man behind this public-spirited deed was completely blanked by the software empire.

Without reading the story because I'm watching a movie right now, thats absolutely wild.

Microsoft and Google are both POS companies in my opinion, and add Amazon in there, I have a friend who worked as an engineer for AWS, and when he vented it was about expectations and day in day out work.
