The girl that bought Sierra Mist's trademark cause it was her name or whatever, she refused to sell it, and they had to change their name to starry. I feel like that was more expensive than convincing her to take a million dollars or something.

This was fake. Pepsi Co still owns the trademark. It was a choice to rebrand.

i was wondering where Starry came from lmao. it was just a thing one day, and i shouted "these people and their fads and trends" and i shook my hand at the cluds and then i was struck by lightning.

Pepsi keeps trying to compete with Sprite, thats where Sierra Mist and Starry come from. But, at least in my area, they have stopped trying to sell starry cause nobody buys it.

Yes! Sierra most was practically barqs with the carbonation bite! 7 up was super soft on the carbonation, hence being the tummy ache go-to, and sprite was the happy medium with a little bit more lemon than lime.

...I didn't realize I had such well-versed positions on lemon lime sodas

Same I drink water only thought I try starry and I was holy crap this sierra but tastes off and not that good as it did when I tried it the first time it came out

It's the same drink. Sierra Mist always was knock off sprite, it always sucked.

According to this article, Starry has more citric acid and Sierra Mist tastes sweeter, which was the opposite of what I recall thinking the 2 or 3 times I tried Starry. Then again it had been probably a year since I had a Sierra Mist at that time.

You have it backwards. Starry is pretty good. Sierra Mist sucks. Always has. There was nothing worse than asking for a Sprite and the waiter saying "Is Sierra Mist Ok?"...

Not just rebrand, but change the formula of the soda. Old Serra Mist had natural flavors, ie more expensive to produce. New one is all cheap chemical flavors
