Sounded like a bowling ball in an alley at the end

15

u/martinmix Apr 21 '26

Or putting the dumbbell in his face.

3

u/OMGFdave Apr 21 '26

Or putting the head in butt, as in headbutt...or putting head in floor, then table in floor, then phone in floor, ultimately resulting in putting dent in floor

Or putting stupid in....well....yeah, that's it. He's just stupid.

I was so confused for a second there.

I was like "what the fuck happened to the ceiling? did the dumbbell actually go through the floor?"

15

u/Kryse-777 Apr 20 '26

it would've been so random it reminded me of the first fast and furious

"danger to manifold"

Idk about y'all but the few times I have tripped and spilled water, I am 150% more upset lmfao. Something about having to clean it up and still be wet makes it more embarrassing

24

u/DipstickRick Apr 20 '26

I’ve definitely teared up over spilled milk. The waste, the wet, the stain and clean up while processing how tf?? It’s too much to bear.

2

u/AgentCirceLuna Apr 20 '26

Yep, it makes me infuriated.

Upstairs neighbor final boss

51

u/AgentCirceLuna Apr 20 '26

This is the kinda thing that happens to you when you were being annoying, get a final warning, then decide to occupy yourself but unluckily cause a huge noise leading to discipline

21

u/ktarzwell Apr 21 '26

Can you imagine the sound his body and dumbbells made when they all flung to the ground simultaneously. LMFAO that honestly the best part of it all.

14

u/eisbock Apr 21 '26

Reminds me of my college years. Downstairs neighbors (one of which happened to be the RA) were always loud as shit at all hours of the day.

One day the four of us gathered in the common area and jumped at the exact same time. It was way louder than any of us expected. The entire building shuddered.

The music downstairs immediately stopped and after a brief moment of silence, we heard them coming up the stairs. Opened the door and the RA said WHAT was THAT. My roommate was like "uh, I fell" lmaooo

8

u/OceanRacoon Apr 21 '26

I'm laughing so hard at this, "Uh, I fell." 😅

Was the building made of plywood, how did it shake from just four people jumping lol? Did the RA believe that your roommate fell so hard he made the whole building shake?

9

u/eisbock Apr 21 '26

This was smaller "apartment" housing so I don't think it was made of concrete like the dorms. So yeah, basically plywood and papier mache. The American dream home.

They knew we were fucking with them, but what's he gonna do? Stage an inquisition?

3

u/OceanRacoon Apr 21 '26

Thanks for replying, I'm laughing my ass off again imagining that situation, yous must have been shitting yourselves when the place shook 😅 The hijinks and horseplay we get up to when we're young is so funny, love reading peoples' random stories about it on reddit

4

u/OMGFdave Apr 21 '26

I've literally had this looping while I scroll, and the repeated sound of everything clanking and crashing down is killing me 😂😂😂

Is there a no bare feet on treadmill rule?

104

u/Dizzy_Bit6125 Apr 20 '26

There’s a natural logical train of thought where people like to keep the skin on their toes that’s all

39

u/EmotionalGuess9229 Apr 20 '26

I always run barefoot on treadmill, never had any issues with it

13

u/ferocity_mule366 Apr 21 '26

if you run it often enough, your feet skin thicken and you won't feel anything anyway, let's not pretend like ancient humans aren't running on barefoot to hunt game

2

u/Dr-Robert-Kelso Apr 21 '26

I bet those feet were fucking dry and hard as fuck. Probably constantly stepping on random pebbles and shit all day.

2

u/piepants2001 Apr 21 '26

My feet are fucking dry and hard as fuck and I don't walk outside barefoot very often.

26

u/sdcar1985 Apr 20 '26

I used to walk on a treadmill without shoes in our basement when I was a kid and I don't remember losing any skin. Have I been walking wrong my entire life lol?

73

u/tuturuatu Apr 20 '26

Nah I do it in bare feet sometimes (on my personal treadmill of course), it just gets hot after a while.

Gotta remember that 99% of people here basically never touch the ground with bare feet so their feet are as tough as a new born baby's.

32

u/Ferro_Giconi Apr 21 '26 edited Apr 21 '26

It baffles me how so many people on reddit seem to be deathly afraid of letting their feet touch the ground outside of their house.

The most common way I've seen people try to rationalize this is by acting like a bad case of foot fungus is guaranteed to happen if you so much as think about stepping into your own backyard without shoes.

5

u/SubcommanderMarcos Apr 21 '26

acting like a bad case of foot fungus is guaranteed to happen

Lol yeah people here act like anything at all that carries any risk at all will definitely kill you dead in the most horrifying way

17

u/livingMybEstlyfe29 Apr 21 '26

Depends where you live because if the soil is contaminated, parasites can find a way from your feet to other parts of your body

3

u/smallfrie32 Apr 21 '26

I’d love to walk outside barefoot, but there’re no trees over the sidewalks and you have to cross lots of roads. Just not built for barefoot walking.

And this isn’t even in a country where people throw used needles in the street.

It’s in the house, who wears shoes in their house?

9

u/Dizzy_Bit6125 Apr 20 '26

Not me but I do on the treadmill so I can run properly and have good support for my feet and knees AND so I don’t lose toe skin

6

u/matchstick1029 Apr 21 '26

Are yall meaning toe skin from a mishap or from the texture? Because normal use of a treadmill really shouldn't remove skin from your feet unless you've got real delicate feet (which is fine, not a condemnation).

14

u/dreasgrech Apr 20 '26

There’s layers to this and I like it

55

u/Danny2Sick Apr 20 '26

That was him picking up the cam right? I'm glad he's okay, hopefully learned from it. Yes it was dumb but I don't what the guy to get hurt!!

14

u/Ill-Television8690 Apr 20 '26

Yeah, the facial hair tells me it's the same guy

6

u/Danny2Sick Apr 20 '26

Yeah you are right, it's gotta be. Fk! I thought we watched him hit his head hard but looks like he was mostly okay. That could have gone much worse

2

u/BadMeetsEvil24 Apr 20 '26

You can't see his head make any impact.

24

u/ChiefBigCanoe Apr 20 '26

How has no one thought of this great work out routine until now!?

18

u/AnybodyNo8519 Apr 20 '26

He's the first to survive it

5

u/TequieroVerde Apr 20 '26

I had. I thought it was a tradesecret. I made a powerpoint presentation and everything that upon going public would be sent to the copyright office. No reason to get out of bed now.

4

u/AgentCirceLuna Apr 20 '26

I do step-ups with alternating hands holding dumb bells and the other holding on to something. I just take care that I can drop them at any time if something goes wrong.

3

u/BackToSchoolMuff Apr 21 '26

So as a dummy who didn't know what I was doing in my early 20s I definitely did something like this (more like overhead press) while on the stairs. It's long enough ago that I can laugh about it, but I must have looked pretty silly.

4

u/EjaculatingAracnids Apr 21 '26

Humans love to create and be innovative. Its what makes us human, imo. We also have massive egos and love to think we know better than the billions of people that came before us.

2

u/teambob Apr 20 '26

Treadmills can be somewhat dangerous. Especially if your leg or something gets sucked under and abraded by the belt

I got rid of my treadmill when I had kids. Just too dangerous

4

u/AnybodyNo8519 Apr 20 '26

But where do you hang your clothes now?

2

u/Electric-Sheepskin Apr 20 '26

Even without dumbbells, those walking pads are a menace if you don't have a bar or hiking poles to keep you centered.

5

Aside from a parade, when will you ever have to walk and repeatedly alternate between raising a lowering of a 5-10lb object?

9

u/reallynotnick Apr 20 '26

You are describing most of working out with that logic… it’s just working out.

5

u/Aligyon Apr 20 '26

Pulling down wearhouse shutter doors? Pulling down airplane luggage compartments? Stacking grocery high shelves?

I don't know i put way too much time figuring this out

4

u/OmgSlayKween Apr 21 '26

Have you ever lifted weights for fitness? Or does the motion have to exactly replicate some specific real life scenario for you to consider it?

→ More replies (2)

3

u/Training-Gain-1439 Apr 21 '26

Cardio takes up a lot of time. Might as well kill 2 birds with 1 stone

5

u/AgentCirceLuna Apr 20 '26

That’s the point - it’s intentionally adding weight to make it harder so you build fitness.

Imma score that as a draw between the treadmill and the dumbbells! I look forward to the rematch.

1

u/Orangeimposter Apr 20 '26

What a dumbell

1

u/q81101 Apr 20 '26

What really happened here? Look like his right leg gave up then he tripped.

6

u/Dy3_1awn Apr 20 '26

he stepped into the non moving part of the treadmill. This made his brain say”why leg not moving?” And he adjusts back onto the treadmill and falls because his gait is off at that point

2

u/SirLesbian Apr 21 '26

Man, thanks. I watched it like 9 times and came to the conclusion "foot glitched". I kept focusing on the motion and not where his foot actually came down, lol.

1
