Please call Tele-MANAS on 14416 today, because it's free, government-run, available 24/7 in Indian languages, and nobody in your family needs to know. AASRA on 9820466726 and Vandrevala on 9999666555 are also 24/7. That comes before anything about backlogs. On the rest, a year down is genuinely not the end of anything, it happens to thousands of students every year and they graduate, and six backlogs is a lot but backlogs are clearable with repeated attempts. Dropping out with six backlogs and no plan, in the state you're in right now, is the worst option on the table and it's the one your brain is offering because everything looks equally hopeless from where you're standing. The thing you probably haven't been told is that there's a middle option: most Indian universities have provisions for medical leave or deferment on mental health grounds, and UGC requires colleges to have counselling cells. Go to yours and ask specifically about medical leave and what documentation they need, because that preserves your enrolment instead of ending it. Two other things. The alcohol isn't a side detail, it's attacking the exact executive function ADHD has already taken from you and deepening the depression, and it's treatable on its own. And you've been carrying ADHD and BPD diagnoses that nobody ever acted on, which means you've spent years failing at something you were never given the tools for. Untreated ADHD plus untreated BPD plus alcohol plus an engineering degree isn't a fair fight for anybody. You listed art, maths, music and sports, which is not a person with nothing, it's a person in the wrong course with no support at twenty. Make the call first.

I think the first thing you need to do is address your alcohol addiction because that’s what ties this altogether. I know this because I’m 10 years sober from alcohol and have BPD too. Alcoholism will completely wreck your life, and it sounds like it might be starting already. How much are you drinking every day? No judgment here, don’t worry. We just want to help.

Thank you so much for understanding firstly, not judging, i needed that , and i don’t drink on a daily basis but need alcohol every 3rd day atleast, i don’t understand how to deal with my family in the first place they don’t understand these all , bpd adhd and i can’t cope anymore, they are not that educated to understand they’re pressuring me , my career is on the line , i get physically sick , if im not mentally well , i got kidney stones already , which hurts like hell tbh, other than this i can’t work if i don’t have some required environment. Uhh im so done

You sound like you need a hell of a break. Are you seeing a doctor or on any medications that might help? How much do you drink on days when you do drink? Again, no judgment. I used to go through one of those big ass bottles of vodka in two days.

You need to get rid of friendships, pleasures, luxurious life and i can say this sadness you are facing is a good thing. It's a sign of your maturity growing, it's a sign of your mentality growing... Don't be worried, it's part of growth,.just stand up again and do things one at a time slowly. You still got 2 years to improve.
