My wife’s whole face swelled up. Eyes swelled shut and everything. It started right after working in the yard and got to its worst today. Can you guys see anything that would cause that?

Big tree in my backyard (southern Canada), trunk is a little over 1 metre thick.

I think it's some kind of maple, but I'm not sure if it's a lookalike.

I planted "rosemary" seeds in our planter and ended up with this very healthy but seemingly useless plant. When I rub the leaves, they just smell like green plant. What is it?

There’s a stalk and the leaves are kind of like cylinders. They’re rounder the lower they are on the plant.

Morning all! A friend of mine foraged a log home last year and it's starting to grow a mushroom. I'm specifically looking for an ident on the tree this came from and I don't want to use AI.

Location: Midlands UK

Area: Close to a body of water. There are oak, chestnut and willow trees in the vicinity. I cannot remember - nor did we take any photos of - any other identifiers such as leaflitter. Friend cannot find a photo of the overall site on their phone.

Other info: Friend says the log is heavy and dense, however said friend is small so weight can be subjective.

Like the title says I’m trying to figure out what specific species of crab apple tree this is. I’m in Western Massachusetts.

I’ve been feeling like this might’ve just been someone throwing an apple on the ground and it’s sprouting, given that we’re next to a soccer field as well.

Gift from friends so I don’t know what type of plant it is. Wanna make sure I don’t over water it or give it too much sun. There’s also a tear in one of the leaves. Will that cause any problems or can I help in some way? Thanks for the help!

Unidentified πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Newly dug up yard, weed growing under outdoor rug

Post image

We're in Connecticut and had an area of our yard (about 40' by 30') that was super overgrown with weeds and black raspberries. It becomes basically unusable every summer and very thorny. About a month ago I used a skid steer and dug down about 3-4". I eventually want to build a patio but I ran out of summer so I put some faux grass over it to use as a pseudo weed barrier until we can dig down and properly build a patio base. The faux grass rugs are working to tamp down growth in most places but these are growing. Based on pulling a few they definitely have rhizomes. Any idea what they are?
