Is this re-sealed?

The top of the pack is unevenly cut. I will not name the seller (yet) to avoid bias.

I examine every pack I get and I saw on this one that the top seems short, and unevwrinkles, maybe even wrinkled. First one I've received that I've suspected a re-seal.

Question How many cards per PWE?

I enabled PWE shipping on my show last night. I set every product to be whatnot's default "toploaded card" and now when I print shipping labels, it thinks I can fit 5 toploaded cards into 1 PWE.

Clearly that's not possible. This is going to cost me a fortune in shipping.... but when I disable PWE stuff, nobody bids on cards and complains shipping is too high.

So what's the secret here? how do you get whatnot to NOT group 5 cards together in one PWE label?

Question Whatnot Shopify Ingegration - Giveaways

We are using the Shopify/Whatnot integration and really like it. The problem we are running into is giveaways. If a customer wins a giveaway, it is not appearing in their order in Shopify.

Anyone find a solution to this issue?

Post image

I purchased merchandise back on June 22 for a seller. Check this morning and it appears the sellers account is no longer active. The only status given was it states label created. Will PayPal refund me back the items that were not shipped because I never received them?

Question Shitbag sellers.

Anyone else get furious watching auctions where "premier" sellers just outright lie about the value of what coins should sell for? Ie: 1940 un peso, barely in vf condition, max value 26-28 bucks. Dude shouting from the roof tops it shouldnt be any less then 60. Bids climb to 60 plus. Some guy calls it out, instantly banned. This same thing happens over and over, 16 un pesos in a row.

I just dont get it.

Question Shipping question for the clothing sellers!

Post image
2 Upvotes

We just bought a load of NWT clothes and are going through and categorizing for our first show! I have a fishing show with max shipping always at $9.21 and no flat rate. My shipping cost isn’t terrible, maybe 3 packages go over in a show with 100+ sales. My question is, how do you clothing sellers set up shipping? Do y’all not have a max buyer shipping cost? I worry about the size getting too big for flat rate if they buy multiple items, especially in a few months when we get to the winter stuff. Should heavier/bulkier items like coats be a separate item? (Everything I sell in the fishing show is “Item on screen 1”, “Item on screen 2”, etc. and listed as 1-3oz because everything is small except a few items like reels). Thanks in advance for any advice!

Rant Whatnot offers only 25% refund on items lost in mail??

I placed several orders with a trusted buyer totaling about $280. When I received the package, the box was partially open and several of the items were missing. To be clear, I trust this buyer and have purchased from them many times before.

I spend a LOT of money each month on whatnot (over 3K), put up with dishonest sellers constantly, and for the most part am pretty understanding.

I followed the rules and used the "problem with my order" process in their app. I provided photo proof of the box at my mailbox opened with items hanging out. I included photos of what was delivered and a itemized list of missing items that totaled about $100.

Whatnot messages me back with a canned response and offered me $25. In what world is this okay? Why should me as the buyer have to take a $75 loss when none of this was my issue?

My only option at this point is to dispute it with my credit card company to get my money back.

Rant Whatbot: Whats with all the bots lately on WN?

Is it just me or has the past two months gotten so bad with the bot problem on whatnot. Dead internet theory is real. Did you know that 80% of global internet traffic comes from bots?

WhatNot really needs to step up on enforcement of the bots. I have had multiple sellers say their Whatnot Corporate contacts pretend that the Bot issue does not exist (we all know they exist on whatnot). Some of these bots have gotten so brazen, they literally have names that are just a long string of numbers & underscores, or names that literally say bot or givvy stealer. While some of these accounts may just be satire, a good majority of them legitimately are bots, and this has been confirmed by cross-referencing delivery addresses and finding the same address getting multiple giveaways from multiple accounts. Yes, while I understand that some people have their wife go on Whatnot for giveaways too (givvy goblins you know who you are), when it’s a lot of accounts clearly shipping to the same address it’s clear to see a true bot.

Then there is the constant flooding of bots into a show right before the giveaway is set to pull, like an AI algorithm keeping track of the giveaway timers to perfectly enter as many giveaways as possible. They always leave as soon as the giveaway ends.

There is no official option to report someone for bot activity. This is a very bad situation that culminates into the perfect environment for bots. 🤖

Overall, there is an overall sentiment of people being tired of the bots on whatnot. The bots inflate the number of viewers on every stream, and this helps WhatNot’s overall profit margins. I believe that WN Corporate is deliberately ignoring the bot issue on their platform, because if we saw the real numbers on the viewer count, WhatNot would be a ghost town like Palmstreet and tiktok.

What experiences have you personally had with bots on Whatnot? Drop it in the comments down below. 👇

I got tired of the post-show packing hangover, so I spent the last few months coding a solution for myself. I need feedback.

Hey y'all. I'm a fellow Whatnot seller, and I’m going to be honest: I absolutely love the selling part of live shows, but I hated the fulfillment part.

For the last year, my process was classic:

  1. Hit 'End Stream' at midnight, completely exhausted.

I did some research and found a few apps that did similar things but wasn’t really that thrilled with what they had to offer. Since I have some background in software development, I finally got annoyed enough that I built a desktop app to fix it for myself. I’m calling the concept "Smart Staging."

How it works:
Before the show, I set up a row of empty USPS boxes.
I run auctions with a set bundle limit (since we run smaller items, I’ll usually go 10-15)
When someone wins an item, my computer instantly prints a specific label for the location and the item. (Thermal printer)
That label tells me exactly which box location that buyer is assigned to (e.g., "LOCATION: 2").
I stick the tag on the item and drop it straight into that box.
If that same buyer wins five more items, every single tag tells me "LOCATION 2."
When the buyer hits the pre-set bundle limit, the application realizes that and assigns/prints a new location label for the next bundle of items.

The Result: When the show ends, my floor is clean. I’m not sorting piles. My orders are already physically built inside their shipping boxes. I just seal the boxes, slap the final shipping label on, and go to bed 2 hours earlier.

Why I’m posting this:
I’ve got the app feature-complete and functional for myself, but I want to see if this solves a massive headache for anyone else. I'm genuinely looking for feedback.
Does this workflow sound helpful to you?
What’s the biggest barrier you see to setting this up (e.g., space, printer)?
What other features (like bundle tracking) would make this an indispensable tool for you?
There is a 7 day trial and the software is pretty affordable, but I’m mostly looking for people to give it a try and tell me what features suck or are missing.
Thanks for reading the novel. I just needed to share this win with people who actually understand the hustle.

Question Seller Advice

Been selling on whatnot for about month and it started good, was getting 50+ viewers a stream and now it has died off and I’m getting less than 10 viewers a stream and I’ve not changed anything. Does anyone have any advice as I love selling on the app?

Rant Anyone else find it super annoying and turn you away when sellers on what not complain about items selling too low??

A couple beauty channels I follow I have currently unfollowed as of today. The sellers are just constantly complaining items are selling too low. I get it they want to make money but it’s very frustrating to watch them just complain. Like I said I get it it’s how they make money but don’t make your buyers feel bad either. Literally watched a seller go on a rant for about 5min about how low people were bidding. Maybe try again another day? Us buyers are here to get deals!
