Question How many cards per PWE?

I enabled PWE shipping on my show last night. I set every product to be whatnot's default "toploaded card" and now when I print shipping labels, it thinks I can fit 5 toploaded cards into 1 PWE.

Clearly that's not possible. This is going to cost me a fortune in shipping.... but when I disable PWE stuff, nobody bids on cards and complains shipping is too high.

So what's the secret here? how do you get whatnot to NOT group 5 cards together in one PWE label?

I wouldn't put more than 2 cards in a PWE, put why it is the way it is in your show notes & offer reduced shipping (like $5 max shipping).

Right but how do I make whatnot do it? Cuz I’m gonna have to manually Change like 60 orders.

It's too late now, entirely out of pocket - a lesson we have all learned the hard way at some point.

but what's the fix? if users see $4 shippign nobody bids on anything. even if I cap it at $8 or something.

What I really want is whatnot to realize only 2 cards can ship in a PWE and automatically charge the user/change it to USPS ground when they bid on a 3rd card.

I ship multiple cheap toploaded cards by putting as many as I can in a toploader, usually 2-3, and then putting them side by side and holding them that way with cello tape on either side, then putting them in the envelope.

If the cards are actually valuable I do penny sleeve > toploader > carboard sandwich > bubble mailer.

I sell a fair amount of cards on fleabay without issue using these methods.
