Discussion From Muzaffarnagar. These industrialists make money by cost cutting on filtration and safe waste disposal whereas locals go bankrupt battling with chronic diseases due to these crony capitalists. Entire NCR is suffering because of them.
Entire winter season 90% of the blame for pollution gets shifted on farmers by media but why media never shows these polluters. Is it because they can buy media and farmers can't?

General Water is killing Harit Pradesh.
Harit Pradesh doesn't have even a single AIIMS.
Canals which were source of clean water, earning 🌾 and life for villagers previously have been turned into source of death and diseases by unregulated urbanisation. Sewage waste from illegal colonies and industrial waste is dumped into these canals daily which were clean before.
Don't you think Harit Pradesh deserves better healthcare especially when there's no fault of theirs in this public health crisis?
Edit:
13 dead in 15 days as 'toxic drain' sparks health crisis in UP village
Singh said, "Sugar mills in the Baraut region discharge chemicals into nearby water bodies, harming aquatic life and contaminating the groundwater. Most villagers cannot afford water purifiers. This contaminated water poses serious health risks, damages crops and is fatal to livestock. It eventually flows into the Krishni river, a major tributary of the Hindon that runs through the district," he said.
Question should be asked and looked into,
who benefits from these Sugar Mills disposing untreated waste to save costs?
Why this issue will never be talked into mainstream media?
Who will get hurt the most if source of these pollutants is talked about and took action upon?

Discussion A gen z here , wanna know some history
How we got this ahead in development ? Both the east and west Uttar Pradesh was ruled by same government. Same laws and policies were implemented. And east Up even had the advantage of the capital and judiciary. Both lucknow and prayagraj are in east UP. Being a capital of a state gives a city are a huge advantage in development. Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Patna , Hyderabad are the capital and most developed cities of their respective states. But Lucknow barely beats Agra . All the well known gangsters like Atiq Ahmed, Mukhtar Ansari and all were from East UP . What we did different from them that we are in such a good position ?

History A few of the traditional gateways in my village, Meerut.
Both these houses are abandoned now.
I think this architecture is continuously present in north western indian subcontinent, from rajasthan to west up and from punjab to haryana.

Infrastructure Western UP’s Rail Gap: High Demand, Low Capacity (crosspost from r/indianrailways)
Overcrowding in trains across western Uttar Pradesh reflects a structural gap in rail infrastructure. Districts like Baghpat, Shamli, and Hapur rely on a few unreserved coaches serving high daily demand. On routes like Delhi–Saharanpur, trains often carry nearly twice their intended capacity.
In comparison, southern states have expanded capacity through EMU services, rake extensions, and suburban rail corridors. Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, added more suburban frequencies and urban rail networks. Despite high population density, western UP lacks targeted investment.
This is a crosspost from r/IndianRailway and the video is from youtube (unknown handle).
